Really want a big glass of Sauvignon blanc. Big and very cold. Wine

Loulou888 · 12/06/2014 20:45

Hope all goes okay magic

Hubby bought me a blooming gorgeous change bag for Mother's Day.... It was a little early but was in the sale at £40 I love the yummy mummy ones but they are never less than £80 and for virtually the same bag I couldn't justify it. Can't wait to use it it's got green bows on it looks fab with the raspberry red buggy :).

Treat yourself to something nice goats you Won't have a handbag for a good while!

magichandles · 12/06/2014 20:49

Definitely get one with a cross body strap if you can, you can shorten it to hang it off the buggy handles and I found it really hard to carry a shoulder bag and push the buggy at the same time. Plus it's so useful having both hands free when haring after a toddler.

I've had a couple of Storksak bags and I really liked them but definitely go for leather, pleather - I had a canvas one with DC1 one and it barely lasted a year before it looked horribly knackered and faded.

Boo football World Cup first game about to start!

That pregnant chicken link is genius!!

That L&L bag is goooorgeous but I don't think DH would be too impressed. That said I so have a birthday between now and then...

And yes. What is with the hairy stomach!? I feel like my body keeps coming up with random new 'symptoms' that no one warned me about!!

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 21:24

That's it, I guess I'm confined to the bedroom for the next eternity eight weeks of football shite. I HATE football, I hate the noise of the crowd, the bullshit of the pundits, and the farting and slurping of the people watching it in my living room. Even up here I can hear people across the road shouting at the telly, and next door neighbour has an England flag on a fricking FLAG POLE in the garden. Grr.

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 21:26

My slightly annoying body thing is split heels - I get them every year, but not until well into late summer. I guess this just demonstrates how much I'm plodding around these days. The sugar lump fairy!

Loulou888 · 12/06/2014 21:39

I hate it too goats but I am patriotic and will sit along with a beer and watch england. Off to bed soon to escape the drone coming from the TV. Not sure why they have to watch every game ....

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 21:40

I bought the bag. :)

mrsb87 · 12/06/2014 21:43

Luckily dh disliked football as much as me! We watched an England game together once and we were equally bemused as to what we were watching. This is a footy free house!
Yes to the hairy belly button area. Dh thought it was highly amusing!Hmm

Not bad if you're wanting something less girly.

I think the reality for us is that it's going to be quite rare for the first 6 months that boyfriend is with baby without me, so I've mentally justified myself. He didn't mind the original Jojo one that I linked, so he won't mind this one. It's my money I've spent, so he'll never know... hehe.

cabster · 12/06/2014 22:10

magic thinking of you.

stigz yes to the low iron! It got picked up at my 12 week bloods, on iron tablets daily and boy my toilet bowl is suffering for it. I always feel faint in the morning but think it's getting better, haven't had my levels checked since.

Hello giant boob veins! Sexy.

mrsb87 · 12/06/2014 22:31

Don't be too jealous goats I have endured an hour of Forza 4 on xbox this evening, I do get to choose the colours of the cars though!

fedupofrainydays · 12/06/2014 22:35

We are a football free house too - thank God!! Hate football and all it represents, particularly over paid wankers! I just find it sick how much they earn. I've not seen any flags yet I'm pleased to say! I bet my ds gets into football just to piss me off!

Kirstipops · 12/06/2014 22:38

I have giant boob veins cabster! But I'm also enjoying having giant boobs for a change so won't complain too much.
I'm a bit of a weirdo, I don't like football (or indeed any sport tbh) but for some reason I don't mind the world cup, maybe cos Scotland's never in it so no pressure haha. I pick teams based on silly things like if their manager seems nice a nice man, if I fancy someone in the team, or if I've been to that country on holiday. Tonight is tricky as I've holidayed in Croatia twice but fancy some guy called Hulk from the Brazil team.

God I hadn't given one thought to a bag. I'm so fussy when it comes to bags normally as well, I'm screwed!

fedupofrainydays · 12/06/2014 22:43

Hulk?! Great name whatever!!

Which colour did you go for goats?

ExcitedCJ · 12/06/2014 22:46

I loved my Pacapod bag with DD. It did me & my SIL & will do me again.
www.pacapod.com

Cabster if they have you on Iron Ferrate ask to be put on Iron Sulphate instead. Easier to digest & does not have same effect on your bowel movements. I found it loosened me up a little!! TMI..

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 23:13

Exactly, me too. Nasty spoilt children, crap role models with usually racist, sexist viewpoints. If they're not rolling around in fake agony and spitting at each other, they're roasting some deluded 16 year old fangirl in a travel lodge. Urgh.

went for the tan bag. My favourite is the dark brown one, but sil has that, so won't copy. If I don't like tan when it arrives, I'll trade for black. I usually have tan handbags as i like the beaten up leather look, and tan goes with everything.

porcito · 12/06/2014 23:15

I don't mind a bit of football but am mad for hockey so football always seems a bit slow and over dramatic in comparison. We have cancelled classes tomorrow to show the football game otherwise none of the kids would have turned up!

Got my crib today that someone gave me, really grateful that people are trying to help but it's a bit 'used' so I think I'll end up buying a new one anyway! DP thinks I'm being fussy. I say that when our baby ends up with leprosy (or whatever) from sleeping in it, he'll thank me.

Also suffering on the iron tablets. Most rancid tasting things I've ever had, to boot.

YellowWellies · 12/06/2014 23:23

Just had delivery of a book recommended by a MW pal as the best available on pregnancy and birth (in her vair cool opinion!). It's AMAZING, v funny, written by a witty feminist cartoonist it describes symptoms such as 'contented cow syndrome', the 'psycho bitch from hell' phase etc and presents by far the most realistic and also uplifting picture of the realities of birth and pregnancy I've read (great tips on belly mapping to figure out how they're lying and optimal foetal positioning in late pregnancy to try to avoid a back to back labour!), the baby stuff you really need etc. I wish I had this first time. Its so true to real life - it'd also be great for Dads to be to help them understand what you're going through and what's coming if they're feeling a bit remote from it. Check it out:

Anyway I recommend this even more than star blankets! Its all kinds of awesome and has had me really giggling!

She also has a great book on breastfeeding apparently.

Porcito - you're lucky to live somewhere which shows hockey on telly, it was one thing I loved about travelling in s America too.
