Morning all

Welcome mummymelling.

I managed a fried breakfast which I really enjoyed and also NOT to tell my friends I am pregnant. Nobody asked which was good.

Hi everyone. I am working from home today and magaged alo to have a real breakfast, albeit at 11 o'clock. There is however just no way I can ever eat anything before going to work (nothing to do with pg, have always been like that). I will have to try taking mid-morning snacks with me, I suppose.

Is it just me or does anyone else have the mad must have mashed potato thing in the early weeks?? Whole family think i'm mad, that and custard. Can't face fried breakfast though, but always been like that, more crunchy nuts really

hey soon to be tubby tummy ladies.... mashed potato!! staple diet on my last pg lol with the odd bit of corned beef and pickle mmmmmmm!!!
i can so go with the sicky sore boobie bit at the mo, and lots of weeing and weird stretchy crampy pains, and im only 4 wks today!!! actually today is my day28 lol, thought these symptoms all start wk 6-7??? any way not complaining just makes me feel preg xx

the achy boobies, the constant weeing, the hungry-but-can't-eat-a-thing thing, it all makes me feel pregnant, and that's great. i remember this feeling last time as well. it is all so exciting but pretty soon all of the symtoms are going to lose their charm.
anyone else super thirsty? it seems that no matter how much water i drink i need more. sure that adds to the weeing thing. great.
aprilmeadow, you are probably so sick of hearing this, but are you sure of your dates? it seems that you are about a month ahead of all of us with symptoms and body changes. i hope you don't find out you are due in april and have to leave our group!
should we start a stats thread? (maybe someone already did, i'll check) also, anyone interested in doing a "here's a little about me" questionaire thing? i just got email with one and it might be fun.

Hi all, yeah the stats thread sounds good, dont know how to do that, this is all gobbledygook to me! is that so we can all share stuff about us and all that sort of thing? I'm not completely convinced of my dates cos my very obvious positive came up before i was expecting it, however i tested negative last month so what's that all about, Mother Nature has alot to answer for.
I feel nauseous constantly which is very inconvenient, rather just throw up and get it over with!! maybe not i always get symptoms straight away which makes it a long first few months.

Hi, I did feel crap with ds, but this is not funny! I have felt sick on and off for 3 weeks, even before i knew i was pg i felt sick. I am certain i havent got my dates wrong as i got a neg last month, and also 3 negs in the lead up to my bfp. People are saying that maybe i am having a girl this time as i feel different this time, but i guess i wont know until xmas when we will hopefully find out the sex. Although i guess it could be TWINS!!! oh i so hope its not

I'm not really feeling sick but am rather worried as have had upset tummy and (sorry if tmi) rather a lot of ...ahem...flatulence for past two days. I thought pg was supposed to make you constipated?! Boobs are getting sore and I welcome this as I see it as a positive sign!

Thats good, I'll go and add myself in a minute.

At work today but just had toast at my desk as I couldn't face breakfast at home. Was retching for the first time today and DD1 saw me - the look of horror on her face as if to say omg here we go again!! Was really very sick in the last pregnancy earlier this year but not hardly at all with the two DDs.

Hey everyone, I'm also in the May 2007 club, 6 weeks today, due 2nd May. Had a m/c back in June, was really pleased to concieve again so quickly. He/she will be my first, dp's 3rd. Seem to be going through the same as the rest of you, sore boobs, weeing loads, cant sleep, and morning noon and night sickness. Was relived to read others are suffering with weird little crampy type things, obviously with m/c I am extra cautious... hoping that its just my uterus (sp) stretching. Have my first scan next thursday, hoping that they will be able to see/hear heart and that everything will be ok. Hope to keep in touch with you all for the next 34 ish weeks.... xxx

I am supposed to be going on my hols today for a week, but after a visit to the doctors yesterday doesnt look like i will be fit to go

Dh went down there as he had been feeling poorly for about a week and when he said that i wasnt feeling to good either - but we had just put that down to morning sickness - they said i should go down and get myself checked out. They booked me in with the nurse when i should have seen a doctor and now i have to go back this morning to see the doc. I so hope that i can travel as i have been looking forward to this holiday for ages.

If they could just give me something to get rid of this permenant sick feeling i have had for the last 3 days then that would be great.

Also add on top of that the fact that the airline we were supposed to be flying out on went bust yesterday! And our new flight is at 11pm and lands in Tenerife at 3am!!!! My little boy will be a nightmare!

Sorry just had to get all that off my chest!

Hope you are all feeling well x

Hi all, i have a real dilemma. My 20 yr old niece gave birth to her stillborn daughter 6 weeks ago, she was due this week and her placenta developed a clot. Beautiful little girl, who i had the privalage of seeing enter the world, life is a b sometimes. Problem is, she knew we wre trying for our baby but now i'm pregnant, i don't know how to tell her. We are very close, she not very close to her mum, my sister, but i just know she will be devastated.
We think we should wait till after all our tests , make sure everything ok, but we visiting her up north soon and i know it's gonna be hard to look her in the eye. It's so unfair

My heartfelt sympathy to both you and your niece. I really dont know what to suggest here.. I think as her aunt you are probably best placed to make a decision. I'm sure she will be pleased for you, as you said you are very close, but will still be grieving for her loss. I know for weeks after my m/c I couldnt bear to look at a pregnant woman or baby. Time is a great healer though and I am sure her time will come, although at the moment its little consolation. Perhaps wait until things have calmed down a bit, maybe after your scan, although if you are visting her soon there might be a time when you feel it is right to tell her. I'm sure she will be pleased for you. Sorry I cant be of any more help.

Oh dear aprilmeadow - I hope you get on your hols and have a really good time after all the probs.

liahgen - its very difficult but if you are visiting I think she would probably like to be told. If you wait for tests etc and all is ok and then you tell her she might wonder why you didn't tell her before.

I am feeling a little better today altho sicky feeling hanging around, not as bad as yesterday.

I had horrific morning sickeness last time up until the day before the scan and that is one of the reasons we thought all was well. As it was a missed mc then the hormones were working well, its just the baby that wasn't! This time I will not rest until that 12/13 week scan.

I know what you mean Sky, I will most certainly not relax at all until after at least a few more weeks (babis died at about 6-7 weeks before, so that is a defibite stage I need to get through. Very scared).

April, what a sad story. A similar thing happened to my mother, my brother was stillborn because of a placental problem. I was 16 at the time and it was terrible for the whole family. But in those days (1970's) it was just sort of ignored and never spoken of again, which is also very sad.
