LOL amy83

I'm nowhere near that bad! There are certain brands I would not wear or put DC in, but I probably wouldn't do designer as I'm not living the Real Housewives life yet. I have John Lewis taste, but I like to pay Co-Op prices.

weeonion · 13/05/2014 22:43

brandsnob Grin = so you're not like my SIL who refuses to dress her kids in anything that is not donna karan, ralph lauren or baby luis vutton?? she spent 400 getting a custom made ski suit for her 2 month old for their recent ski-ing trip.......

BrandSnob · 13/05/2014 22:52

Weeonion, even if I could afford it I wouldn't do it out of principle as they'll probably vomit or poo all over it and grow out of it in the blink of an eye

weeonion · 13/05/2014 23:00

brandsnob Grin Indeed - babies do not care what label they are dressed in - its all posseted and pooed on anyone with some wee thrown in for good measure.. Smile

Venus2 · 13/05/2014 23:17

Hi BrandSnob
Posy, I'm glad that you are getting some colour back. Must be all the positive vibes being sent from your MN buddies. Hope you can go home soon.
Weeonion, how do you have time to read the May thread? This thread moves at lightning speed and the FB group is building momentum too.

amy83firsttimer · 13/05/2014 23:19

I like to eat waitrose food at Aldi prices! So I cook from scratch. Currently wondering what's the least I can get away with spending on a dress for a wedding on 5th July. No idea how big bump'll be so it'll have to be last minute panic and I hate shopping especially in real life with changing rooms and everything. Anyway, we digress..

weeonion · 13/05/2014 23:24

amyrose - i have popped into the may thread just to see birth stories....
I'm not joining the facebook group so don't have to juggle and remember that too.. i keep MN and FB seperate!

Here's a new thread for us folks - we only have space for a few more messages on this one..

Amy I got a lovely stretchy dress that would fit not pregnant to full term I reckon, from my local market last year, it's black with white designs on it, I would wear it to a wedding as it's floor length and really flattering. I think I paid about £10. So Yeh I recommend markets, you can haggle too!

Hey all. First post on here. Due date is 13/11 :)

RandomInternetStranger · 14/05/2014 01:48

Look on Gumtree & eBay & at car boots. I've got a few bargains - in particular I've picked up a few seraphine item for on average £1 each! Be warned seraphine come up huge! I was an 8, am a 12 in non maternity clothes now, but a size one is more than big enough, too big actually!

BrandSnob · 14/05/2014 07:29

Welcome Sapphire! Another due date buddy Grin.
See you on the new thread

Venus2 · 14/05/2014 08:31

Welcome Sapphire!
Following on from our discussion the other day, I emailed my mum this morning telling her that she can come and stay with us from 2 weeks after I get home from hospital. I know she will be sad to miss the birth (hence emailing her means I don't have to hear her cry) but I just want that bonding time with the baby and DH first.

Tigsy · 14/05/2014 12:28

Venus that can't have been easy but if think you did the right thing!

Feeling proud of myself- so far today I've eaten a yogurt and some fruit. This is the healthiest I've been in months! Hoping it can continue and I can fight off the temptation to open some chocolate for a few more hours at least!!
