Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

Never been much of a sharer of this kind of thing, but need advice please?

I'm 5+3 I think, and have just started getting a little bit of blood when I wipe. Haven't even been to the doctor yet as only found out Friday morning. Not sure what to think. :-(

pinkandstripey · 20/07/2014 19:36

Welcome to more newbies! /waves

Yes to the 'thereness' in my tummy. I describe it as feeling full after a stodgy burger or something.

We've told family, and I've told one friend - she's an nct friend from having DS, and noticed I wasn't drinking tea and raised her eyebrows lol. Is funny, last time people noticed I wasn't drinking wine, not tea!!!

Hurrah to the golf finishing, maybe I'll get the tv back??

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 20/07/2014 19:50

Coastergirl. It may be implantation bleeding if just mild. Keep an eye on it but try not to worry

coastergirl · 20/07/2014 20:01

Thank you. It isn't helping that I'm not at all well. Bad chest and sinuses. Early night for me!

Dinnerfor1 · 20/07/2014 20:05

four yes the lifting doesn't really worry me, like you say most women wouldn't have been able to avoid it in the past, and I think I was just really over cautious last time. It's more the clambering all over me that I'm worried about, as sometimes she stands on my stomach/ kicks it by accident.

coaster it is fairly common to get a little bit of bleeding, especially if it's brown blood, and all to be fine. Keep an eye on it, and if it gets heavier or you start getting cramps, go to the doctor.

Trondheim · 20/07/2014 20:06

Dinnerfor1 I'm doing a lot of lying on the sofa when possible, and DD celebrates this by jumping off the back of it onto my stomach. Hmm.

junkfoodaddict · 20/07/2014 20:18

To all the newbies I am 4+6 weeks and often don't feel pregnant. This morning I didn't and though I have been through it before, it doesn't make you feel any better knowing this as the thought of an MC is ALWAYS on your mind.
ladyflower23 you are getting EXACT symptoms I was/am getting at the same stage. I think it is normal to not feel pregnant some days. I think it's linked to surges in hormones.
Having said that, my cramps and stretching pains ar back this evening along with the desire to murder someone and boobs have taken on a new sort of 'sensitivity'!!

teaandbiscuitsforme · 20/07/2014 21:02

Is anybody going for early scans? We're going on holiday at 7 weeks and I'm terrified I'm going to miscarry on holiday. I want a scan the day before we go but DH thinks we should go when we come back from hols. Not sure what to do!

ladyflower23 · 20/07/2014 21:05

Thanks junk food that makes me feel better that this stuff is not in my head!
We too have told 1 nct friend from first time round. Wanted to wait longer to tell other friends and family coz last time told people quite early and they were all excited and then like 'oh oh right so it's very early' and acting surprised and worried that I was making announcements so I'm not doing it till later this time.
I am a little concerned about lugging ds around but I think as long as careful it will be fine. Plus I have been weightlifting him for a long time so not really a strain anyway. I will still make sure I use it as an excuse to get out of other things though Grin

KeeperOfTheZoo · 20/07/2014 21:18

Wow, so many newbies and so much to catch up on in the last 24hrs!

I felt horribly sick last night but not much at all today. Still finding it hard to believe, like a lot of you are, but I guess as long as I'm not suffering horrendous cramps or bleeding then I have to believe that nothing has changed so today I am still pregnant! Smile

Am 7 weeks tomorrow and starting to worry cos apart form extreme tiredness, I don't feel too bad. But the tiredness is so so bad I can barely function sometimes. Got another scan on wed, so hopefully a heartbeat will put my mind at ease for a little while :)

MGFM · 20/07/2014 21:54

teaandbiscuits we have an early scan booked for a week on Tuesday when I will be 7 +5. We are going on holiday at the 9 week point for 3 week so just wanted peace of mind.

teaandbiscuitsforme · 20/07/2014 22:00

MGFM 7+5 sounds like a good time to have a scan. I'm worried that if I go when I'm 6+6 that they won't find a heartbeat and I'll worry all holiday. But then I'll worry if we don't have a scan! Also not sure what I'd do if it's not good news.

Think I'm worrying about it too much, need to be more positive!

smokeandglitter · 20/07/2014 23:08

Really difficult call there, teaandbiscuits hope you can decide! I think I'd be listing pros and cons on before and after, but that's just me being a weird list obsessed person.

PickledPorcupine · 21/07/2014 06:03

Good morning everyone

Fergie11 · 21/07/2014 06:26

teaandbiscuits I have an early scan tmrw morning and I'll be 6+6. As I had a mmc in April I am hoping it will give me the reassurance I need. I am waiting till after scan to arrange booking in appointment.

notoasthere · 21/07/2014 06:37

I'm having a scan at 8+3 - kinda wish it was this weekend but wanted to wait toll 8 weeks to reduce the chance I'll need a transvaginal scan and just in case my dates are out at all

Just debating breakfast - getting up the appetite to eat to stave off the ms is taking longer than usual

tannyLoo · 21/07/2014 07:13

I'm being scanned fortnightly, but I've had five MCs in the last year and a half, and am now on some hefty meds.

My first was at 4+3, and second at 6+3. The first was to check the sac was in place and right for dates before starting treatment, and the second was also a progress check and check up with my consultant. It showed heartbeat and it measured ahead of dates at 6+5.

I understand being concerned if you've MC'd before and wanting some reassurance from an early scan, but otherwise I would assume you are upduffed and enjoy it!

With my first ds, born in 1999 (oh god I'm old!) I had one scan at 20 weeks!

ZebraZeebra · 21/07/2014 07:49

I haven't even been to the GP yet. Don't know what's up with me. I'm 6+3. Need to sort it out.

ladyflower23 · 21/07/2014 08:04

Morning everyone
Does anyone know if you can just phone up and arrange your booking in appointment with midwife, or do you have to make another appointment with her first to sort of announce your pregnancy to her, like a pre-booking in appointment?

notoasthere · 21/07/2014 08:11

lady here you just make a booking directly with the mw :)

combust22 · 21/07/2014 08:12

Wow - al these early pregnancies. I didn't know i was pregnant at all with my first till I was 13 weeks.

smokeandglitter · 21/07/2014 08:27

combust I've known v early for all three of my pregnancies (lost last two) before the bfp because of symptoms, changes in my body and just a sort of intuition, a full feeling, a different feeling to normal, a lovely feeling. Smile this time my bfp was at est 4 weeks ish but I wrote two weeks before that in my diary that I thought I was! Amazed at 1-2 weeks bfp, but I didn't use the clearblue digi just their normal plus sign one (and I often find it harder to get positives, or have with my last two).

What is a transvaginal scan like? I'm having an early scan but not sure if dr will wait until 8 weeks to reduce likelihood of it or not, but want to be prepared if not.

northdownmummy · 21/07/2014 08:42

Morning, how's everyone feeling?
I'm pretty well tested after my lovely husband let me snooze for 3 yours yesterday afternoon and did all the ironing while I was napping.
Finally seem to have got out into my head that things could all go well, I've been obsessed that something will go wrong. I guess that's just me feeling a but more confident as the weeks tick by. 8 + 1 now
