Hi All, thought I would start a 3rd trimester thread, as most are past 23 weeks now!!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
castlesintheair · 07/09/2006 12:21

Oh weirdbird, how did it go with your DD this morning? My DS starts on Monday but only mornings for 1st term thankfully. I don't even have his uniform yet

Feeling very chilled today despite being up all night with DC's lovely vomiting bug. Can't keep up with myself and all these 'mones!

MNP, that's what everyone says to me about knitting but I tell them all the super models are doing it so it is really COOL! We were given some lovely sparkly wool and thick needles at one of the M&T groups I go to and have been hooked ever since, when I get the chance that is.

accessorizequeen · 07/09/2006 12:24

message #2 (cos I invented it ;)
really glad i'm not the only one who's getting snappish. guilty of several transgressions lately & I feel awful every time. Not so much with dp, but ds has been getting on my wick a bit!
Bump is keeping me up at night, and ds woke me at 3 AGAIN for toilet, toilet so I still haven't got any sleep. Grrrrrr!

weirdbird · 07/09/2006 12:27

DD was fine, it was me that didn't want to go!

She went straight into the classroom and sat on the mat ready to start

Just to test/practise!

castlesintheair · 07/09/2006 12:28

Ahhhhhh, weirdbird, just seen the photo of your DD. Sweetie-pie. I hope she enjoys it.

weirdbird · 07/09/2006 12:29

Pants, nothing even appeared that time.

What do you post if you dont want to post a description every time, just want to post the link?

castlesintheair · 07/09/2006 12:31

So pleased she was a happy bunny weirdbird. I think my DS is chomping at the bit to go to school really, it's me that is anxious. I shall wear my dark glasses and waterproof mascara and bite my bottom lip!!

weirdbird · 07/09/2006 12:34

My DD couldn't wait to go, she has been asking for about the last 6mths when was she going to start school!

She did confess she was worried about making friends [awww] so hopefully she will chum up with someone today!

accessorizequeen · 07/09/2006 12:39

You need a description, even if just one word, otherwise link will be blank. Think I will be in tears when ds has to go to school 2 years off!

jabberwocky · 07/09/2006 18:09

loulou, you don't need a special blanket to swaddle, just use the burrito wrap method.

choccybickie · 07/09/2006 18:20

Hi how is everyone? So sorry i've been slack and not kept up with you all work has just been manic this summer! I've got some serious reading to do to catch up!
Anyone else feeling massive and ready to burst? Im so sick of people telling me I look far too big for 27 weeks i feel like screaming that my uterus is the correct size! I feel very uncomfortable and grumpy! x

Elibean · 07/09/2006 19:54

Weirdbird, congrats to you and your dd....sounds like the best possible sort of first day.

And on the subject of first days...mine starts nursery on Monday; I'm slightly surprised to find myself very anxious and not a little teary. She's had a p/t nanny for over a year, has been to a couple of morning playschools my friend runs during the holidays, so its not like its our first time apart. But....the start of a whole new phase, maybe??

Elibean · 07/09/2006 19:55

choccybiccie, feeling massive.....oh yes! You are definitely not alone. I can't believe I have another 12-13 weeks to go.

Elibean · 07/09/2006 20:00

New trend: posting three times

Knitting: the only time I've knitted since I was 17 (determined to knit a sweater for my then boyfriend, pulling on it every five seconds to make it longer quicker and pretending the holes were on purpose) was when I was pg with dd. I made her a teeny red sweater, then a massive and gorgeous cream blanket - impressed myself to high heaven.

This time around...one teeny stocking stitch cream blanket achieved so far...

lucy5 · 07/09/2006 20:11

Hi, i'm huge and grumpy too! Dh has man flu, I think I might have to kill him!

accessorizequeen · 07/09/2006 21:16

Ah, another man who always has flu. Whilst we have mere 'colds'. DP always demands chicken soup when ill as his mother used to make it. I suppose after 8 years I ought to have made it once

jabberwocky · 07/09/2006 21:24

Not so grumpy yet, but my zoloft probably has a lot to do with that But I have started tapering off of it and may be completely off in about 6 weeks, otherwise lo will have some seratonin addiction problems. Dh and I are very afraid of what happens next!

Redlorry75 · 07/09/2006 22:02

Hi there, thought I would add to the list of thoughs feeling massive!
I need new knickers, mine are cutting my legs off, new bra - before my boobs become lost forever and maternity clothes to see me through to Decmeber at work - either that or I get signed off.....hmmmmmm

Redlorry75 · 07/09/2006 22:10

Arrrgh!

I really want a soft boiled egg!

Elibean · 07/09/2006 22:27

I've had several over the past few weeks...not very soft, but definitely not hard either...

spinamum · 07/09/2006 22:28

I'm loving the cosy cocoons form further along the thread. They make babies look like glow worms! Might have to invest just for the AHH factor.(need a gnome hat with them of course)

I'm giggling away at all the dead pan murderous thoughts. glad I'm Mning in the bathroom(oh the joy of laptops) as DH would ask me again what was sooooo funny. Killing people while pg is a recognised from of insanity and I believe the jail term is reduced somewhat, but you'd prob have to give birth in prison or on remand and I'm thinking that unless we all get the Xmas shopping done this weekend that there'll be a lot of unhappy people come december(having said that we're planning to murder most of our relatives so that would reduce the pressure a bit.) Anyone else feeling a bit CRAZY?

PS I'm winning ebay left right and centre, That's all I need a method to spent money while sitting on the sofa(Sorry at a proper table with my neck in correct position( in case GP is spying)

lucy5 · 07/09/2006 22:33

Hehehehehehe!

accessorizequeen · 07/09/2006 22:52

I have to get a leopard one for the baby, just showed it to dp who seemed surprisingly underwhelmed. First time I've gone all gaga over the baby, I've not been interested in buying him anything yet. A baby body sock, the very height of cuteness - cosyplanet.co.uk sell them in the uk.
spina, get out of the bathroom fgs!!!

jabberwocky · 07/09/2006 23:13

Yesterday was the first comment of "So I guess you're due anytime now?" grrrrr, er, no, 3 more months to do

And I thought I was doing relatively well this time...

Redlorry75 · 08/09/2006 08:17

Did'nt have a good time on e-bay last night, not much sold - so have decided to out stuff on in bundles instead!

Have bought loads for Chirstmas though, all new pressies for the chldren etc!

Also new Studio cards book came - oh my, is'nt it easy to buy personalised stuff when you're doing it on the net - must curb spending or will spend maternity leave eating beens on toast - and DH hates beans!

jabberwocky · 08/09/2006 10:14

Well, I was very successful at buying on ebay last night I also found this ! I haven't ordered one yet, but I really think I am going to. We had lots and lots of problems with ds and nipple confusion last time I showed it to dh who said "Well, we didn't have any trouble with ds taking a bottle" er, NO, it's just that he started refusing the breast altogether and I expressed for the next 10 months!!! grrr......I sense a hormonal rage coming on...
