Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

I have to say, it's so nice to be able to chatter about being pregnant and not have to worry. I'm loving how great this thread is.

I feel like I can't really talk to DP or my family about it all because they are being so cautious and don't want me to get ahead of myself. But this is a huge thing for me and all I want to do is talk about it!!!

I admit to feeling a bit resentful too as my sister recently got married and I swear all anyone talked about for the last year was her wedding. I want my family to be excitedly planning for me now!! (I'm not married )

I'm well aware that makes me a very childish 37 yr old and v irrational and probably sound v entitled.

So I'm loving thread as we can joyfully talk about stuff or compare aches and pains. It's wonderful so thank you ladies x

Capybara and Eatscakes (Eatscakes I had a feeling that was you!!! You've just changed your name slightly )
I am defintely NOT having an early scan. I know of someone who did and sadly they still went on to have MC. Sorry if this worries/panics anyone who is having one, for me I feel it is not worth it. I would still stress that something would happen between the early scan and the dating scan and what will be, will be. Obviously never been in the position of a MC so would maybe have a differing view if I ever was, but at the moment, definitely not having an early scan.
I disclosed to a friend that I wasn't confident of this pregnancy mainly because most of the time I am symptomless. I am still at the stage (5 weeks) when I didn't know I was pregnant with DS1 s could be still too early.
However, i did get a brief spell this evening of sensitive boobs, nausea and at the moment AF pains iin my back. Stupidly googled MISCARRIAGE on NHS choices and it lists symptoms (or lack of them) that I have for a potential miscarriage!
I think I am worried because a friend of mine had a MMC back in November. It was devastating because she went to have her dating scan thinking everything was okay and baby died 2 weeks prior.

Chat away Brummie. Especially at this early stage when most people are being cautious about talking about it in rl. It gives you the chance to discuss how you're feeling and get opinions from others in similar situations.

junk so very sad for your friend.

My nausea only really kicked in the middle of week 6 so you're still early. Plus everyone is so different.

MGFM · 21/07/2014 22:46

I have been wide awake every morning this past week before 6am. Tomorrow when I have to get up at 0530, I bet all I want to do is sleep....

teaandbiscuitsforme · 21/07/2014 22:49

junk I've learnt never to google anything with the word miscarriage or pregnancy! It's always a symptom and there's always some horror story.

I'm having an early scan after MMC in April and being seriously ill after it. I know there's no guarantees but I'm the kind of person that just needs to know! I need to prepare!

smokeandglitter · 21/07/2014 23:48

bradders we know our names because we chose them whilst ttc and this is our first, very happy with them so far.

brummie I'm loving it to, so good to just natter away about everything pregnancy wise!

Morning mamas - have created a new thread as we are nearly finished here! Eep!

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2139480-Due-March-2015-on-the-way-to-booking-in-scans-and-morning-sickness-ahoy

Hello to all the new faces - would someone be able to pull the stats over to the new thread? We can get them updated there too Smile

On the topic of early scans, I'm having one because I can pretty much. I have no patience, and like last pregnancy, still don't quite believe there is a small human in there!
