This time not yet!! But was 17 weeks with dd1 and even earlier with the twins. Was really bad too breastpads needed from 20 weeks.

Glad its not happening badly yet though I need a new bra and there isn't enoigh room for breast pads in this bra

weirdbird · 08/09/2006 22:59

Didn't leak at all last time, but they feel heavy enough to start milking!

lucy5 · 08/09/2006 23:37

Not last time or this time, thank god! Afterwards is more than enough thank you.

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 07:32

No leaking here, but I can commiserate with elibean on the sleeplessnes. Dh gets restless legs sometimes , too and he recommended I try a heating pad at the base of my spine. It seemed to work tonight. Although, it's 1:30 am and I'm up with the sniffles. Ds caught a cold and I am now sharing it with him.

castlesintheair · 09/09/2006 07:59

Ooh, what a lovely list of moans!

Well, I have a new one. Spent the whole of yesterday evening/night worrying that I couldn't feel Bean moving. I think it has dropped a bit which is why I haven't been sick today so far (with indigestion) which probably explains it.

Jabber, I'm another one, I had CVS at 12 weeks. Unlike nuchal/triple scans this is fairly conclusive. I was high risk for all 3 pgs, 1:30 for DS1. Not sure I would have done anything if results had been positive but luckily we didn't have to face that dilemma.

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 08:02

I know what you mean. It made me sick to think about having to make a decision regarding bad news, but once it was over it was a relief that I just couldn't have had otherwise.

I have days where he doesn't move as much, too. Do you ever drink a glass of water and lie on your left side? That usually gets him started for me.

castlesintheair · 09/09/2006 08:04

Will go and try it now. Thanks for the tip!

Are you still up? Have you been to bed? What time is it now? Sorry, very nosey!

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 08:12

It's just after 2:00 am I went to bed about 10:30 but woke up after 3 hours with a stuffy nose and scratchy throat. I have done the salt water thing and am drinking juice right now. What a weekend...

Elibean · 09/09/2006 09:01

Love it - if we can all moan as much as we need to here, we may be able to fake cheery third trimesteriness to the outside world: odds?!?

Jabberwocky, I feel for you...we just got over colds, went and saw sneezing friends on Wednesdsay, and dd is sneezing and bunged up this morning. Just in time for first day at nursery on Monday Hope you got some sleep in the end..

No leaking here, last time or this time - but on and off sharp stabby pains, which always freak me out a bit as I have fibrocystic lumpiness in both breasts, but especially the sore one. BF'ing was really really painful for me with dd, for about 8 weeks - wonder if it'll be better this time? Anyone else find it painful? Not cracked nipples or anything, just the let down and generally. Tips welcome!

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 09:03

I found it incredibly painful (still up as you see...) I am hoping things go better this time around. I've decided to have nipple shields on hand just in case.

castlesintheair · 09/09/2006 11:48

That's amazing Jabber, it worked so well I now have indigestion again!! At least I can stop worrying for now Sorry you have been up most of the night. Hope you feel better soon. Little practice run of things to come

Yes, EB, I had lots of pain, cracked nips etc BFing. It is lovely this having babies malarky isn't it? Feel for you with your DD starting on Monday . DS starts school same day. You know though that they will love it, it is just us mum's who find it hard. That's what I keep telling myself anyway

One of these days I'm going to get all the emoticons into one post ...

Elibean · 09/09/2006 12:23

Now there's an irresistable challenge....all emoticons in one go...

Glad the water trick worked Castles, I had a day like that this week and its amazing how fast I started to worry. Back to endless kicking now, and feels like transverse still: makes me feel like I swallowed a huge bone sideways.

Good to know I'm not alone on painful boobs (though never had painful nipples, so shields wouldn't help - its inside that hurts) I do like being normal

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 14:05

I'm so glad it worked for you castles! elibean, my lo was transverse at both 2nd tromester ultrasounds, and I'm pretty sure he still is. It does feel like a bone sideways

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 14:05

oops! trimester

magnolia1 · 09/09/2006 14:11

Well ladies yesterday I did my photoshoot for First magazine (naked but tasteful and pretty much covered in the right places) I was pretty comfortable naked in front of the photographer etc although it was an all female team which was great.

This baby seems to be sideways too and I can sometimes see head and bum lift out at the same time resembling a monkey nut!!!!

jabberwocky · 09/09/2006 14:17

That's terrific, magnolia! I did preggo shots last time and I'm so glad I did.

Although dh was scandalized - and they were just for us

bubblylion · 09/09/2006 18:09

Hi All,

I had a lovely morning. I went for a reflexology session, (never had one before), it was soooo relaxing. I've been constipated for a few days and it's amazing, really works. If anyone gets chance its really worth treating yourselves. Hope I'm going to sleep at bit better tonight too.

Devongirl · 10/09/2006 12:01

Hi everyone - is anyone around, particularly anyone with a slidy sided Mamas and Papas cot? I am trying to assemble mine, without instructions as it's not new, but I can't make the sides stay up! HELP me please!!!!!!!!!!

Devongirl · 10/09/2006 12:39

Ignore my last post (if anyone is alive out there!) as I have just managed to put the cot up and the side is now staying up! I feel like I could do ANYTHING now, after that - it was like the Krypton Factor
x

jabberwocky · 10/09/2006 12:44

Congratulations! It took me forever to get the side up and down on ds's crib - and that was after it was put together!

spinamum · 10/09/2006 19:53

no leaky boobs here yet
feeling a bit dizzy because i've just spent a silly ammount on ebay for a buggy we don't need(well that's a matter of opinion in our house.) DH is spending money on things that aren't neccessary either!
Anyone else feeling really rough at the moment. I've not got any specific symptoms just "being pg" Glad your photo shoot went well Magnolia. you must tell us when you're published!

lucy5 · 10/09/2006 20:13

I had a strange experience last night. I had the most awful pain, it literally knocked me of my feet. I panicked and thought I was going into labour! I actually think it was because I had been sitting at the computer for to long.

Calmriver · 10/09/2006 21:43

Yes, agreed about the odd low pains. I thought I was going to go into labour the other night. When I get up to loo or water in the night, it's so hard to stand up straight! I feel all tight and like I could just explode!

I have just had my nightly thick peanut butter on toast and am busy having my hot milk milo! AMAZING together!!!

OP posts:
jabberwocky · 10/09/2006 21:57

I'm so glad you mentioned the tightness, cr. I was just telling a friend of mine that it was starting to feel like I was carrying a bag of cement instead of a baby sometimes. So tight and heavy!
