Probably the wrong time to post this with healthy talk going on but I just had a Big Mac and chips and sprite and I feel human again! Lol not normally one for fizzy drinks or junk food until last few days!

CallingAllEngels · 02/05/2014 14:07

Oh emily now you're tempting me! I have already been to Maccyd's this week but would kill for some fries right now!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 02/05/2014 14:19

Calling the fries were amazing!!!!

Rejjie · 02/05/2014 14:29

EmilyPinkOrBlue I've not been sick once but have felt nauseous a lot, and often in the afternoon. From what I've read it's pretty common to not throw up.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 02/05/2014 14:38

Thank you to the ladies that have shared that they haven't been sick. Nice to know that I'm not abnormal! Well here's hoping! Lol

ChineseFireball · 02/05/2014 14:49

Hi everyone. I love reading all the chat but it's hard to post meaningfully on the app due to being unable to scroll back through the posts!

It looks as though my epic vomitfest was in fact a tummy bug. I'm sort of relieved because I certainly did not want to have nausea and vomiting like that for 8 weeks! Back to having that awful backwards dripping nose thing but also with forwards drips, iykwim! Still have some nausea and definitely need to be within striking distance of a toilet but I think I'm over the worst now. Phew.

Glad to hear about the positive scans and chuckling about dildo cam Grin Onwards and upwards, ladies...

5+6...

Cineraria · 02/05/2014 14:51

I can't understand why our bodies find junk food so appealing when we're in need of all the nutrients we can get.

I'm really finding all my normal food completely unappealing and just feeling too full up to eat most of the time but when DH suggested we'd better go to the chip shop after shopping tonight as I probably won't be awake enough to eat by the time we've cooked something, my taste buds really perked up.

I was so pleased to hit six weeks yesterday. It feels like reaching a small milestone.

ots · 02/05/2014 15:00

First time I've been sick today. Boo :( . DS and I have survived the day with countless episodes of Peppa Pig, chocolate and cuddles. Sometimes it has to be done.
DH is on his way home from work and is off now til next thurs so really looking forward to some lay ins while he gets up with DS :)
5+4 today.

Pepsiaddict · 02/05/2014 16:47

Nausea beginning to kick in today. Thought I was going to escape this time! Agree that the junk food craving is strange but there's nothing better than McDonalds for morning sickness. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

ImBrian · 02/05/2014 16:56

I'm 10 weeks today and I think the nausea has started to die off. Still crap first and last thing but the in the middle bit isn't as bad. Still get the dodgy belly but that's definitely happening less now as well and the boob pain has gone Grin
On the other hand though my belly is huge!!! People who don't know are guessing as I have a bump!

DrewsWife · 02/05/2014 17:45

Gutted out my bedroom. Massive black bags of clothes. No point keeping em now eh?? Lots to wash and sort out. Tomorrow I'm off to Carlisle. Sunday is church and Thursday I'm off to Malta!!!

Yey! Made it!

Got home,.had energy spurt, tidied.and hoovered bedroom, changed bedding. Now laying down with both cats cuddled up to me. Life is sweet! I really do feel less sick today. Switched to seperate folic acid and vit d instead of pregnacare two days ago. Going to switch back tomorrow to see whether.it makes a difference...

whatsonemore. I'm doing the healthy eating thing (mostly, yesterday's sausage sandwich aside). lots of salad and fruit. No processed meat etc. My weight is going up a little but I'm trying to keep the gain under control whilst eating healthier. Not beating myself up if I have the odd shit thing though.

Jealous of all those going.on holiday

Hey all, I'm dropping by from the November thread to share this link that I was sent - it's of no use to me now because nausea is wearing off but it might be good to you! I wish I'd had these six weeks ago - they're just sea bands but PRETTY.

Just had to buy a few more bras as mine are getting too small. My belly has got bigger already! I think I'm going to be one of them people who show really early! I'm dreading all of the questions :(

6+3

Vicky5910 · 02/05/2014 20:10

I second (or third or fourth) the vote for mcd's chips, it's the salt I think, because we pee so much we need to replace the fluid and salts lost.
My symptoms have me guessing all the time, i have no idea what's coming next, the last few days I've been really craving yoghurts. Which is harsh. I'm lactose intolerant...!

DrewsWife · 02/05/2014 20:30

Dropped hubby at work. Picked up hamper from my work. Came home. Went to bed... Lol. I see a theme here. I am beyond tired.

Well I got a mug, apron, thermometer an entire duck all 1.7kg. A pair of duck Breast and duck legs.

Hubby was beyond excited. I boaked. Lol. I have stuck em in fridge and will cook them on Monday for him and a friend.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 02/05/2014 21:18

I'm loving salt atm too. Maybe it is about electrolytes, hmm.
Working all day tomorrow and want to cry thinking about it. I'm a misery, aren't I?!

threeicklepickles · 02/05/2014 21:27

I can't get enough salt either peace and Vicky, crisps, crisps and more crisps. Soooo not healthy but keeps the nausea at bay.

All I seem to be doing is burping. Anyone else? Glamourous eh!

I had a bit of energy earlier, so thought I'd make the most of it by making some bread...it still hasn't risen. Bang goes my early night. D'oh. (Or should that be dough...)

Treaclepie19 · 02/05/2014 22:03

All this talk of salt made me really want crisps! DH is off to make me some! :D

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 02/05/2014 22:20

Ok that's it! The Poo Fairy better come tonight or I'm going to make an official complaint to the Gods of Pregnancy. And possibly see a Doctor. Luckily my surgery is open tomorrow, so if I dont wake up, stretch and evacuate at least a 6lber I'm going to demand the finger. Painful and embarrassing yes, but this hurts. Envy

In other news, has anyone else got really restless legs at night?!?

ReadyForDinner · 02/05/2014 22:52

Hellooo! Can I join you! Just discovered today I am 5 weeks pg, edd is NYE! This was a big surprise! We have a wonderful 7mo daughter and definitely wanted to do it all again just wasn't expecting it to be doing it quite yet but the more I think about it the more excited I get. Though now entering the world of pregnancy related anxiety so keeping feet on the ground, early days and all that. We are off on holiday tomorrow with my parents so not much chance of keeping it to ourselves either as I reckon they may notice if I don't have a drink all holiday.
Wanted to ask I am still bfing my daughter and have none of the sore boob feeling which alerted me to being pg before. Anyone else still bfing or have any experience?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 02/05/2014 22:59

Bighairy was it you allergic to stoned fruits? I found a combo of Fybogel, tons of fluid, dried apricots and dates helped me really quickly. Broccoli is very good for fibre so you might try that with some Fybogel and lots of water. Good luck! Smile

natashaarr · 02/05/2014 23:19

Three Ickle I keep burping too! I thought it was just where I'm trying to drink too much to shift these headaches!

Bighairy I do just before I go to sleep and I have to keep moving them! I had it before but now I get it EVERY night, I just need sleep!!!!! :(
