Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

Turkish I want to do that but I walk several miles a day, feel like it's optimistic.

Toast me too! When do I get some time to myself?

notoasthere · 04/07/2014 17:45

trond usually between 12-14 weeks, it's quite date specific especially if you want the nt test done

Littleturkish · 04/07/2014 17:54

mrsw we are due date twins at the moment!

trond this is why I think my idea won't work, I walk miles every day and think I'll have to cave and go double buggy- but we'll see. DD loves walking and is ok on reigns and we live in a quiet town so quite safe next to roads...have to play it by ear.

I called hospital directly using 'maternity direct' to book in as this is what they've switched to in my area. So far, it's working much more smoothly than the old system!

Littleturkish · 04/07/2014 17:55

for enjoy your meal out- hope your power nap does the trick!

Mrsw123 · 04/07/2014 18:06

Yay littleturkish! Smile

I agree foscar, it's all very daunting!

I've got my GP appointment on Wednesday and was hoping to book in the scan, but looks like ill have to wait for the mw for that!

I don't want to wish away time, but it's going sooooooo slowly!!!

Littleturkish · 04/07/2014 18:39

mrsw yay indeed!

I agree, time seems to crawl in these early weeks. For DD it felt like we literally counted the sleeps between each check up, each scan...and then suddenly we had a tiny newborn there with us and we had to look after her- and felt quite surprised that she was there!

I'm finding the toddler plus early morning sickness hard, especially as I know it is only going to get worse. Fortunately, we have a great support network, and already this week MIL has taken DD for a sleepover as DH and I were just in no shape to look after her. Which is so lovely.

Hi all
Can I join in too! I found our yesterday, and edd is 12 March! This will be #2, we have a 3 1/2 year old daughter too.
Please forgive me for my acronym ignorance, but I have to ask, what is bfp?

pinkandstripey · 04/07/2014 19:22

bfp = big fat positive :)

Buggy wise, i can add another seat onto my buggy, although DS is walking quite confidently already at 14 months, so maybe we won't need it. Will think about that much nearer the time.

Last time I made an appointment with the doctor, and he referred to midwife. This time, I changed doctors when I found out, so i told the receptionist as part of the enrolment procedure, and got a form to register with the midwife, then they called me the next day to make an appointment.

I think the scan is usually from 11-13 weeks, as there is a small window to get nuchal measurements.

My worry today is that we were planning to move areas early next year, we've now brought that forward to asap, so i'm booking in and having potentially both scans in a totally different area to where i'll be giving birth :/ and I want to talk about the possibility of an ELCS.

Have a nice and peaceful weekend everyone xxx

Congratulations and welcome four months. Will your dd be at school by then? I don't know how school works yet..

Trondheim · 04/07/2014 19:26

Pink and stripey same here re moving and we are EDD twins too. It feels like a lot to be doing. I just want to go to bed.

notoasthere · 04/07/2014 19:48

Welcome four

ZylaB · 04/07/2014 19:50

So when abouts will the midwife be wanting to see me for the first time?
I saw my gp last fri, she filled a form in and said the midwife would call, but nothing yet. I'm nearly 5 weeks atm

fourmonthstogo · 04/07/2014 19:57

Thanks pinkandstripey, try as I might I just couldn't work it out! Trondheim, she'll be starting school in September 2015 which means I'll be able to get her settled in and do pick ups etc before I have to go back to work. I'm really pleased I'll get to be there a bit more for her at that important time too, and she'll have something big of her own going on too to stop it being all about the baby.

notoasthere · 04/07/2014 19:57

Zyla, it really varies from area to area, but here it is usually around the 8 week mark for booking in

ZylaB · 04/07/2014 21:03

Thanks notoasthere

notoasthere · 05/07/2014 05:38

A satisfying line on an ic this morning after only a 3 hour hold - I'm definitely less poas mad this time round, possibly because I rarely get a chance to pee in peace!

How are we all feeling?

I notice that other antenatal threads have fb groups too - might be worth thinking about!

Hi notoasthere, woke up feeling sick this morning but it went once I ate something thank goodness! Time seems to be going very slowly. I couldn't get an appointment with the doctor I wanted until July 29th, so have settled to see another doctor but that isn't until next Wednesday. I just want to get the process started, to make it feel real. How are you feeling?

notoasthere · 05/07/2014 07:03

Tired and nauseous. I have dreadful pregnancy insomnia which isn't helping one bit! Off to the theatre with ds this morning to see everyone's favourite pink pig....may have to take snacks to keep me going!

Mrsw123 · 05/07/2014 07:06

Morning! Woken up this morning in a bit of a tizz...getting period-like pains on and off. Not bad ones...but they're there! Anyone else having these? I'm worrying!!

Littleturkish · 05/07/2014 07:11

mrsw I had those for the whole 1st tri, and then they turned into funny burrowing feelings. I'm actually worrying this time because I can't work out if they feel as strong as last time!

I would take the cramping as a good sign. Have you got the pregnancy plus app? That's very good for explaining what the cramps are and what is happening.

Mrsw123 · 05/07/2014 07:14

Thanks littleturkish!! I'll defo download that. It's so difficult when it's your first, so grateful for you guys on this group! Smile

bouncesky · 05/07/2014 07:40

mrsw I've had those a few days this week. Now they seem to have gone.

bouncesky · 05/07/2014 07:41

Enjoy the theatre notoasthere

Mrsw123 · 05/07/2014 07:43

Are we allowed to say whereabouts in the world we all are to see if anyone is local? I'm in Essex....!
