Welcome natashaarr and congrats on your BFP
cooper fx all is going well in there.
punky thanks for the 'p' fruit advice, i eat it all the time as my bowel was lazy even before pg, now it's real struggle.
stetson i am the opposite, i don't usually eat much meat but maybe my body is craving proteins cos i have the urge to go and get a steak. , I've never liked red meat and hope it's a good sign.
Still no symptoms apart from boobs getting heavier.

Hi, can I join? Have been thinking about joining for a week or so but couldn't quite believe that we'd been so lucky so quickly. I'm between 5-6 weeks pregnant and have a fourteen month old daughter. No symptoms yet which is strange as last time I was really nauseous, had food aversions, bloated, sore boobs etc at this stage but I guess there's time for all of that to happen yet! Hope that those of you that are feeling unwell feel better soon; every pukey day is one less you have to go through.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 27/04/2014 11:36

Well it's official - tea makes me queasy. Hmph.
Biscuits too, and anything sweet. Maybe I should name change? Ha.

PunkyPod · 27/04/2014 11:45

Welcome Pepsi and Natasha!!

Cooper that's such a scare. I hope you don't see any more red blood. Lovely you saw the bean though!

Well my bad tummy has now gone, I'm so glad. Grin 9 weeks today, apparently the size of a radish!

littlegreengloworm · 27/04/2014 17:04

Hope you are all keeping well

I bought an angel sounds monitor on last pg and dh got it out of the attic today and I got a HB. I know there is lots of controversy but I got a huge amount of relief the last time and I have put it away again now.

I am hoping not to show for a mother month to six weeks so I am going to start walking again. Weather should be good.

ChineseFireball · 27/04/2014 17:08

Hello... mind if I join in? I've been lurking a bit trying not to jinx things but now I have had a nice strong BFP it's making me feel a bit more positive. EDD by LMP is 27/12 and this will be DC2.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 27/04/2014 17:22

Just checking back in to say hi to everyone. Smile

peace I can't drink tea anymore either. Had a cup yesterday morning and spent the rest of the day feeling awful.

Back to work tomorrow after Easter holidays and with no tea I'm anticipate I'll be needing a nap on the sofa by 3.30.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 27/04/2014 17:27

dotty totally understand about just lying on the sofa not being an option anymore. When it's absolutely necessary cbeebies and DVDs are your friend though.

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 17:27

I'm back at work tomorrow too. No idea how I'll cope haha.

ImBrian · 27/04/2014 18:40

You have to some times just die quietly on the sofa with them. Mine are fairly good at entertaining each other which helps.

Louise7486 · 27/04/2014 18:58

Hello
My EDD is Dec 27th and it is killing us both we can't tell people yet.
Got my first app with the midwife on Wed :)
Bit worried as I am 40, first child. Happened all so quick, only trying for two months. So far so good. The pinching pains are weird but that is meant to be a good sign :) Very tired though and I'm usually full of energy.

Ladylel · 27/04/2014 20:28

Cooper, I had a but of a 'scare' this morning, wiped and found browny discharge, only the once tho, although I have had 'period' ache on off most day, nothing horrendous, dull ache both sides.
Took a few deep breaths read a few mumsnet posts and came to conclusion unless it was bright red then it's all normal.
OH was paying attention to SIL Who now has 5 wk old and said something about spotting and it being nothing to worry about. Clearly my head was in clouds at the time.
9wks tomorrow, midwife Thursday.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 27/04/2014 20:36

Told my mum on the phone tonight because I started crying I was so paranoid! She is very happy, but I don't have a great relationship with her so I don't know whether to trust her not to tell anyone else. Blah! Boobs aren't very sore today and I'm not bloated anymore. I'm not even that tired. Did a IC test and got a really strong dark line so I feel a tiny bit more positive. I can't keep doing tests to reassure myself though, can I? I'm driving myself potty. The doctor put me back 2 days because she seems to think my cycle is 30 days so I'm 5.1 today I think. I do feel as if I'm always putting a dampener on this thread with my paranoia, so I'm sorry. I might take a few days out to see if it helps. Hope you all have non-eventful, happy weeks :)

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 27/04/2014 20:38

Welcome Louise, chinese & anyone I've missed!

Treacle, good luck at work! I'm dead by the end of the day looking after our two ds's (going to bed in a second).

Peace, no biscuits or tea?! How will you get through the pregnancy Shock I can tell I'm pregnant, I'm eating ketchup, hate ketchup!

Booked a scan for Thursday will book on with dr/mw depending on the outcome of that!

