Treaclepie19 · 07/05/2014 20:49

Thanks ladies :)
I just want to be happy and excited but all I'm feeling today is nervous and down.

Hey Ho. Onwards and upwards!

KateJ28 · 07/05/2014 21:38

Thinking of you treacle and really hope next weeks scan goes well :)

natasha let us know how you get on too, really hope it's all okay :-)

Treaclepie19 · 07/05/2014 21:39

Thanks kate :)

KateJ28 · 07/05/2014 21:47

By the way peace it sounds like you've had my kind of day! TV and crisps, what bliss! Much better than being squished on to a packed tube -yuk. Think I may tell my boss soonish then I can hopefully work from home more or at least avoid rush hr travelling. Waiting for the pay review to be agreed though - by end of May latest, but hopefully in next wk or two. I'd like to think my pg wouldn't affect it, but you never know, so best to hold off I think.

whatsonemore I think it was me who said about it being nice to be away from work but sounds like you have lots more on your hands with two littleones!!!

All gd here otherwise - mild nausea but no vomming. Just exhausted!! Hope you're all having nice evenings.

Abouttime · 07/05/2014 21:54

I'm back ladies :) was on the first thread, had some spotting so had an early scan at 6 weeks which showed a large gestational sac but no baby. Had a follow up scan last Monday & there was a baby!! Midwife had said she didn't expect to see me for the second scan as she was positive it was a blighted ovum as the sac was large.
How wrong she was!!

Anyway I'm now 9 weeks, have just got back from a 5 day hen holiday in Benidorm & I'm going to Fuerteventura on Friday for 10 days.

Am sad I can't drink sangria but happy I'm having a baby.

Treacle - take note!! I only posted cos of you. Xxxx

Great news abouttime x

Martie1 · 07/05/2014 23:51

Fantastic news abouttime!!

ChineseFireball · 08/05/2014 05:42

That's brilliant news abouttime Smile

Keeping fingers crossed for everyone who needs it (sorry on phone and can't scan back to check).

DS is not doing sleeping at the moment. He's waking about 4 times during the night and waking up for the day at about 6. He's also recently started faffing about after he's had his story and keeps getting out of his bed. Didn't go to sleep until about 8.50 last night. DH is getting up with him in the night (thank you DH!) but it's starting to get a bit tiresome. He's (DS) got a snotty nose and a nasty sounding cough, poor little mite, so maybe that's what's waking him.

6+5 and feeling nauseous all the time Sad

natashaarr · 08/05/2014 06:42

Just an update - I went into hospital last night and they took my blood pressure (which was high), my temp and my bloods. They don't have a appointment until Friday otherwise it was next week! So that'll have to do and I'll just have to try and think positive. They won't ring me with my blood results unless there's something wrong, otherwise they will go through the results at the scan. Fingers crossed! Thanks everyone for your good lucks and all the support :) I hope everything goes ok for you treacle

Treaclepie19 · 08/05/2014 07:03

Thank you abouttime, that's brilliant to hear! :)

Thank natashaarr, hope all goes well for you :)

threeicklepickles · 08/05/2014 07:50

Great news abouttime, keeping fingers crossed for you natashaarr and treacle

Anybody else utterly exhausted? From the moment I wake til I go to bed all I want to do is sleep. Amazing how you forget what it's like (this is dc3).

Feeling v nauseous, but not yet been sick, tis a good thing in a way, but the expectation/anticipation of waiting for it to happen is not a good thing. Got no idea how we're going to keep stum for another 5 weeks, I've put on half a stone already.

Help I need to either suck it in or get some looser tops! I feel like it's so obvisously that my tummy is starting to stick out lol and working full time in an office isn't helping! Feel like everyone is looking at 'it'!!! Lol also the fact that after 4 days off I know need to undo my trouser button after lunch rather than when I leave for the day!!! I suppose quite boxy loose tops are 'fashionable' at the mo so perhaps I could get away with it or are people going to wonder why I've gone from tight to loose tops?!?! Oh the dilemmas! Lol anyone else having same issues???

