I've put on a stone too. Have a huge bump. Likewise stomach muscles are gone. Is anyone else getting that alien cone shape when trying to get up. Lol! I've noticeably put it on over bum and thighs too.

Oo yellow pizza is the one thing I constantly allow myself when preggers! Pasta for tea just doesn't cut it on a sat night but DH is out at his buddies to watch froch fight. Quite looking forward to watching what I want and an early night.

Loulou888 · 31/05/2014 20:29

Aww taking you are unlucky in public places. Hope you feel better now. We went to a party a few weeks ago. Felt fine until they brought the food out. It was Chinese. Felt just like you we were off home by 9.30 much to dh's dismay

binkybunny · 31/05/2014 20:31

Thanks for the reassurance. I didnt think it was too bad either!

Cant remember who said about the wet knickers but I had the same yesterday- went through 3 pairs! I read if its clear its ok. I was a bit worried as I'd been really busy, stressed and carrying boxes but felt kicks last night so all seems ok.

Happytimes31 · 31/05/2014 20:39

Hmm I haven't done any weighing, fingers crossed haven't put on too much. Starting to think about buggies, what are people going for? Having thought that bugaboos were way too expensive the bee is now in the running as it is so light and I will be doing lots of walking and public transport (I hope)! Thoughts about buying on eBay??

Pregnantagain7 · 31/05/2014 20:43

loulou yes yes to the strange cone shape thing! Why is that?! I've put on about a stone trying to be good but just not happening, bil came for tea tonight used it as an excuse to make lemon drizzle cake. Not much left now am blaming the kids but every time I walk past it I shave a bit off Blush
I really must try harder, put on five stone last time. That's like eating a large child or maybe posh spice! Blush

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 20:49

Happy I got my double on eBay and it was grand. Just make sure the seller has good feedback. As for bugaboos - I don't know anyone from last time around who didn't have to buy a second buggy. Not sure which model but the wee caster front wheels are like trying to lug an office chair round town - they died a death on kerbs and trying to go off road was just impossible. Vair trendy but not practical seemed to be the dominant view from my pals.

Sorry that should say all pals who bought a bugaboo had to buy a second buggy!

I have a bugaboo which use at the mo for my 8 month old and I used it for my three year old too. It's been great for us but as yellow said I wouldn't recommend it if you do a lot of off road walking or country walks. I live just outside Manchester so not very rural! I did buy a second buggy for holidays but only because I didn't want it to get damaged. My dd was in it until she was about 2 and a half she refused to go in any buggy after that.
yellow which double did you go for? I am still deciding, they all seem so big!

fedupofrainydays · 31/05/2014 21:12

I've put on at least a stone this preg Blush

I was 3.5 stone in total with ds but not worried of I do it again as lost it in 4/5 months.

Amazed people are at only 6lbs!! Clearly not stuffed your face on beige food like me to curb that morning sickness!!

Happytimes31 · 31/05/2014 21:17

Thanks both, Central london so no off roading as outside london I think we will use a carrier or sling or a cheap tough buggy. Worried about kerbs though...

fatpony · 31/05/2014 21:45

Had our scan this morning and we are team blue. It was so obvious that the sonographer said he was showing off! We both thought it would be a girl so some rapid adjustment went on today :)

I haven't put on any weight so far but today have eaten crisps, bread, cheese, donut/custard tart (shared), more crisps, pasta and Milka chocolate so no doubt that will change!

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 21:47

Pregnantagain I've gone for a baby jogger city select - its awesome! J loves it already!

Also had pizza here tonight and non alcohol beer. Know what you mean how pasta doesn't cut it on a Saturday night!

Those asking about the cone shape when you get up...I remember when I went to physio for pgp they mentioned that it can happen and its something to do with a muscle starting to separate down the middle of your bump. Now the one thing I can't remember is whether it is something the midwife like to keep an eye on if you get it but me23 may be able to answer that or you could ask at your next appointment...

mum2kiss · 31/05/2014 21:55

I should add that it didn't sound like anything serious but I'm sure they said they like to just monitor it...

mum2kiss · 31/05/2014 21:56

gunwalloe I like that buggy too! It I knew I would use it for more than 1 baby I'd probably get it but not sure I can justify the expense this time!

ohthegoats · 31/05/2014 22:16

I'm not getting on scales at all, haven't for years, is of no importance to me.

Been out with an old friend today who informed me I don't look pregnant, and have definitely been fatter in the past when not pregnant. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing to have been told. I feel enormous and knackered, just left her and boyfriend in the pub, got home to find no key, so sitting on doorstep like latch key child. Discovered though that if wasn't pregnant could easily break in via loads of unlocked doors and windows. Haha.

gunwalloe · 31/05/2014 22:18

That's what im struggling with to I think this will be the last and it seems like a waste im sure the price of prams has rocketed in the last 7 years I thought I had only paid £200 last time

It's your abdominal muscle separating from memory had it with dd and midwife said then that she would give me some exercises to do after birth. I don't think she ever did but situation resolved itself.

tak1ngchances · 31/05/2014 22:59

Yes I get lots of wet discharge. I was afraid it was amniotic fluid but apparently not.
I also leak easily if I sneeze or cough so between the discharge and the leaking I'm a right Soggy Sue.

MrsDinoRawr · 31/05/2014 23:14

I am away for the weekend and ended up buying extra knickers from M&S today as my pelvic floor has given up... Threw up 5 times yesterday (at 21 weeks Grrr) so went threw a few pairs then. apparently I can no longer sneeze without risking a knicker change. Last week I concentrated so hard on not wetting myself when I sneezed that I pulled a muscle in my ribs and could not move all week!! Still glad to be pregnant though!

cabster · 31/05/2014 23:21

Marking place! Hello to newbies and lurkers.

Bump is (once again) seemingly sprouting out directly beneath my boobs, though there's lots of kicking low down in my groin, how much room do you need, kid?!

If anyone's looking for more plus-size maternity stuff, I just got a few pairs of linen crops from Very with huge comfy stretchy waistbands, not strictly maternity wear but as near as dammit.

Anyone else getting a stitch under their bump? Even short distances are starting to hurt, ridiculous Confused

ohthegoats · 31/05/2014 23:45

I'm getting quite a lot of pulling type bump pains. I've had tummy pain all along though, do sort of used to it. These definitely mostly feel like ligament twangs I think. They are bad when I walk too fast rather than too far, soqquite a lot of ambling going on. Couldn't run for the bus today, short bursts are not an option with pains sharp enough to take your breath away.

my other weird feeling is of general heaviness in the undercarriage department. I figure that's just going to get worse.
