think i matched you on moaning wb, and you've got far more to moan about!! still, buying an ironing board must have cheered you right up! dp is excited coz we bought station wagon at weekend so now we can go to tip every sunday. wow, the high life. wld much rather be not winning grobags on ebay, bad luck spina! reminds me i don't have any 0-6 grobags as I stupidly sold them on ebay when ds grew out of them swearing I was having no more children. v.tempted to buy a newborn one as otherwise they have to be certain weight or something don't they? DS couldn't go in one until 9 weeks when he finally reached 10 pounds. I love grobags, they are the business. Tell me next time you're bidding otherwise I might be in competition with you!

spinamum · 05/09/2006 22:10

good plan. We should all coordinate our ebay shopping.

Today I'll mostly be buying........

Elibean · 05/09/2006 22:11

Spinamum will have to try vanishing dd under bump tomorrow...

...and I would probably try (deadpan and innocent, of course) 'is what twins?'

I saw a lady at the hospital today who had the biggest sticky out bump, but was really skinny everywhere else. I'm ashamed to say I stared in fascination and possibly a little ...

Elibean · 05/09/2006 22:12

Since we're posting twice today:

I'm going to confess to being an E-bay virgin. But reading all your posts, am tempted...

spinamum · 05/09/2006 22:13

....the grobag is mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry

LOL at "is what twins?" HeHeHe!

spinamum · 05/09/2006 22:15

(now this second messaging is becoming addictive)

not sure what I'm supposed to do now that I'm won an auction smoke a ciggie or is that something else?

weirdbird · 05/09/2006 22:19

I am an ebay addict

Am currently looking at Garden Furniture to spend DH's bonus on as we have finished renovating the Garden, but have no furniture to put in it..

Havn't looked at baby stuff on ebay, am mainly finishing off my Xmas shopping

Am going to hit all the NNS first as then you don't have to pay the postage!

If you are a NCT member volunteer to help at your local one and then you get to preview and grab all the bargains, thats my plan anyway

weirdbird · 05/09/2006 22:21

he he 2nd post

Don't mention smoking PLEASE

Gave up the day after I found out I was Pg, but still really want to smoke.

spinamum · 05/09/2006 22:26

weirdbird · 05/09/2006 22:28

Spinamum you are taking this posting 2 messages, a little bit too seriously

weirdbird · 05/09/2006 22:35

My plan is to have Xmas wrapped up and Xmas Cards written by about end of October.

Did I mention I am wrapping everything as I buy it as well...

Did I also mention the part where I am quite clearly gaga

spinamum · 05/09/2006 23:23

respect WB!

will try not to hit send twice this time.

lucy5 · 06/09/2006 09:01

Calmriver · 06/09/2006 09:02

Agree, need to get all shopping done by end Oct. Told DH on Monday and he said he will do all the shopping for christmas and that I mustn't worry! WORRY?? Im not worried, I want too!!!

Does anyone want to do flylady with me? It's better when you can have a laugh with someone!!!

OP posts:
lucy5 · 06/09/2006 09:02

What is flylady?

Loulou000 · 06/09/2006 10:14

Totally makes sense what you say about being a SAHM, Devongirl. I think myself very lucky that I will be able to stay at home if I want to. Not sure I will be able to stay sane, though - I might be longing for the office after a month! I really sympathise with those of you who are self employed or in tiny companies. Must be really hard.

Ha ha I can't see bump or feet over boobies either. As to sweating, yes, am quite overheated generally and can't bear to go anywhere that's a bit stuffy.

Hmm, might have to have a pootle around ebay this morning.

Can a newborn baby go in a grobag straight away?

weirdbird · 06/09/2006 11:20

Calmriver - I fly on and off, but need to get back in the habit after the last 6 weeks of doing nothing, so would be quite happy to join you!

spinamum · 06/09/2006 12:33

loulou-not actually sure if newbies can go straight to grow bag-we didn't use one for a while with DS1(but was converted by RL pals when he was a few months old) I think it's size-of-bub-dependent. i'm planning to swaddle for the first few weeks anyway(if I can remember how to do it or find a miracle blanket on ebay(Today I'll mostly be looking at......)

This sweating thing is quite unpleasant at mo. Sorry TMI,but it's like stress sweating so it's a bit more 'fragrant'. my usual deo dosn't seem to be as effective.

jabberwocky · 06/09/2006 12:34

I tried flylady for a while, but got really overwhelmed with all the emails! Plus, I'm just kind of a cluttery person

jabberwocky · 06/09/2006 12:36

lucy, flylady is a website to help you organize your cleaning.

spinamum - sorry to hear you are a fellow sweater, but also glad I'm not alone!

I won a top and a black velvet outfit on ebay last night Good tip about the miracle blanket. I need to put that on my favorite searches list.

accessorizequeen · 06/09/2006 13:09

Ooh, didn't realise sweating was down to being pg, v.fragrant yesterday had to have evening bath. What a mine of information this place is
can't believe we're now egging each other on to buy more stuff, and christmas pressies in Sept! But no way am I leaving dp to do it, I could never hold my head up again.
Checked grobag website & it said babies have to be 7lbs & their heads should not fit through the hole. I also thought I'd do swaddling again, a friend gave me a stretchy blanket last time which worked well, but only till he was about 14 weeks. Helped with colic a lot. Not to encourage more spending, but I also liked the idea of a cozy coccoon , so sweet!

Loulou000 · 06/09/2006 14:34

Thanks for the info re grobags. Do you need a special blanket to swaddle? And do you swaddle instead of having sheets / blankets on the bed?

ARGH this is one of those moments where I remember I know nothing, nothing at all, about babies.
