Hi dinner :). Welcome to the group Grin

littlegreengloworm · 02/05/2014 23:59

Just shy off nine weeks and had to trousers with elastic Blush I'm mortified to admit my trousers ripped at work (luckily at lunch) was in town and had a long top on so I got away with it and picked up a couple of stretchy waist trousers

It's not bump but had a lot of nausea and ate lot more carbs than usual.
Also has been on a strict diet so my body must be telling me to eat better.
Was the same on last pregancy (showed early)

Shanels · 03/05/2014 03:47

fallada happy news- congrats! I've just been signed off work cos I'm brown spotting and getting quite a bit if discharge daily. I'm glad it might still all be okay. P.s. I wouldn't take tablets unless really ill.

Does anyone know where our pack leader paranoidcoventgarden is?

I regret complaining about not having MS... It has kicked in :(
Yesterday, I experienced floaters for the first time and am now a bit concerned about my eye which has been feeling funny all week. I feel a bit broken actually- bad skin, no appetite, have lost so much weight I'm looking sickly, etc etc. I'm so sorry for moaning.

I also crave salt like everyone else.... And can only seem to enjoy chips!

Love to all from Sleepless in London

ChineseFireball · 03/05/2014 06:39

Natasharr apparently tonic water is good for restless legs - something to do with the quinine (?). I got them at about week 11 last time. Infuuuuuuriating!

Still horribly nauseous. I've got a bit of a headache this morning as well. Have had a tummy bug (thanks, DS) and I think I could be a bit dehydrated.

6 weeks Smile

ChineseFireball · 03/05/2014 06:42

Shanels I'm sorry you're having a crummy time. Don't worry about moaning here though. Surely that's the point of the group?! Take it easy - it's a nice long weekend Smile

Ffallada great to see you back with good news

mythical · 03/05/2014 07:26

Hello! Marking place again. This thread is a lot quicker than my previous EDD group! And I'm terrible at catching up. If anyone decides to make a Facebook group I'd definitely be up for that x

Bobbi1234 · 03/05/2014 07:26

Hi all December seems so far away and I not started putting on weight or anything yet but I literally can not stop eating between being sick and falling asleep at work xxx

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/05/2014 08:07

Morning all!

Lovely and sunny here in South Brum. I am having a lay in as Dp has made me decaf coffee and crumpets. in a bit I am going to get up, have a shower, throw up, brush teeth, throw up, brush teeth again, then go out in the sunshine for the day. Via the chemist for laxitives. I had heard that tonic water is good for cramps but didnt know that about restless legs. might start having a small glass before I go to bed. Still feeling better than I did. Taking the pregnacare again later so if its that contributing to the foulness I will know.
12 weeks and next scan seems so long away. Sad

SassehMonsta · 03/05/2014 08:48

Vicky have you tried the alpro soya yoghurts? some are lovely (others are not, but I don't like some flavours! Mixed summer fruits are the loveliest IMO).

I've switched off the Boots/Tesco pregnancy multivits and just on folic acid (with some b12 food supplements in my food), and I have to say while I'm still being sick a couple of times a day, I have far less nausea. Hurrrah! Still shattered mind you!

Meant to be driving an hour+ to Oxford for a first birthday party, then back for a BBQ at a friends this evening. Might cry off the party as all extended family will be there and we aren't ready to tell most of them yet. Blaming it on DH haing a migraine (which he does have, poor soul!).

Last night went well, good reactions from friends one had a mini fake strop as I was not allowed to be pregnant before her / we laughed about it in the past! & a lovely evening, even managed to cook and eat dinner! Plus, a friend made a vegan chocolate and ginger cheesecake, and while I don't like ginger, this was AMAZING

PolytheneGirl · 03/05/2014 09:06

Hi all. I hope you are all coping with the ms.

Sassah there shouldn't be any Vit A in Preggie Multi Vits I don't think?!

I had my check up for my eye condition yesterday annd had bed news. The disease has started reacting to the pg already, which obviously we were hoping wasn't going to happen at all. My treatment options are very limited for various reasons but mainly due to little bean being in there and so susceptible to toxins right now. My eyesight has suddenly worsened this morning too. Feeling pretty angry, desperate and alone today. Just a waiting game now.

Sorry for the selfish post. Just need a moan Sad

Pepsiaddict · 03/05/2014 09:51

Hi Ready congratulations! I'm still breastfeeding my 14month old last thing at night and boobs aren't sore. They are also tiny and deflated so haven't even had the increase in size I had last time. Have heard that bf'ing can reduce morning sickness but mine kicked in yesterday so later than previously. Hope you have a good holiday.

