I did wonder about the froo situation. Is it normal to just leave it be as . like people . have said I can't see it anymore! Or do you keep up the regime?
Dh and I have been dtd maybe once a week. It was a little awkward to start off with til we found the right positions that didn't squish babyB.

mrsb I think it's a totally personal thing I groom because as the flag suggests I'm italian descent and very hairy which gets worse when I'm pregnant. I don't think the midwives would be bothered in the slightest I just prefer it.
But then I am slightly crazy and did fake tan before my induction last timeBlush

YellowWellies · 16/06/2014 19:03

Apparently according to a saddened feminist MW pal the under 25s are mostly bald down there even in pregnancy (if my partner wanted me bald like a child I'd dump him, after waxing his balls Envy ), older women continue to have pubic hair like normal post puberty females the world over thank God and apparently most don't manage a pre birth wax / tidy. So I'm not bothering TBH!

I got boyf to do the minge topiary last time - oddly, considering he has a very neat beard on his own face, he didn't do a great/even job of my bits. It needs doing again, if nothing else just so I stop embarrassing myself with the pant moustache in the swimming pool, but maybe it's time I went for something more professional.

porcito · 16/06/2014 19:07

Given that I can't see it, and DP's not allowed near it, the only people who can see it are doctors, and enough have them have seen it over the years for me not to care less if it's a jungle. The fact that my stomach is a wilderness means I'm just letting it go for now. I don't know if medically you're supposed to do something beforehand to make it easier? Maybe on here, I read it's easier if you're 'tidier'. I might need hedge cutters by that point.

binkybunny · 16/06/2014 19:19

Yes! Bump is now big enough to hold a remote control :-)

Also big enough to not be able to see down there and dont do waxing. I said to DH he is going to have to start doing the trim but he didnt seem keen!

Pregnantagain7 · 16/06/2014 19:39

You can buy those bikini trimmers, my friend bought me one when I was pregnant with my first bit like clippers for your foof, think it's pretty impossible to do yourself any harm with them. Might be good for those wanting to do a bit of a tidy up without dh getting involved!
You could get really clever and do patterns Grin

FlipFantasia · 16/06/2014 19:39

I don't bother with waxing/shaving! I do my legs but have always let my fanjo be. I had an emcs with my first and must have been shaved but have no memories of it (must have been after the spinal) and had no problems with itching afterwards. My scar is low, way lower than I would probably have shaved myself (I don't wear bikinis so no idea what constitutes a bikini line!).

Yellow, I agree about any fella who would want a bald fanjo. Tbh it freaks me out even more now I have a dd. Smooth hairlessness really is sexual immaturity and any grown man who prefers that is gross to me! I like your addition of waxing his balls first though Grin

Kirstipops · 16/06/2014 19:50

Oh god yes baldy ladygarden is bleuuggh to me, a couple of years ago I went there as I had a white swimming cossie for holiday and was a wee bit paranoid but i hated the feeling, I felt perverted and couldn't wait for it to grow back in! DH is quite a gent in that sense in that he wouldn't dream of passing comment either way. Just trimmed and tidy wee triangle for me, better for swimming cossies and I just prefer it, defo don't do it for the DH!!

mrsb87 · 16/06/2014 20:04

Hehe yes I agree that the baldy froo is not a good look! Just trimmed for me but that is increasingly difficult. Dh is a gardener so maybe I ought to teach him to trim the other bush, hehe!

binkybunny · 16/06/2014 20:19

goats did you have the cake for dinner? I hope so as I've just eaten a double portion of meringues and cream... Feeling a bit bad now and glad DH is away and didnt see the greed Blush

LondonJen · 16/06/2014 21:03

Pregnantagain We've only done it twice since bfp. My libido only came back a while into 2nd tri and dp had declared himself not wanting to dtd for the whole preg! I was put out, so I know how you feel. His reasoning was that my body was no longer just for fun (with deep feelings attached obv!) and he got very 'your body is a mothering temple'. I argued I was still me. But actually he ended up wanting to on a couple of occassions. It's poss your dp has similar feelings, I'm sure they're not just full stop not attracted anymore.

