I have no get up and go today.....really need to be given a kick up the backside.

hanflan · 09/07/2014 12:38

Haha if someone tried to touch my "bump" all they would get is a handful of flab and a good slap on the hand!

donkir · 09/07/2014 12:43

Luckily only my 6yr old goddaughter has touched it so far which I can cope with. Not sure how I'll feel if it's others.

Davidtennantmistress · 09/07/2014 13:07

hi everyone, may I join please? i've been holding out of coming to you guys as i've had several m.c's before however we had an early scan today and i'm so relieved saw runner's heartbeat i'm 7+1 so puts me due approx 22nd/23rd feb. :0 (same date as DS1 so hoping it's late)

JacktheLab · 09/07/2014 13:31

Hi David :)

My ds sort of knows he's getting a baby brother or sister so he sometimes says hello, but most of the time he just rolls around on my stomach which is uncomfortable!

Memphisbelly · 09/07/2014 13:45

Welcome david!

I just mowed our front lawn, it was getting long because I have been ill and dh is away a lot recently and it was full of cat crap! Blurgh!
So now my lost of wants has grown cleaner, cook and gardener Grin

freneticfox · 09/07/2014 13:54

Welcome david!

9+1. Didn't feel AS queasy last night, hope that's a sign of things to come. Shattered though, feel like I could sleep for a month.

Who was i kidding that the nausea was almost gone?! Bleurgh

SpandexBallet · 09/07/2014 17:46

Hi guys hope you are all doing well. Everything seems to have moved on so quickly!!
Unfortunately having to hop off the bus as have MCd at 10+2. Very unexpected as saw a lovely heartbeat only a week ago. Have had some fantastic support from the hospital as this isn't my first MC around this stage.

Just want to say good luck to all of you!! I'll be lurking to check out the progress I think!

jenmcspen · 09/07/2014 18:00

so sorry to hear that spandex Sad hope u r ok x

Memphisbelly · 09/07/2014 18:13

So sorry to hear this spandex

fluffymouse · 09/07/2014 18:33

Sorry to hear that spandex look after yourself.

I self referred 2 weeks ago and all I have heard is a letter about the ultrasound today, nothing about the booking appointment. But the ultrasound is not at the hospital I have booked in at, and is at a hospital I have very good reasons to avoid. I don't want to make myself to identifiable but can pm if anyone is interested.

Anyone else had this? Is your ultrasound always at the hospital you book in to?

cactusnic · 09/07/2014 18:42

So sorry to hear that Spandex.

Memphisbelly · 09/07/2014 18:49

Fluffy usually you get your ultrasound at hospital you will give nirth at but you can change your mind on hospital right up until a few days before so it doesnt reslly make much difference where you grt scanned. i has ds at a hospital and lved it but now we have moved and it isnt my closest option so they have booked my scans at nearer hospital as parking is easier and cheaper there then if I want I can change the hospital I give birth in at a later date but if you really dont want a scan there call the mw

GeekyHybrid · 09/07/2014 18:54

Hi guys, thank you frenetic for the new thread. Sorry Spandex, look after yourself.

Is anyone else finding that their tiredness / nausea escalates with the heat? Or is it just me and a side-effect of working outdoors?! By mid-afternoon I was wiped out. Under a blanket on the sofa as we speak :-/

As for finding out gender, avoiding it if we can. Mainly because if it's a girl and anyone buys me pink I shall have to kill them. So even if we did find out I wouldn't tell people, I hate pink! Amusingly, the first flower bed at work that I was given responsibility for has a pink theme, grrrr.

Memphisbelly · 09/07/2014 19:03

Oh geeky I am so glad I am not the only anti pink one on here, I never had pink growing up....the in colours for girls in my day were brown and burgundy though! My family won't buy us pink, its not even all pinks just baby pinks I hate, dh's extended family will go all out pink, tutus and hairbands and I will be on a rampage if they do, mil may buy pink to defy me, her daughter refused pink for her kids and she didn't listen.

GeekyHybrid · 09/07/2014 19:12

If anything pink turned up at my house I'd ask them if they still had the receipt! And if they didn't I'd advise them to give it to the charity shop. Simples ;-D

Memphisbelly · 09/07/2014 19:24

Brilliant! I am stealing that!

ScummyWithGin · 09/07/2014 19:33

So sorry to hear that Spandex, sending big hugs your way.

It's scummy2b here (in need of a virtual gin so namechanged!) I had my second scan today and am exactly 9 weeks. So much has changed and it now looks like a little teddy bear or jelly baby! There was also a really strong heartbeat which was great after not really hearing one last time.

Unfortunately just as I was about to leave and after my DH had already headed to work, my ob/gyn called me back in. They had just got my bloodwork back from my previous visit and I tested positive for a recent toxoplasmosis infection. It seems that it's both good and bad that it's happened in the 1st trimester. The chance of it transmitting to the baby is much lower than later on but the possible symptoms are more severe. Hopefully I am going to get an appointment for a more detailed scan soon which might tell us more but sometimes it can take years for any symptoms to show.

It's so bloody unfair. I've owned cats and eaten rare meat forever and I had to get it for the first time when I was pregnant.

Memphisbelly · 09/07/2014 19:39

Scummy oh my goodness what do you think caused it?

bellaboo88 · 09/07/2014 20:15

Sorry spandex xx

Scummy, I'm curious, seen a few posts about it & have 2cats. What symptoms? Xx

TheGrinchWearsStripes · 09/07/2014 20:15

Hello, found you all! Just marking place and will be back later to read everything.

freneticfox · 09/07/2014 20:34

So sorry to hear that Spandex :(

I'm properly fed up. Every night the nausea escalates to the point I feel constantly on the edge of throwing up. I'm on my fourth anti-emetic and my GP said it's the last one they're willing to try.

I'm so miserable.

donkir · 09/07/2014 20:40

Another anti pink here too. Family have been told not to buy pink as I will not be using it. I'm also against themes from tv shoes and things such as peppa pig shoes. It's not so bad if embroidered on to clothes but hate the printed plastic pics on tshirts.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 09/07/2014 21:21

So sorry spandex take care of yourself!

Welcome newbies!

Had parents evening tonight couldn't eat so I felt sick and kept thinking I wonder what the parents would say if I was suddenly sick whilst talking to them ... I wasn't though but hard to be up beat and cheerful at 7:30 at night when hungry and pregnant! Otherwise had a lovely day Smile
