Hello newbies and everyone

Gosh I have totally got my queeze on today, I am sure I was going green in dd's playgroup! Then one of the organised asked how I was feeling about going back to work, and the emotional reck I am I nearly burst into tears! Rarr perfectly reasonable question...

Just about still fitting in my bra, but I fear mega boob has begun!

Ladylel · 28/04/2014 13:14

I'm finally back at work after annual and sick leave all rolled into one. Feeling better kinda much prefer to be anywhere then work right now tho.
Just tired. Running is at the bottom of my list to do altho I do enjoy the odd jog walking the dog is enough to exhaust me.
I had a dress fitting on Saturday. And first time I went the boobs were too big so had to have it taken in, not a bad thing but I tried it on Saturday and now it's about an inch too small. I haven't told my dress lady but could have cried. I've put in 2.2kg since the 31st march but must all be in my back and chest but bras still fit ok... :/ Luckily she's left enough to take it out thank god. 3rd and final fitting on 10th getting married on 23rd.
9 weeks today and I have brown spotting so panic and stress level gone up a few notches. If oh pulls through and sends me mw number before lunch I can call her and get reassured that everything is normal ahhhhhhhhhh :(

kelsuprise · 28/04/2014 13:53

Hello ladies.
Please can I join your lovely group. I am 5 weeks pregnant with my third, due on the 29th Dec!!

SassehMonsta · 28/04/2014 14:07

Properly rough today, including being sick in a public carpark. Didnt make it to work but been vegging out at my parents house so I've at least got someone around while dh is out at work. (mind you, my siblings are annoying so may have been better off at home!)

Is dioralyte OK totake? Mum gave me a cup full after being sick and feeling rubbish. Had half of it but left it after that.

Congrats whats!! Super pleased for you!

Fab news what'smore, how many weeks are you?

We got to see a teeny heartbeat on sat night too after a bleed that I had, it was only just starting to flicker though so have follow up scan next Tuesday and hoping to see it stronger then.

I am still losing old brown blood, does anyone know how long this will go on for?

Had midwife appointment today. She’s adjusted my date from 11th to the 10th so I am 7+5 today but has said the date I receive at the scan is the date they will then work from. Apparently if these dates are correct the latest I’ll have the baby is 22nd Grin

She’s made me feel completely at ease with regards to the cramps and the symptoms which disappear one day and appear the next. Haven’t had nausea for a few days now so naturally worried a bit!

I asked her about early scans and she said there were pros and cons so I’m still undecided on this.

Loads of info to read so that’ll keep me busy tonight! Had a blood test and have the form to fill in for my free prescriptions. Scan should be booked in for 4-5 weeks time and then it’s back to the midwife at 16 weeks with a urine sample and we'll listen to the heartbeat then as well. She’s given me details of the antenatal classes and told me to book on to the September/October one as early as poss as it books up quickly.

She was absolutely fantastic and had a fantastic sense of humour. I have her mobile number, the local birthing centre number and the number for the maternity unit at the hospital.

I didn’t ask loads of questions as I’d mainly forgotten them but I came away feeling pretty positive and it definitely feels more real. I can’t wait to go home, curl up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and read through the info Grin

Whats so glad to hear your lovely news. It's an amazing feeling to see that little flicker isn't it?

Sorry you're feeling so rough Sasseh I think you did the right thing staying home and resting and it sounds like your mum is looking after you.

ots · 28/04/2014 16:10

Hope everyone had a nice weekend Thanks . I'm 5 weeks today and its definitely starting to feel real now. With DS I didn't feel pregnant til about 9 or 10 weeks, but already having so many symptoms with this one. No sickness yet, just a bit of nausea. Didnt get morning sickness with DS so hoping it will stay away this time too. Can't imagine it will be much fun with a 3 year old running around Grin

Good luck to all who have scans coming up. :)

LittleSarah · 28/04/2014 16:15

Hello all

Hope to join you all, I am 6+3, due 18th dec with no 4!

Sorry to hear you feel so rubbish sasseh. I feel pretty awful today. I have been feeling pretty nauseous for two weeks but the last two days have been much worse with lots of... Ahem... Diarrhea. I think it is maybe a Tummy bug sand phoned in sick today but am a little concerned it is just bad pregnancy symptoms and I could feel like this for weeks and weeks!

