Oh I had what I guess was a BH on Sunday. Stopped me in my tracks. Odd. Bump went all hard.

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 19:00

I'm not minding the heat - it's nice. I cycled 7 miles to the hospital and back earlier, and it was lovely to be out in sunshine in just a t-shirt. I've realised that swimming in the gym at the pool is bloody freezing - so whereas up to now it's been annoying by making me cold all day, it's now good in that it cools me down all day. Pretty good really.

porcito · 12/06/2014 19:04

magic, thinking of you, fingers crossed everything goes well.
buggerlugs mine goes through phases, it'll have a few days where it doesn't seem to stop moving (looking forward to THAT when it's born), then a few days where it hardly moves at all. It probably doesn't help that I'm knocking back Coke like it's oxygen.

I love when it moves, but find it so distracting. Currently sitting in my classroom just looking at my stomach move instead of marking. Professional.

On a side note, does anyone else have a ridiculous hairy belly?! I look like some kind of yeti. Luckily I'm fair haired, but still.

I'm going to collect a crib tonight, will be my first real 'thing' for the baby, excited! I think I want to have a moses basket or small crib thing in our room, and a 'big' crib in its nursery, with some kind of rocker thing in the living room (too lazy to carry the moses every time its sleeping. Which will be never judging by the way its kicking me this week).

Here is too hot. I'd quite like to transform into a hippo for the day. Halfway there with my giant hairy stomach.

tak1ngchances · 12/06/2014 19:06

Yes I have a hairy yeti tummy too!! Quite long fair hairs. When I take my top off at night, they stand all on end. Makes me laugh!!!

No hairy belly, but a weird 5cm diameter circular patch of dark freckles has appeared to the right of my belly button.

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 19:12

I'm going to get myself a really expensive and lovely changing bag - is this mental? I figure I've got to carry this thing for probably 2 - 3 years, so I want it to be something I actually like. The one I like is ch-CHING type expensive. It will cost more than the buggy as a comparison.

Ha takingchances. Glad it's not just me. It won't be long before my doctor has to comb me before she can get to it with a scanner. Definitely nothing but glamour buggerlugs!

tak1ngchances · 12/06/2014 19:26

goats we need a bag link instantly

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 19:27

Dear GOD.. the boyfriend just told me that my post GT test hunger is all in my head, and that I'm not going to starve. He said that whilst I was holding a knife, and standing next to some heavy kitchen equipment. I'm now in the living room for his safety. Will find bag link.

tak1ngchances · 12/06/2014 19:32

He is a brave man. Oh well he might be paying for a new handbag soon

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 19:42

Well, I like this one in brown - but it's not real leather. Not that that particularly matters, but leather will last better. www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+koto-changing-bags-in-baby-changing-bags-and-mats+b1872
So, my sister in law told me about her bag, and said it's the best thing ever - and it does look like a nice bag (ie, not a baby bag): www.linandleo.com/

tak1ngchances · 12/06/2014 19:43

They are £99 in the sale!!! Do ittttt

porcito · 12/06/2014 19:47

www.pregnantchicken.com/pregnant?tag=Week+24 - I find this pregnancy calendar hilarious. Possibly not as useful as the NHS one, but funnier...

Kirstipops · 12/06/2014 19:47

Ohhhh the linandleo ones are lovely, the turquoise one would tone in nicely with my sling wrap I've ordered.....damn your sister in law Goats!

binkybunny · 12/06/2014 19:47

goats get it. I've insisted on having a decent bag so chosen a lovely Radley. I have a thing for handbags and seeing as my current small no kids bags wont be used on a daily basis I figure I need (and deserve) a good changing bag from DH Grin

porcito · 12/06/2014 20:09

Definitely get it! As you said, 2-3 years is a long time to be wandering around with a hideous bag. It might take the sting off actually changing its nappies too...

mrsb87 · 12/06/2014 20:15

porcito that's awesome! Love a bit of cheeky humour!
Re changing bags I have my eye on a pink lining one, but I'm still researching really!

fedupofrainydays · 12/06/2014 20:16

On the bag front - I have found ones that can also go across the body very useful when they are in the move and you need arms and hands for other stuff!

Ugh - disaster journey home. Left client at 4.30 got to ds at 7.30. Trains out of Waterloo totally broken. Hot, sweaty, busy, rammed trains - with no air con. Sweaty smelly people stick to clothes. Tired son and cross childminder. Not overly fun. At least we go on holiday on sat Grin

ohthegoats · 12/06/2014 20:26

I just saw the £99 sale option... I expect I'll not manage to resist. I usually have tan coloured leather handbags.. eeek.

A friend of mine has a backpack type changing bag, which is REALLY what I should get - then it's just on your back and I won't think about it/find it in the way. But... nice baaaaag...

YellowWellies · 12/06/2014 20:29

To be fair I only used an actual change bag for the first year, now I just pop a few snacks, a couple of nappies and a pack of wipes in my handbag. I had one of the koto ones (they're only £35 in Boots) and loved it but after a year of abuse Jonas pulled the zip off Envy ! I would go for fake wipe clean leather over real leather - you'll be carrying shit soiled clothes in it, will have a few banana got smushed in my bag disasters and wee sticky fingers will be all over it. The bags linked are lovely - the only ones I hate are the saccharin cupcakes yummy mummy ones - £90 and they make you look 5!

fedupofrainydays · 12/06/2014 20:30

Agree, I hate the yummy mummy ones. Expensive but horrible!

YellowWellies · 12/06/2014 20:31

goats nah backpacks are shit for stringing across buggy handles - go for a nice one you can hang on the buggy.

Oh and if you are likely to be shopping with buggy but without a car I really recommend buggy clips from "My buggy buddy" - they're an awesome way of getting your shopping home without you having to carry them.
