Martie I found that centrum pregnancy vitamins were making me feel so much worse so I've switched to just folic acid tablets, 90p for 90 at tesco! Does anyone know if there's any other vitamins that I need though? I'm not really managing to eat much, and what I can eat is by no means healthy!

ChineseFireball · 28/04/2014 20:27

whatsonemore that's brilliant news! So pleased for you :)

Can't imagine how you running ladies are doing all the running. Although to be fair I don't run other than to stop DS from grabbing things that aren't his. Starting to feel tired but not sure whether that's because of being updiffed or because of a lack of sleep following a particularly poorly week with DS. Vomit and squits are not my number 1 choice for a weekend activity. Poor little chap. He's feeling much better now and back to doing almost proper sleeping so that's a relief.

On my previous AN thread we put how far along we were at the end of each post - it was useful for comparing symptoms etc - do you think that might be a good idea to do here? What do people think? So, e.g....

5+1 Grin

Somerset vit D maybe?

Shanels · 28/04/2014 21:00

I just read that having nausea and morning sickness increases your pregnancy's success by 70%! Just thought I should remind all those suffering that this is good news.

However, I am 8 weeks on Weds and have had no MS. :( today I felt really normal and full of energy. Which again made me sad. Could the baby have stopped growing? Hate this feeling. I feel as if this is our one chance in life with this pregnancy as we had tried for years and once we gave up, it happened.

Welcome to newbies!

Somersetgirl1990 · 28/04/2014 21:13

Shanels could you go for a reassurance scan? Might put your mind at ease, even though I went for one on Friday and saw a strong heartbeat but am now thinking what if something's gone wrong between then and now!
Is anyone else watching OBEM? Don't know if I'm just a massive pessimist but I can't imagine getting to that stage! Had a dream the other day that me and all of my friends from secondary school were giving birth in sledges filled with water Confused but cooked turkeys were coming out instead of babies Grin

Vicky5910 · 28/04/2014 21:17

Sorry haven't managed to keep up with everyone, but.... I pooped! happy dance
Also old my boss, he was lovely. I ha to as I'm scoffing ginger biscuits and sprite all day, kids are being super nosey about my sudden biscuit obsession... :/

Shanels · 28/04/2014 21:27

somerset I had a scan at 6 weeks, as I've been spotting, and saw a beautiful heart beat. Is it crazy to do another one again?

P.s. Don't watch OBEM unless you love it.

Somersetgirl1990 · 28/04/2014 21:35

Shanels I don't know - I want to say yes, but I'm also wanting to have another one in a few weeks but think it may be a little bit ott Confused I never ever imagined I'd be this paranoid and worried!

Saraswati · 28/04/2014 21:48

Hi all! Just got my bfp, ETD 3rd jan but there's no jan group yet, I'm a bit early to the party! This is my first pregnancy, first month of trying so a bit shell shocked. Just got back from a holiday in India where I was taking anti-malaria tablets going to ring the doctor tomorrow as I'm a bit worried about having taken them, anyone know anything about this?

DrewsWife · 28/04/2014 21:53

I have been in bed since 6. Utterly done in. I worked fro 7pm til 2am went to bed at 3am and then went to church at 10am to sort out mountains of paperwork. Got home at 5pm.

It's my own fault. Thankfully I'm off work tonight but I'm back at church at 930am. Then start work at 6pm. Arghhhh. Confused

None of my trousers fit me. My boobs are just ridiculous!! Went from 34g to 38J. Lots of nausea but no ms.

10 days til I go on holiday!!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/04/2014 22:03

Shanels, try not to worry. Deal with the facts as they arise or you'll go mad. completely understand how you feel about the last chance thing but even if things do go badly, its not your last chance. In any case you are pregnant today. You booked in for a scan yet? x

oohdaddypig · 28/04/2014 22:05

Hey shanels I think it's only a slightly increased chance of no m/c though without m/s. I know loads of lucky folk who didnt get it. When I had my m/c I had awful m/s so in my case at least it's not a great predictor of success!

What malaria tablets sarawati? But it sounds like you stopped taking them before you got your BFP anyway? Ie very early stage? Congratulations btw!

I'm going to book in for an 8 week scan privately - which will be sometime next week. Although I have lots of symptoms for some reason I don't feel pregnant Hmm

whatsonemore brilliant news! So pleased to hear it. You must have got dates wrong at start then, do you think?

oohdaddypig · 28/04/2014 22:07

drewswife I'm intrigued as to your job! Grin

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/04/2014 22:08

Got Midwife 1st apt, hospital booking in AND scan tomorrow. I am bricking it a bit.

Not poo'd and want to before they scan me as dont fancy my packed bowels being examined.

Symptoms coming and going atm. Had a breathtakingly sharp pain in my lower abdomen yesterday, lasted for about 10 seconds then went away.

Will know dates tomorrow (fingers xsed) either 9+4 or 13 +4. If the latter I will be due november and have to switch threads!Sad

DrewsWife · 28/04/2014 22:20

Ohdaddypig I'm a call handler for a fine foods company.

I take orders from chefs for food delivery next day. Vans start leaving warehouse at 3am

I work permanent nights. Which leaves me free to do stuff through the day :)

Just cut down from 5 to 4 nights a week. Lol. But promptly added in doing admin for my church. Am also a Sunday school leader Grin. Think I need my head examined!

DrewsWife · 28/04/2014 22:22

Hairy spider is your last period not easily pinpointed? I was told it's first day of last period. Puts me in for 23rd December

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/04/2014 22:24

I know I'm not meant to be here but can I just say, staff discount on fine foods sounds bloody excellent Grin

monkeybaby2 · 28/04/2014 22:27

shanels I've had no ms this time nor with DC1, and neither did half my NCT class so try not to read too much into it. Let's just look on the bright side that of the many horrible, gross or humiliating symptoms pg throws at us, at least we are part of the lucky minority to escape this one scot free!

7+5

monkeybaby2 · 28/04/2014 22:33

And Vicky Poo High Five, bet it felt wonderful!

And good luck tomorrow Spider, hope the Poo Fairy visits you tonight.

Treaclepie19 · 28/04/2014 22:35

Anyone else had sharp pains on moving? I'm finding if I lie still there's just some pressure but some movements I'm getting really sharp pains. Hopefully it's just wind.

DrewsWife · 28/04/2014 22:51

Yeah staff discount is fab! But there is only so much venison you need to buy in a year. I do have grouse in the freezer and hubby loves the cheeses.

But I have great access to foods that are served in some amazing hotels and restaurants.

The chefs are a brilliant mix of hilarious, flirtatious and grumpy. Speak to some really great chefs every night.

Somersetgirl1990 · 28/04/2014 23:19

Is anybody else spotty? I've managed to get through my whole life without ever having break outs, I used to get the occasional spot and that would be it, even as a teenager, but right now my whole forehead is swarming with spots Confused please someone tell me it doesn't last the whole 9 months!?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 29/04/2014 05:50

Drewswife Lastperiod was not normal. Just after it I went to Drs complaining of Abdominal pain and nausea. I said that I felt pregnant but test showed nothing and course I had just had semi period. Went back a few weeks later, they retested, nothing. Next period missed, pregnant.

Didnt sleep well last night. Fretting about work and today's scan. Sad
