Also im afraid ... I LOVE PINK! If I have a girl it's the girlies the better! Grin

WarmSummerBreeze · 09/07/2014 21:57

Hi all, not checked in a while Smile

I had my booking in appointment today and I have my 12 week scan on Monday. Very excited!

At booking appointment midwife was lovely. Was worried she'd give me a hard time about my Bmi. I'm 30 so technically obese although I wear a size 12/14 and look quite average I think. Thankfully she said I was low risk.

woodwaj · 09/07/2014 22:36

Hi all. Mind if I hop on? Due no.1 around the 11th February. Already had an early scan due to pcos. I had my booking in appt today midwife was lovely and i've got my 12 week scan on the 21st! Here is a pic of my blob it looks like I have swallowed a diamond ring!!

Donkir I also hate merchandise avoided it msinly for 4 years with ds but now he is batman obsessed so sadly we have given in to a point but some stuff is a no, thimk kids get to toddler age and the tackier the better for them! We went to get him new trainers and we were on a standoff he wanted horrid Spiderman ones I wanted retro looking Adidas ones.....I won that one

BanglesSpangles · 09/07/2014 22:45

Lots of love spandex

And one for david- I share a birthday with my little sister, which we have always loved (and was great for our parents add they only needed to organise one day of parties, with a different 'shift' for each of us). In a weird twist, my sis's two were also born on the same day two years apart, and would you belive it, my due date is a week after my niece and nephew's birthday, so I'm betting my bottom dollar something is going to happen early!

blankfornames · 09/07/2014 23:01

Spandex, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I'm glad that you have good support in RL. You know where we are if you need us. Take care of yourself

geeky - am also finding that my nausea/exhaustion is worse with the heat - and definitely worse if i'm not drinking enough.

And i'm another who really isn't into pink!

Memphis and Bellaboo88 I'm not sure what caused it and there wasn't much chance to talk it through with the dr today. Making an appointment tomorrow where we'll get more info and potentially further tests. We do have two rescue cats but both are indoor so it seems far more likely to be from eating rare meat before I knew I was pregnant. I had absolutely no symptoms so no clue until the blood test results came back. Just trying to think positive thoughs in the meantime. And staying away from Google search.

Another one here who isn't the biggest pink fan and definitely hates merchandise.

Hope everyone had a lovely nausea/exhaustion free day tomorrow (we can dream....)

thanks for the brand spanking new thread frenetic! haven't been on in awhile, laid low with (TMI ALERT) seriously explosive diarrhea :( just me? On the bright side, had our first scan last week (9w+5) and totally completely unreal to see something (that kind of looked like a big-eyed alien) bouncing around in there waving arms at us! xx

Bearsinmotion · 10/07/2014 07:00

Not just you burmama Blush

donkir · 10/07/2014 07:29

Burmama · 10/07/2014 07:31

and you donkir !

BanglesSpangles · 10/07/2014 07:46

scummy - did you ask to be tested or was it routine?

thingsarelookingup · 10/07/2014 08:03

Hi all, checking in to new thread, thanks frenetic.

I don't get to post much because my life seems to consist of working, toddler wrangling and sleeping with no time for anything else. I'll be glad to see the end of first trimester tiredness. Although I know I don't have it anywhere near as bad as geeky, frenetic etc with the morning sickness.

Fingers crossed all is well scummy. That must be a stress but hopefully being first trimester baby is oblivious to it all.

I've embraced tacky with DS. I'm not a great fan myself but we weren't usually allowed it growing up because my mum hated it so I have of course gone the other way with mine. Don't think I could stretch so far to cladding a girl all in pink though. It'll have to be unisex colours if this one is girl (or more likely blue hand me downs really).

I'm on strike today so enjoying an extra day at home with DS!

9+2 and last night was my first night of not waking up with the gags... I'm not going to speak too soon and say it's easing up, but I'm currently very grateful for a decent night!

ScummyWithGin · 10/07/2014 14:46

So sorry Tori.

Bangles I'm in the US where they test for it routinely.
Who knows how accurate the study is but after all our talk about pink, it's possible that I am more likely to have a boy www.theguardian.com/science/2006/oct/12/uk.health