Abouttime what wonderful news!! I bet it's been a tough old time waiting but now you can breath a sigh of relief and start worrying about something else !!! Lol

Rejjie · 08/05/2014 08:49

Fantastic news Abouttime, I'm so pleased for you.

EmilyPinkOrBlue Couldn't you just pretend it's your new summer style. Of course that only works if we have a bloody summer. Constant rain where I live!

KateJ28 · 08/05/2014 09:07

Great news abouttime and I hope your scan tomorrow goes well natasha...

Yes to feeling completely exhausted, and emotional too - just practically burst into tears because I missed the bus! (And there was another one in 2 minutes!).

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 08/05/2014 09:12

Back to work today, yawn.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 08/05/2014 09:17

Whoever mentioned about being tired, drained, exhausted, no energy etc I keep saying to my other half I'm sure I had more get up and go before I got pg like I worry that I've just got lazy and that it's not the pg making me tired and surgically attached to the sofa lol we are renovating our new house that we moved into in July so I need to be on my game especially now we have a time pressure as I know nothing will get done when baby is here!!

SassehMonsta · 08/05/2014 10:10

Oh the tirednessss! Very jealous of dh, who slept almost all the way through from 8pm (when I was in the bath still) right until 8:30am this morning (when I'd been awake for 3 and a half hours!).

Weather is miserable, which isn't helping my mood. Hoping to go dancing this evening though, fingers crossed!!

Rediscovered my sweet tooth - hurrah! Bought chocolate and 2 cakes on the way to work this morning.. should keep me going!

*8+3, getting carried away here!

chillychicken · 08/05/2014 10:57

Ugh, I’ve been having some horrible, horrible dreams. All focussed around miscarriage Sad Stupidly, after a particularly nasty dream last night, I POAS this morning and the test line was lighter than the control line. First time that’s happened. I was hoping for reassurance and didn’t get it.

I still can’t seem to believe that everything will be ok. I keep saying “hopefully I’ll be having a baby in December”

Anyway, symptoms are all pretty much the same – still getting nausea, although it’s nowhere near as bad as it was at 6-7 weeks. Falling out of bra so need to get to a shop to buy some more. I’ve lost 3lbs since finding out I was pregnant so I’m looking a little less bloated and definitely have a hardening in my lower abdomen. Today I constantly need a wee and have pain in my abdomen when I go so I think my bladder is being squashed a fair bit.

I came down with a cold Tuesday night which isn’t great as I’m super busy at work and all I want to do is stay in bed. Still, I have no plans for the weekend and I don’t intend to move off the sofa.

Still waiting for a date for my 12 week scan.

Emily I had bloods taken at my booking appointment, I need to have bloods done at 12 week scan and then once more after that I think.

SassehMonsta · 08/05/2014 11:05

No! No more POAS ladies! :P "Hook effect" or something ;)

I am also at the "hopefully" stage chilly. Nausea dropped off a bit, but still there gently, and I have also lost 4lbs in 5 weeks (the most I have ever lost in the shortest of times!).

Quite nervous about the whole taking blood thing, don't think I have ever had bloods taken before that I can remember! Dislike needles big time :/ Taking husband to booking-in next week, so he can hold my hand and listen to my insane ramblings for that bit!

Struggling to concentrate on anything, hence why Im on mn at work... Oops. Boss doesn't seem to have appeared yet today.....!

My arm STILL hurts and is bruised from my blood test on Tuesday! It's going to be really hard for me if they want me to have another one :( I HATE it! The actual needle and taking of blood doesn't hurt but it just sends me into a complete panic! I think I must be really sensitive!

What are people's views on the Down's syndrome testing? I don't think I will have it, it's another blood test plus the worry of what if I am the 1 in 150 could it be me etc whatever 1 in number I am I think it will be added worry plus there are so many other horrible things that could be wrong with a child that it seems unfair to hone in on downs? I think I take the stance that I want this baby watever happens as that's my destiny etc if it did come back with a high risk of downs would I be able to abort - I don't think I could.

Emily is the Down Syndrome test offered to everyone or just those at most risk?
