Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DrewsWife · 30/04/2014 14:54

Went to the gp at 10. And she was lovely. But insisted I went to EPAS early preg unit. Was worried I was having an ectopic. As I had a few pains.

Had my abdominal scan couldn't see anything so had an internal one and there was this gorgeous heartbeat. The machine didn't date me sadly but she thinks I am just under 6 weeks. So say 5+4. Wink Is just 3 days under what I thought. But will get a
More accurate result at next scan.

Midwives were sooooo nice which wasn't my memories from my dd 18 years ago.

On antibiotics now and to drink lots. Sadly I normally drink a tonne of water but it just tastes vile to me.

Was lovely to see Lentil though. Hubby came too and he burst into tears Grin

SassehMonsta · 30/04/2014 14:59

(oh yes, my GP barely registered the fact I told her I was pregnant when I went in the Monday after - grumpy woman!)

My positive attitude/feelings/non-sickness may be down to my bath this morning first thing (6am). Mind you, I almost had a breakdown when I realised it was lukewarm! Cue me fighting with the heating, hot water boiler, waiting lots, and eventually getting the kettle out before it decided to play ball!

and yes ots so frustrating! I managed to start making dinner, but by the time it was cooked I was so off food. :/

and the pre-natal vits are basically a multivit with folic acid in!

chillychicken · 30/04/2014 15:16

My diet today has been horrendous.

Bowl of muesli with skimmed milk
Smarties easter chick with mini smarties
Large packet of Walkers S&V crisps
Cadbury's egg and spoon
Some fruit

I can't stomach lunch. Have lied to DH and said I've eaten it as he'd go bananas otherwise. I didn't eat dinner last night and I know he's getting worried.

I feel very, very poorly today. Headache, dizziness and achey. I'm meant to be doing a food shop tonight but I don't have the energy. DH got tuna out the freezer for dinner so we have to have it. I'm thinking of just going to the local shop and getting a pack of noodles. Tuna with sticky, chilli noodles should just about be manageable. Have cramps and a dragging feeling "down there" too. I want the sofa and a blanket. Sad

Have barely managed to do any work, everything is such an effort. An hour until home time, that's all I've got to think.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 30/04/2014 15:21

I went out at lunch time and brought a pack of prunes! Will report back later! Lol I have such a headache and tired when is this going to get easier

LittleSarah · 30/04/2014 16:08

Hello all

Well as well as the nausea that hangs around all day I now have the beginnings of a headache due to faulty fire alarm going off pretty much all day! Not really loud but it is a constant horrible whine and driving me slowly but surely maaaad.

Thanks for all the comments about crochet. I am bound to get confused with British V American terminology cineraria but will try and keep myself sorted! Will be using Youtube to learn so will try and find US ones at the moment. Going to pop into John Lewis after work and get some wool to give it a go. Very excited but I know (like sasseh) I probably won't manage much while still so nauseous.

Sasseh - Your blanket looks fab! Glad you are feeling better today!

Punky - Going to look up those three blankets you mentioned, although I may just make my life more difficult!

Drewswife - I used to make loads of cards! Love stamps too! (Great you saw heartbeat!)

Re eating I basically don't like the idea of eating but it is the only thing which briefly eases my nausea so I am managing to do it fairly regularly. Think I might put on more weight earlier this time as last time I found it hard to eat much of anything at first. Like you chilly my dh gets really annoyed if I am not eating and is determined to see me swell up as quickly as possible!

Right, off now to buy wool and then have a life drawing class (first one) which I now regret signing up too as so sick and tired but sure I will enjoy it when I get there.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 30/04/2014 16:45

Ds' new mission in life is to lie or lean on my boobs at every possible opportunity. Dh has been banned from their vicinity.

I'm not even paying attention to my diet. If I want to eat it I'm eating it, if I don't then I'm not. I've only been sick once a couple of weeks ago and the nausea seems to have settled down so long as I eat as soon as I feel hungry. Massive difference to the ms I had with ds. Still missing my lovely cups of tea though.

DrewsWife · 30/04/2014 17:26

Emilypinkorblue- when is this going to get easier...

Oh in about 18 years haha x

Rejjie · 30/04/2014 17:47

ots Your GP sounds like a twat! I have a great GP but couldn't get an appointment with him when I found out so saw one who was a bit like, "whatever". She made me feel that I was odd for making an appointment, which is a bit of a downer when you're so excited.

I got an appointment for my scan today on the 10th of June. I'm so excited but it still seems like sooooooo long to wait. I'm assuming I'll have some kind of booking in appointment with a midwife before then. Does anyone know when that usually happens? It's just a relief to know I'm now in the system and things are moving.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 30/04/2014 18:12

Drewswife nooooooooo!!! Lol

Prunes worked a treat! Daily prunes it is!

Ladylel · 30/04/2014 18:16

OTS I swing from being starving hungry to nauseous sick but need to eat to clear the nausea. Swings and roundabouts. Also I booked docs appt and saw my gp and she was lovely, just accepted I was, told me the at home tests are pretty accurate these days, I was having a bit oftough time and wasn't really paying attention to taking my pill and by time I found out I was pregnant I hadn't been on it a month, she said it wasn't unusual then signed me up to all the things, took my weight and height and next thing I knew I got my letter through post for mw.

REJJIE I have mw appt tomorrow for a chat, blood tests and then she said its when they arrange my booking so surprised your scan is coming first and at so far away. I'm hoping I get a scan in the next 3 weeks. Be a lovely wedding present!

Is anyone feeling constantly light headed and dizzy, I can only assume its almost like I have low blood pressure but that's been taken and no comments were made :( I feel constantly drained and I've done SFA!

Kidneybeansmummy · 30/04/2014 19:49

I've been reading the messages and want to wish you all well in your pregnancies. I'm bowing out of the group - had a scan today and I'm meant to be 6 weeks tomorrow, but have an empty gestational sac measuring 5 weeks, no fetal pole, no yolk sac, so looks like I am going to miscarry. Good luck with your pregnancies and beautiful Christmas babies. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Martie1 · 30/04/2014 20:59

So sorry kidneybean

Been really busy in work today and I'm totally finding that this keeps my nausea at bay! Phew! Felt horrendous this morning, body has been threatening a cold for the last few days, but thankfully no appearance.

I've realised that carbs are my friend at the moment and fruit. Veggies or anything salady are a no go and make me feel like barfing. Ugh!

mopsytop · 30/04/2014 21:04

So sorry kidney bean.

I've finally got a midwife booking in appointment, next Friday when I'm almost 11 weeks! They reckon they'll rush my scan through so I can get it in time.

Penguin13 · 30/04/2014 22:26

Kidney I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself and I hope that in time if and when you are ready to try again you get a lovely sticky bean.
