Brummiegirl15 · 23/05/2014 17:35

Hi all.
Sadly I have to bow out ths thread,
Started bleeding at lunchtime, bright bright red and has not stopped.
Been to docs and sadly it's a mc. Gutted.
They are trying to encourage natural management so have told me to rest with painkillers but if pain gets too much then go to A&E. unfortunately at Birmingham Women's Hospital you only get to EPU with a referral and docs reckon I'm early enough to pass naturally.

However she was lovely and told me to take heart at how early I got pregnant, 2nd month trying so at least we can get pregnant and to try again as soon as 1 period passed.

Anyway so I'm bowing out on this thread - good luck to you Ladies. It was not our little beans time

Sonics · 23/05/2014 17:51

I'm so sorry Brummie, take care of yourself. I hope you get a sticky bean in the not too distant future. Sad

Minibagel · 23/05/2014 18:13

glenpip and brummie ugh I am so sorry to hear your sad news. It is such a weird thing to go through, make sure you read up on the miscarriage association website and stay away from google image searches (I swear that was the most upsetting thing about my mc, but you can't unsee the horrors on the internet) Take care and take heart. It is very unlikely to happen twice in a row x

Saraswati · 23/05/2014 18:15

So sorry brummie too Thanks

What a shitty day on the thread :(

looking4rainbow · 23/05/2014 18:21

So sorry brummie. I agree with minibagel about Mc association. Do take positive from the fact you got pregnant so quickly it's half the battle. I suffered mmc earlier this year. 2 months later I had bfp now I'm 8wks. There is hope. Good luck for future glenpip and brummie x

CallingAllEngels · 23/05/2014 18:25

I'm so s I rry brummie . Look after yourself.

Loobyloo893 · 23/05/2014 18:28

So sorry brummie. Hope you're doing ok Thanks

RetroHippy · 23/05/2014 18:28

Hello hello, thought I'd pop in here so I can obsess over compare symptoms with other people at the same stage.

So, stats (for those who don't already know) : ttc #1, cycle 6, bfp 18th May.

So far, 18 dpo, had nearly a week of very light spotting from 11dpo to 16dpo, but seems to have stopped now. CM increasing today. Boobs ache, not the nips, but down the outsides and underneath. Having to clutch them to run up and down stairs! Waking at 4/5am daily, needing to pee and starving hungry, also starving all day long, massively craving protein, but trying to snack on fruit Hmm Bit of nausea but only when really hungry in the morning.

Got GP appt booked for Tuesday, DH has told his boss so he can get off work early to come. Is that normal? Are we going to be looked at weirdly?! He says he wants to be involved in all of it maybe not the excessive wind.

What's the GP likely to say? Anything interesting?

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 23/05/2014 18:34

So sorry Brummie and Glenpip ...

Welcome retro :)

Docs appointment isnt too thorough , mine was 5 mins! But I think it is lovely your dh wants to go and it is not weird at all.

I had my first midwife apt today - it's made it all the more real :) I am over 8 weeks now. Time is flying to be honest...

Glenpip77 · 23/05/2014 18:45

Brummie - so sorry to hear your going through this too. Fingers crossed it doesn't last long for you - I've taken the natural route and the intense cramps probably lasted about 13 hrs on and off - I'm now at the other side and just light bleeding with no pain. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean next time xx

Minibagel · 23/05/2014 18:45

Hello Retro I don't think its weird at all, my husband went to most of my mw appointments with our first. When are you due? I'm 15th jan I think but waiting for the 12w scan to find out unless I wangle an early one after my booking in appointment at 8 weeks. My symptoms have stepped up today, ms at last... I thought I was going to be sick on the bus! I think i've been ignoring my nausea because I'm so busy looking aftet ds1 who is 10 months

ilovelamp78 · 23/05/2014 18:48

Sorry to hear the sad news Brummiegirl and Glenpip. Sending you lots of hugs x

RetroHippy: my GP appointment was a bit of a waste of time it went like this.

im pregnant, its my first.
him: congratulations, was it planned?
Me: yes
Followed by when was your last period, is that date accurate? Do you drink/ smoke /drink coffee? Are you taking folic acid? Dont eat a ton of tuna/brie/ pate / rare meat /runny egg. Collect a form from reception and a midwife will call you.

Unless you have some really specific medical stuff to discuss- just ask for a booking form for the midwife.

Re : exercise discussion- I haven't stopped although I dont exercise as much as I used to- just whenever I feel like I have the energy cos i still feel mega sleepy at times, especially as im on my feet all day at work. Havent braved DTD either yet but maybe soon as it sounds like im missing out?!
