i just popped in to say hello to Nicola63 and to chime in about a few things.
my husband calls me bloodhound even when i am not pregnant. now that i am pregnant i can smell everything. the peeing in the middle of the night thing is already getting old. i don't remember it starting this early last time.
and about the drinking thing, normally i am the girl who always make sure that your glass is full of wine or that you have a fresh beer. we tend to drink with friends a lot on the weekends. our oldest friends are here on holiday and i knew i would have to tell them because as soon they walked in the door beer and wine were flowing.
it is beginning to sink in a bit more. we're pregnant, ladies. crazy!

Hi can I join this club too??

I found out I was pregnant last night, bit of a shock as I well just didnt expect it.

I'm not sure of my dates as my period has been really erratic over the past year but I'm sure I had my last period in early august. I've took it as the first so I'm due on the eighth of may although could change to a slightly later date

I've got a ds6 and a dd4 and this is my first child with my dp.

congrats to all of you!

Hello everyone, I am coming to join you too. I have just got my bfp and likesome others it was a bit of a shock. We had decided to ttc no.2 and I only came off the pill 4 1/2 weeks ago .Anyhow, I tested this morning and got a bfp so I think I am due on 12th May. I am a little cautious as i have no real symptoms to speak of. I feel a little achy in my stomach and back but that is all. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

hi abbylou and sheepgomeep. congratulations! it is great to see our thread growing.
i had my scan yesterday and little bean is in the right place! she/he is hanging out in my uterus and not in my tube as was expected. my shoulder pain must be unrelated, thank goodness. i got a bit worried for a minute that i might have to unjoin the may club to join the april club because my doctor said my due date is april 27th, but then she corrected herself and said it is may 2nd so here i shall stay.

i have just found out I'm pregnant and thought I would be starting thsi thread, can't believe there are so many messages already.

Due May 7th I suppose although don't know how to adjust if your cycle isn't regular.

Seems like a massive gap this time. Eldest are only a year apart, periods return straight away despite exclusive breastfeeding, this time youngest will be 2 years and 2 months when this one is born, seems like a really big age gap! At least I won't need a triple buggy will I?

Congratulations everyone else.

I am pregnant by awful husband I thought I'd escaped from but love being a mum and being pregnant so am happy.

Welcome Sheepgomeep, Abbylou and CKMum.

Jess so glas that your scan went well. We have the same due date .

Feeling particularly knackered today, but i only have myself to blame so i guess i cant moan too much. I went out with5 of my girlie friends and didnt get home til 01.50am as we decided to hit the nightclub!!! Now having never been in there sober it was rather interesting. Not that i go often - dont think i have been for about 18mths-2yrs. The best bit was our local club has a CHEESEY MUSIC room playing loads of my favourite songs. Backstreet Boys, 5ive, Wham and PJ & Duncan .

Going to bath ds and put him to bed, clean the kitchen and probably head to bed myself.

hi thanks for the welcomes!

When do I book in for the first midwife appointment. I know this is my third pregnancy but it's with a new dp and my dd is now four! I just wondered if things have changed these days? Also am rhesus neg which could cause me problems. Also have to tell work at some point.

Also am scared to tell work (I work in a well known supermarket) a week before I found out I managed to get my shifts changed because of lack of childcare and the shifts clashing with dp's night shift job. I had to kick up a right fuss about it before they would change it and a couple of other people had to cover me as I've moved on to a different department (checkouts) for 2 of my shifts now. I do feel bad about this though. I'm scared that work will think I've done it on purpose but I didn't know I was pg. I would wait a while before saying anything which would be fine except for 1 thing I do 9 hours all day on a sunday on Beers wines and spirits, lots of heavy lifting and pulling cages out onto shopfloor.
I don't know what to do really

anyway I'm feeling fine, just keep need ing the loo!! dp thinks its very funny.

hope you ladies are all ok and i'm glad your scan went ok jessinwa

You have your booking in appt with teh mw between 6-8weeks.

If i were you i would speak to your HR deptartment because you shouldnt be lifting anything heavy. I am sure you are not the first person to have moved shifts and then found out you were pg.

I have told my bosses, but only because i was looking a little rounder and didnt think i could keep it hidden for long. As it turned out 2 of my colleagues had guessed so wasnt going to keep it quiet for long anyway.

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcomes! I still feel a bit in shcok about all this to be honest. Obviously I knew it could happen straight away but I didn't even have a period after the pill so I didn't really have a clue when I was ovulating. My sister gets marries on June 1st next year so I really hope this baby is not late, hopefully it will be three weeks early like my ds. We haven't told anybody else yet and I'm going to try and be good this time and not tell everyone really early.

Jess, glad your scan went well. I think I will need a dating scan as I'm not really altogether sure of my dates.

Good morning all.

Welcome abbylooo, sheepgomeep and ckmum.

Good news on scan jessinwa. I had a pain on Friday/Saturday so thought I might go to GP today and try and get an early scan but its gone now so think I'll wait.

Feeling tired today as been out a lot over the weekend. DDs not back from their hols with their dad until tonight so got a catching up day.

sheepgomeep. I am pg to a new partner too and they treat you as a new mum, at least they did for me when I was pg earlier this year (which ended in a mc).

Hi liahgen and welcome.

Yesterday and today I felt a bit yukky after breakfast - hopefully not morning sickness yet - its far too early! (Only 6 weeks tomorrow!)

Girls gone back to school today so a whole new routine again after a lovely slovenly one over the hols.

Nicola63 · 05/09/2006 11:31

I am also feeling a little sick, but hungry at the same time, which is difficult! I have never been one to eat anything at breakfast time, but I should probably start trying to do so now, I suppose.

I am going for breakfast with school mums tomorrow and don't know what i'll eat. Think I'll say I'm only having toast as I'm on a diet!!

They are really good friends though so might not buy it! DP says if anyone asks outright I can probably tell them rather than lie. Might have to give them a few pointers!

Morning all, ahhh, collective sigh of quiet houses now our big kids gone back to school. I was even organised enough this morning to wash dishes before school run, mind you, biggest kid, 11 yrs, took herself off to school so that helped. Funny we moan about them, then miss em when they not about.
I feel for you girls that are feeling rough already, i generally feel bad for about 5 months, not kicked in yet, maybe mother nature will be kind to me this time.
Hopefully dreamydowler, you won't have to wait too much longer, My 1st 2 were well late, last 2 induced early due to obstetric cholastasis. The end is in sight, keep us informed. Anyone of you girls near Kent? What family you all got so far??