Shanels · 03/05/2014 10:12

ploythene so sorry to hear that. What have you got? Mine have started too- iritis, esceleratis...

SassehMonsta · 03/05/2014 10:20

Phew - panic over - yes, the multivits have no vit A inthem! Sorry to hear your eyesight is declining poly. Keeping my fingers crossed mine stay as they are, as Im short sighted enough as it is!

DrewsWife · 03/05/2014 10:25

Had weetabix and decaf coffee. Washing is in the tumble drier. Leaving in an hour. Heading to Carlisle to meet friends from Birmingham Salvation Army who are putting on a concert Grin. It's a 2 hour drive so that should be fun.

DrewsWife · 03/05/2014 10:27

The eyesight thing. Can it be because we are all bloated with extra fluid? I read that eyesight can be affected. Mine certainly isn't fab at the moment. But I have noticed the more bloated I am the worse it is.

Ladylel · 03/05/2014 11:54

I have come to the conclusion that pregnacare was making me feel more rotten than I probably should have been.
This morning was the first morning where I have just taken folic acid having finished the box of pregnacare I thought was a good idea. And I haven't felt this good in ages.
Energy spurt, bit of a house clean and washing on And out by 930 as well as showered and dressed. The only one suffering is pooch who hasn't been walked as waiting on post man.
Got a bit of an ache going on which is my only symptom from the ms I had been feeling.
Woo bank holiday!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Our plan of action is to let certain family members know about our news. Just under 3 weeks til wedding so to avoid family conflict we're letting them in in the 'secret' everyone seems to know already :/ wish us luck!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/05/2014 12:30

Pleased to see it's 12:30 already! Only four and a half hours until home time :D I'm sitting on the till and trying not to puke on the customers Grin

PolytheneGirl · 03/05/2014 12:35

So sorry to hear you're suffering too Shanels. I have retinopathy and macular edema. It's a bloody nightmare. Had been stable for 18mnths so thought now was the best time to ttc but doesn't seem to have helped at all!

DrewsWife I worked for the Salvation Army in Birmingham for 8 years! I might know some of your friends. Small world!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/05/2014 16:02

Wow, today has been a massive struggle. I am so tired I can barely lift my head up. How the hell am I going to hide this from work for as long as I'd like to? Taking time off isn't really an option as I need to ensure the shop is covered in my absence, and I need to save my holiday for a family wedding in the summer. Man, this is hard. Way harder than I imagined it would be. Moan moan moan.

Somersetgirl1990 · 03/05/2014 18:07

I've been at my mums house since yesterday, told her the news and she was chuffed so that's a weight off my mind! Also told my step dad and sister - she promptly burst into tears which I wasn't expecting! I've now had talk of babies for 24 hours and am kind of fed up of it. Reason 1 being that I feel like crap and summoning any emotion other than "I want to throw up and then fall asleep" is very difficult. Reason 2 being that I feel like it will be jinxed, really don't want to get ahead of myself and assume everything's going to go well. Maybe I'm just a massive pessimist as I said that to my mum and she instantly said, don't be silly that's not going to happen.

Managed to eat a big lunch, came back up about 10 minutes later and now I'm slobbers out on the sofa feeling sorry for myself whilst everyone else walks the dogs Grin

Hope everyone's not feeling too rubbish today!

Ooh I bought some sea bands. Thought they helped but actually, today I've felt ill all day so not convinced!

8+5

dottytablecloth · 03/05/2014 18:41

Good to keep up with how everyone is doing.
I'm 8+5 and feel dreadful today- the nausea and the tiredness are just dreadful. Wish I had enjoyed my break from it a few days ago and not worried.

I had my flu jab yesterday so I don't think that is helping with how I'm feeling.

Got my first scan date but it's not until 23rd May, seems like such a long way away!

CallingAllEngels · 03/05/2014 18:49

I have been as much use as a chocolate teapot today. Trying to persuade DH tontake DS down to ILs caravan tomorrow so I can get some rest...am knackered.

DrewsWife · 03/05/2014 22:18

SassehMonsta · 03/05/2014 23:12

Significantly less nausea again today, not been sick and managed to enjoy myself. Now smell of wood smoke from a friends Bbq/party. Got my first baby gift from my friend - photoframe, candle & card. Cant actually get my head round the far im growing a. by!!!

ChineseFireball · 04/05/2014 07:24

I found that for the sea bands to work you have to believe in the sea bands. If you believe, they will work Grin

Visiting MIL today. That means I get to have lunch cooked for me and then lie in the sofa doing nothing all afternoon while MIL plays with DS. Scorrrrrre! She's fab Smile

Hope everyone has a good day.
