So sorry kidney. Look after yourself.

I had my early scan today. I'm meant to be 6 weeks. They did an abdominal scan. It couldn't show much. The sac is in the right place but they said its too early to see anything else. They've taken my blood and I have to go back Friday to have it done again to compare the hcg.
Not feeling positive as there was nothing else to be seen.

DrewsWife · 01/05/2014 00:25

Treacle. Did they do an internal scan? It took that to find mine today. Just slightly too early. My lentil is 2mm. Tiny. They really do have to hunt for them

oohdaddypig · 01/05/2014 06:35

kidneybean I'm really sorry. Please take care of yourself. Xx

treacle I think that's the issue with early scans - it's often difficult to see anything so you end up with a worry, usually needlessly. Hope you get reassurance from the blood test xx

ImBrian · 01/05/2014 06:58

Treacle try not to worry, I've had early scans where nothing was seen but then when scanned internally there it was.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/05/2014 07:11

KidneyBean so sorrySad

Treacle I hope it goes well tomorrow.

I just about made it through my working day yesterday but sneaked off for a five minute nap, went to bed as soon as I got in, then went out for a walk with Dp before getting an early night. Woken up as tired as I went to bed.

My aims for today are:-

  1. To make it through the day without vomming in a public place.
  2. To not blurt out "I'm up the duff you moron" to the next person who tells me I look tired.
  3. To not punch the person who looks askance and comments at me for constantly grazing (fruit, wholewheat shit, yogurt with seeds etc, so not exactly Mrs Lard McFriedSugar) in order to keep from vomming in a public place. Just because you have food issues love, allowing nothing but the daintiest of morsels past your lips (processed shite and sugar) doesnt mean I do. Judge in some other direction.
  4. To have a poo. Getting silly now and feeling foul. I am allergic to stonefruits so prunes are a no. May have to resort to using a plunger if I can get DP to assist (short arms, fat ass, cant reach) although I think he may resist the offer to "please plunge my anus dear"Grin Will go to chemist before work and pick up some fybogel. Hope the nosy boots lady who comments on your shopping "ooo got hayfever have we? My daughter/husband/dog had it so bad he sneezed an adanoid out of his nose"... honestly when I bought the test to find this pregnancy I had to walk miles to a different chemist!
  5. To make it through a 10 mile car journey with a colleague who drives like a wind up chicken and who has terrible breath without vomming in his car. A very real concern.

I hope you all have a similarly successful day. Grin

Ha ha love your to do list spider . Mine for today just reads
-Find a way to keep almost 3 year old DS occupied inside today as there is no way I can face the world!
-Try and convince him to have an afternoon nap with me.

Surely that's not too much to ask!?

5+3

Treaclepie19 · 01/05/2014 07:45

Thanks everyone, it was external so hopefully just too early.
Just got to work. Deep breaths!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/05/2014 08:05

Sorry kidney :(
Treacle, best wishes for your blood test.

I've woken up with the most horrendous back ache, in my lower back and in my shoulder (probably from my bra). Prospect of work is making me want to be sick Confused
6 weeks today!

Rejjie · 01/05/2014 08:10

So sorry kidneybeans I hope there's better news for you soon.

Bighairy thank you for your posts. They are keeping me very amused.

espa · 01/05/2014 08:17

Someone tell me that this nausea goes away?! Ughhhh. How do i get to work for 8am tomorrow?!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/05/2014 08:27

This is the first morning where I've had nausea; it usually comes in the evening for me. I'm trying to get ready for work but have to keep sitting down and breathing through it Confused

dottytablecloth · 01/05/2014 08:45

Sorry to hear the sad news.

I'm worried because I've felt awful for about 9 days and then yesterday around dinner time I just felt the sickness go.

Am 8+3 and feeling v anxiousHmm

The last time I was sick from 7-28 weeks- I'm so worriedSad

KateJ28 · 01/05/2014 09:01

So sorry to hear your news kidneybean.

Bighairy I hope you achieve your to do lost today - I'm feeling similar about getting through the day! Woke up last night and had to puke into the bin by my bed much to DH's delight! What an introduction to MS.