Good to see some mums of larger families on here, v pleased to hear your good news whats! Specially emphasise with Imbrian. My mum sporadically orders me, only half joking, not to have any more children, as I apparently have enough to deal with. I know she will be supportive once she gets over the initial shock but it is rubbish to dread telling people.

chilly sounds like you had a really good appt with your midwife. I spoke to mine today to arrange booking Appt (16th may). She did most of my antenatal last time and is great so glad to have her on side again.

Jealous and excited to hear about early scans and heartbeats. Like so many of you I am also mega paranoid and hate these early weeks. Had a missed miscarriage a few years back which is always at the back of my mind now.

No advice about brown blood, sorry, hopefully it will pass soon though.

dotty don't think it is the kids I am finding so tiring but full time work. With other pregnancies I was part time now I am full time with an hour commute each way which is a struggle at the mo!!

Hope everyone else's Monday is going well!

Chipandspuds · 28/04/2014 16:21

I must admit I'm struggling today, I just feel wiped out and we've had three house guests in the last month. I was hoping DS would have an afternoon nap today but he didn't so I almost fell asleep on the settee to be poked in the eye by DS! Another early night tonight for me!

dottytablecloth · 28/04/2014 17:58

First day back at work today and I really missed my afternoon snooze on the sofa when baby was sleeping!

Is it weird that I'm worried that I didn't feel as sick today? I'm 8 weeks and have felt sick for a week. Is it bad if you suddenly stop feeling sick? I did vomit this morning but only felt slightly nauseous during the rest of the day.

dottytablecloth · 28/04/2014 17:58

Ps it's so lovely to hear of people starting to see little heartbeats! Wish I was at that stage.

Cineraria · 28/04/2014 18:20

So pleased to hear the good news Whatsonemore!

Welcome to ask the newcomers too. I'm glad to see a few more people at the end the month like me. I was feeling left behind reading about so many people who are more than eight weeks.

My clothes really aren't fitting much now, which is odd as I'm a pound or two lighter than I was when I found out. I make most of my own clothes, so they tend to be quite an exact fit compared to shop bought ones and having gone up at least a cup size and got fluid retention on my stomach, it just looks like I'm wearing someone else's clothes. I've been looking at maternity sewing patterns as I'm not sure what adjustments I'd need to make and there are some really nice ones that aren't too obviously maternity. I just hope they're quick to make!

Rejjie · 28/04/2014 18:22

Hi all.

I'm having a good day today, which is just as well as I study horticulture at college on a Monday. Today I had to be assessed on double digging a 2mx1m trench. Pretty knackering but not as bad as I feared it would be. I figured that women in the third world do much more strenuous things while pregnant. Luckily I wasn't having one of my nauseous, dizzy days or I think I would have ended up in it!

Ready to curl up on the sofa now though.

Bettycakes80 · 28/04/2014 19:34

I'm so impressed with everyone still out running. I used to go to the gym 4 times a week and run every Wednesday morning. Now I hardly have the energy to get up the stairs at work!

Martie1 · 28/04/2014 19:41

Hi all! whatsonemore, that's fantastic news! You must be so relieved! dotty I was also wondering about the random change in symptoms. I have been taking pregnacare tablets but last took one on Saturday morning. I felt horrendous on Saturday, tired with all day nausea. Dh made me a beautiful chicken salad which I'd normally devour but I was turned just looking at it and then had parts of it repeating on me all night!! So I are lightly on Sunday- toast and fruit mainly and I felt a lot better. Topped off with a chicken chow mein!! Apparently greasy good floats my boat!

Stating of the pregnacare in the hope that it will reduce my nausea since I've seen else where that it's caused others to be sick. I wanted to hurl a couple of times today but thankfully did not feel nauseous all day and that to me is a plus.

Martie1 · 28/04/2014 19:42

Staying off!

monkeybaby2 · 28/04/2014 20:07

I JUST DID A POO!

Woohoo! First decent shit in over a week owing to a combination of preggo constipation and the lack of veggies in American food.

It seems all I needed to do was touch back down on British soil and normal Poo Service was resumed (thank fucking god) as that was the most uncomfortable work trip ever.

And oh the farts...DH is so happy to have me home (poor nasally sensitive bastard).

mopsytop · 28/04/2014 20:12

whatsonemore that is great news. What a relief!

martie if you're staying off pregnacare make sure you're taking folic acid at least. You can buy v cheaply from chemist they'll tell you what dose.