ChineseFireball · 27/04/2014 21:34

Cripes this is a busy thread, isn't it?! Have just read through to get up to date. Can't name check much because of posting from the app, but hope you ladies with spotting or bleeding all have good news if you haven't already. Is it whatsonemore who has tests and bloods tomorrow? Good luck Thanks

Callingallengels I recognise your name from a conception thread. So glad to see you here!

I think there are 3 ladies who are Midlands/Birmingham/Marches way - I'm a little further south but within waving distance, so... Smile

I'm hugely impressed at the stats document! Lovely filters Smile

Treaclepie19 · 27/04/2014 21:39

peace, don't feel you're bringing us down! This is where we can all help each other :)

, I'm from the Midlands chinese :)

CatFaceCrayola · 27/04/2014 21:44

Hi.
tentatively creeps in.
I'm 6ish weeks in to my first pregnancy. So exciting but also bloody terrifying!

I'm due 15-20th December depending on whether I go from last period or ovulation/conception.

Everything is a bit of a mystery to me. Got my first midwife appointment on Wednesday though so I'm hoping that will calm me down a bit

SassehMonsta · 27/04/2014 22:37

Just stuffed over half a large pizza from pizza hut. Totally going to regret that soon, but it was so worth it. Reckon if I go to sleep now there's less chance of it making a reappearance? Fingers crossed!

carleneuk · 28/04/2014 00:13

Hi guys. I thought I'd jump on the wagon and share this journey with some of you :) I'm currently 7 weeks exactly (by my LMP), due 14/12/14 according to my doc although by my calculations it should be 10/12 since I have 24 day cycles...? Anyway I feel dreadful - attacked by nausea pretty constantly (helped slightly by some antiemetics that my Dr prescribed), exhaustion, painful boobs, bloated after the smallest meal, headaches and crazy emotions made worse by my grumpiness at my super sense of smell. I don't know how my DP is coping with me! I know they're all good really as they show that little one is growing but goodness it's hard work! I'm a full time student nurse in my 2nd year and start my next placement in a couple of weeks. Is there anyone out there in a similar position? Also, I am a Xmas baby too, born on the 16th and I always loved it. It's such a lovely, festive time :) It'd be nice to share/learn with you all.

oohdaddypig · 28/04/2014 04:58

Just saying hi to to everyone too - and hello to chinese, carle and louise.

peace I hope you are doing ok. I think it's such a difficult time as you feel crap yet can't tell everyone and there is this constant worry. You might feel a bit better after your first midwife appointment?

carleneuk hello and sorry you feel so awful. Do the drugs help with the all day ghastly nausea? I'm really struggling with it but I have always found zero sympathy - mine is keeping me awake just now... Argh.

Oh - hello catfish too!

AFM I am contemplating begging an early scan for next week. I am 7 weeks tomorrow. As I have had an early m/c before I hope the EPU is sympathetic to my plea!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/04/2014 06:48

morning all!

I am back at work this week and not looking forward to it. I need to try and hide this until mid june and I have passed my probation ( two days later I will have been working there 26weeks so will receive maternity). I share an office with a very nosy girl and a guy that eats fishsticks for lunch. Sad

I am also in South Brum (Rednal).

Sheilathegreat · 28/04/2014 09:04

Morning everyone

Peace if you find it helpful to put your thoughts down on the thread don't stop! As someone else said it's what we're here for. I know I was a maniac during my first pregnancy. Every twinge was a cause for huge panic. I too told my mum earlier than planned because I was so scared. Hope you're feeling a bit better today Smile

I've just come back in from a run. I didn't run during my other pregnancies but it feels ok for now. Would like to keep going as long as poss and thinking about doing a 10k in two weeks... But we'll see!

toomanypasswords · 28/04/2014 09:13

Hello all, can i join please? Got my BFP last week and should be due on 30th Dec (though sure that will change if / when I get to scan). I have 1 DC already but suffered a MMC in Feb, so feeling a bit paranoid at the moment!!!

CallingAllEngels · 28/04/2014 09:31

Hi to all the new BFPs . Just back from a weekend in the UK where we told my parents and siblings. Haven't had time to catch up on thread but on holiday this week (so I may be on MN a lot!)

Have just heard from mw to say I have an early scan at 8w and my first official scan and booking in appt at nearly 11w. Just have to get throught the next few weeks!

CallingAllEngels · 28/04/2014 09:32

sheila I am supposed to be doing a 10 run in 3 weeks when I'll be 8w pg.