I'm waiting for an early scan on Tues next week to confirm everything's ok as I've been having cramps and abdominal pains. Not sure they'll see much as I'll only be 6+2 then, but I hope it'll reassure me.... Going to be an anxious few days!

Have good days ladies! Xxx

KateJ28 · 01/05/2014 09:13

dotty - I'm no expert but from what I've read, it sounds like MS comes and goes and is different for every pg, so it doesn't sound like anything to worry about. Do you have your 12 wk scan booked in yet? Xx

Minion · 01/05/2014 09:20

Sorry to hear your news kidney I hope your little bean is just being a bit shy.
Hahaha hairy 'please plunge my anis dear' has just made me snort and now finding it harder to hold wee number 4 in.
dotty fingers crossed it's just settling down for you and nothing more. Remember every pregnancy is different.

I dont regally have the nausea in the day either. Mines in the evening, but I often don't feel sick just vom out of nowhere. Tis strange.

7+1

SassehMonsta · 01/05/2014 10:20

Decided it's most definitely my vitamins that are making me feel shite - missed them on Tuesday and all of Wednesday I felt human, until I took them again in the evening - today I'm so horribly nauseous again. Booo.

Super bloated at the moment as well, all wobbly stomach and uncomfy trousers.

Today's to do list -

  1. Make husband pasta and remember to drop it off to him at work (we ran out of bed for sandwiches oops...)
  2. Go and meet the school at 12 for a taxi collect tomorrow as my mum is in hospital for the day (kids club)
  3. Go and meet said kids that I'm collecting after 4pm so they know who is picking them up
  4. Tidy the house never going to happen
  5. Attempt to not vomit in the car again. Thank God for who ever suggested sandwich bags incase you can't make it elsewhere.

7+3

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 01/05/2014 11:22

Sasseh what vits were you taking? I'm sure the pregnacare ones completely wiped me out!

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 01/05/2014 11:28

Oo I'm 9 weeks today!
2.5-4.5 weeks till scan!
Hoping its not the latter end of that scale!
Back/bum pain was horrible yesterday when I got home I took 1 paracetamol and had the hot water bottle on my back all evening and night. Doesn't seem as bad today but did get worse over the day yesterday. A friend thought I should go to a and e because this kind of pain isn't normal but it didn't feel like an emergency to me. No blood or cramps so just wait and see.

ChineseFireball · 01/05/2014 11:44

Urgh. Sympathies to all the vomitty ladies. I've got up today feeling like death warmed up. Went to work but by 10.30 I'd changed my mind and now I'm at home in my comfy clothes lying on the sofa working my way through the sky planner. Might have a nap later...

treacle I hope it was just too early. Fingers crossed.

hairyspider love your to do list Grin

5+5 (only. Can't believe ms has started Sad )

DrewsWife · 01/05/2014 13:01

Morning ladies. Not long awake. :). Thankfully don't start work until 7 pm. Yayyyyyy. Today I'm freezing. Can't warm up so sitting in the living room under a duvet and watching OBEM.

7up seems to be working for me. I'm usually a diet coke addict. But cont stomach it. Normally I hate 7up. Think it's the lemon and lime.

Water tastes vile at the moment. So I'm not sure how to get round that. Or do I just go with it. When will water taste great again?? I normally drink loads of it.

It's raining here so the cats won't go out. They are running about like nutters and yelling while playing with their toys. I'm going to yell at them and hang them by their whiskers in a bit lol. Wink

mopsytop · 01/05/2014 13:09

DrewsWife have you tried sparkling water?

KateJ28 · 01/05/2014 13:14

ChineseFireball - I'm with you! Only 5+4 myself and feeling naseous and puked last night. Puked in a bin. Classy.

ARGH being at work is so shitty when you feel knackered and sick. DrewsWife - enjoy being on the sofa!!! I envy you... (until 7pm at least!).

Emily I hope the back pain eases...

DrewsWife · 01/05/2014 13:17

Late when you are on the sofa at 7. I will be envious of you haha x.

Sparkling water?? I normally don't like that. Might give it a try.