Well, I can't see anymore but I imagine things aren't perfect down there but hey I don't give a stuff. Mind I have had laser therapy on bikini line and underarms years ago so it won't be a total disaster area, just perhaps a bit unkempt!

Gosh, we're so traditional. I came off the injection years ago and we just used condoms since. That would be the plan again although I can't imagine when we'll get to dtd ever, it's bad enough now trying to sneak the dog out of the room or leave him in a room without following us. Throw in a baby and I think we've got our contraception right there!! Grin

Bumpforme2014 · 16/06/2014 21:51

Haha love the topics of conversation! I couldn't care less about what it looks like down there for labour, these people look at it everyday for a living. Plus, after things like smear tests and waxing in that area I have no issues with looking like a hairy Mary in front of others, no matter what I do (including laser) nothing can tame that beast anyway.

YellowWellies · 16/06/2014 21:56

'Pants moustache' that's bloody brilliant! Arf arf Grin

You can buy those bikini trimmers

Yep, I have one of them! Best thing ever 3mm all over in about 3 minutes. Still can't see what I'm doing with that at the moment though. Boyf used his beard trimmer when he did mine.

Didn't have cake for dinner :( Instead had jolly nutritious wholewheat pasta with a veggie sauce and some cheese and broccoli. Boyf is the cook, so I eat whatever he makes really. He did get me a cake though, but once I was full of pasta I didn't fancy cake any more.

Went out to see Rob Newman do his show on evolution (ace by the way, and he's still way sexy like he was in the early 90s when he was in the Mary Whitehouse Experience), and had a mango slushy at half time. I think that's going to be the way forward from now on - AMAZING.

fedupofrainydays · 16/06/2014 22:03

I went through a baldy phase. Not really for a man - I just liked it!! Then I started to just do it for holidays, then I was pregnant with ds and skin was so sensitive I stopped and never gone back!!
DH doesn't really care but I have a bikini wax still - as can't cope with seeing stuff hanging out of other peoples swimmers so no way I would so that - and trim the rest with Bikini trimmer.
I totally painted my toe nails (not sure how with bump) and did some hair removal before due date with ds! Definately doing that again!!

Pregnantagain7 · 16/06/2014 22:11

I think maybe I need a bikini trimmer save on the pain of waxing! Not sure what happen to my first one I remember it being quite good though!
goats costa do a mango and something slush omg it's good def recommend it!
londonjen I can imagine dp is feeling similar he's a bit crap at talking about his feelings need to sit him down and try to get to the bottom of it I think I need to know he still finds me attractive I know that sounds a bit shallow but I could cope with other reasons but would hurt if it's because he finds me a beast! :)

ohthegoats · 16/06/2014 22:17

Ah weirdly, the pants moustache came from The Mary Whitehouse Experience, which starred Rob Newman. I'm sad enough to still use quotes from a 1992 comedy series.

STIGZ · 17/06/2014 07:32

I keep telling other half that the shortage in sex is natures way of the man expericing some "ban" for 9 months on something he enjoys most ! After all we give up lots of things we enjoy to grow a healthy baby ! When some processco is allowed regularly back in my life ., his sex life will improve ;) .,, haha !

Kirstipops · 17/06/2014 08:17

Awww....prosecco...heavy sigh....

Kirstipops · 17/06/2014 08:23

Oops posted too soon, you make a very good point Stigz haha!! It's going to be lovely here and my glass roofed office is going to be sweltering, I just want to sit in a park and lounge about reading all day...drinking prosecco...

M&S does a reasonable non alcoholic fizzy 'wine'... doesn't taste too much like grape juice!

Is there some sort of baby growth spurt between 25 and 26 weeks? I'm SO tired this week - and achey too - all around my torso hurts as if there's some significant stretching going on. Or is this just it now for the next 3 months?

Another one feeling absolutely shattered here, had to drag myself out of bed this morn. My house is a tip, the dogs got the runs, my 9 year old is hormonal and grumpy, and my 3 yr old has decided to give up sleep!
It's my baby's christening on Sunday and we are waiting for a visit from the priest they give you hardly any warning and just turn up not what I need this week, if the dog farts like she has been when he's here he won't stay longGrin
I had a small glass of champagne on Sunday for Father's Day it was so good I felt like crying when I got to the bottom of the glass!
