I will be about 9 weeks when I get my booking in. Tonight I slept for 3 hours wen I got home from Glasgow.

threeicklepickles · 23/04/2014 23:32

Drewswife where did you go for your bra fitting? I've only got one that fits atm, and have just dragged my old ones out of the attic but they're far too big.
Would love to stay in wired for as long as possible.

Shanels · 24/04/2014 00:03

ladylel don't worry about meds, I've been on 2 sets of antibiotics since finding out I'm pregnant and on full use of inhalers. Won't do any harm to baby.

sasseh snap! My birthday is 3rd Jan but I hate it... Prexmas soubds much better though.

paranoidcg glad you got back okay. My breasts are 34dd and I wear tshirt bras from triumph which are comfy- at the mo anyway.

I had a scan last Tuesday as I'm spotting quite a bit and although I was just 6 weeks we saw a gorgeous heart beat. However, the spotting hasn't stopped and the GP has told me to sit as much as poss- no housework, no physical activity, no exercise etc until 12 week scan. I'm going to work but I just try and move very little - well as much as I can. I would recommend everyone to just take it easy- don't run for that train, walk; don't pick up those boxes, ask for help. Take care all. X

bighairyleggedspider we also had given up trying a couple of years ago and like you I was totally shocked and confused. Just promoted, booked a US fly drive for Sept etc etc but you know what once you start digesting it a bit, you'll or we'll realise what really matters in life and the other things can just wait. When I was doing my masters a few years ago, my friend on the course found out she was pregnant and they let her defer. She went back and finished it as soon as baby was born. Of course it was stressful at first but she got there in the end. We will all hopefully somehow manage. P.s. 37 years old too! Nice to meet you!

Is anyone else finding that their bladder is senstive to the hormones and feels really irritated even when half full?

I was worried at first that it was an infection but it feels just like it does when I've had caffeine and there's no discomfort as soon as it's empty. I drink quite a lot of water, so it's not concentrated. Hope it will settle down soon as it gets used to the hormones.

Three I went to bravissimo. Only ever had good from there. It was fab. Took an hour and she was really good with me. Tried lots on as I was just so stressed out.

When I was last pregnant 18 years ago wired bras were a no no. I burst into tears when she said I could get wired. Grin

Hope all is well whatsonemore :)

PunkyPod · 24/04/2014 07:57

Sorry I've been gone for a few days. The nausea is awful and makes me not want to look at the computer much Hmm Yesterday I developed a really sore tummy. Kinda like stinging all over. I thought it might be something I ate because my stomach felt really jumbled up. Felt so sick I took a bowl to bed with me. This morning it's still painful but not as bad as last night. Any ideas...? Me and DH have eaten the same food and he's fine.

PunkyPod · 24/04/2014 07:59

Whatsonemore I hope today goes really well for you and you see your little bean exactly where it should be Thanks

PunkyPod · 24/04/2014 08:09

I've had a google and it suggests perhaps the muscles stretching etc. tbh I'd be surprised, this is DC2 and I don't think my muscles have recovered from the first time!! I just really hope the little bean is doing ok in there despite the dodgy tummy I'm feeling.

DrewsWife · 24/04/2014 08:16

Prayers sent whatsonemore. I hope all is good with the tests xx

Martie1 · 24/04/2014 09:38

whatsonemore my thoughts are with you today xx i really hope you get some confirmation as to what is going on.

Im now 7+2 and feeling nauseous at various times of the day for no particular reason. Ive just eaten my breakfast about an hour ago but I feel sick.

Everything is irritating me at the moment. I don't want to watch tv, i don't want to go for a walk, i don't want to talk to people, i don't want to be on my laptop(but have to for work), i don't want to do any housework, i don't want to use my phone and cooking is a real chore. I wish I could take my brain out and give it a good wash. how random. can someone confirm that the second trimester is better.

Plus i'm not patiently waiting for my 12 week scan appointment!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/04/2014 10:23

Was really naughty this morning and did a FMU pregnancy test and it was really strong after only a few moments so I'm feeling more positive today :) and want to vom my marmite on toast up, yay! Whoever thought nausea would make me so happy? Haha. I'm persevering with the Fybogel despite it being orange-flavoured frog spawn, bleurgh!
How is everyone else this morning?
Whatsonemore, wish I was at home watching Peppa Pig ;) thinking of you

ffallada · 24/04/2014 10:46

Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is doing ok. Just wanted to say a big thank you for your supportive messages. Its really really appreciated. I didn't realise how alone I was feeling in this pre 12 week bubble when you cant speak to anyone and have no idea whats going on. Hubby is away on work thingy at the mo so I cant even bother him.
I didn't go to the GP in the end preferring to wait to speak to the EPU at my local hospital. Called them, left details with the auxiliary who answered the phone who promised a midwife would call me back later. She did - 5 hours later! and I missed the call! Rubbish. She left a number for me to call back on, when I tried (many times) no one answered. Even more rubbish. She said someone would call back today. No calls.

The one comfort I have is that, in my experience, the NHS is really great when there is an emergency and really really crap when there isn't. I take the lack of interest from them as a good sign.

My thoughts are with you onemore
