Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Vicky5910 · 26/04/2014 20:08

KildaTiffany - hi! Welcome :) I am the same with good, nothing appeals (except something smelt yummy earlier, it was raw meat... Wth!)
My poor hubby is trying to make nice meals to tempt me and I keep turning my nose up. That man does suffer trying to keep me happy!

Vicky5910 · 26/04/2014 20:15

Food not good!

PolytheneGirl · 26/04/2014 20:18

I've got a dicky tummy too. I have mild nausea most of the day but first thing in the morning it's terrible and I run straight to the loo for diarrhoea but it just seems to be once a day.

I have been feeling a little off my food but today I made a salad for lunch and fresh homemade carrot soup for tea which both went down easily, so I'm wondering if fresh fruit and veg might be the way to go.

Minion · 26/04/2014 20:20

Me too kilda food is such an effort at the moment. I'm not impressed.
Poo wise, urghhh, I'm switching between only seeing the loo on special occasions and being is closest most trusted confidante!

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 26/04/2014 20:24

Huge appetite here, nothing fills me up and that's despite food retention, not good either. My belly has never been that big. 7+2.
And I bought a flowery dress today, what's going on?

oohdaddypig · 26/04/2014 20:33

peacelovebiscuits where is your pain? I have had loads of pains and I think it's just (already loose) muscles and ligaments thinking about doing it again....

I have horrendous wind. It's possibly due to my crappy diet of chewing gum, porridge, eggs, tomatoes and chips as anything else makes me retch.

Wish me luck -I'm bridesmaid in a week and swollen boobs means I can hardly shut my dress which was loose on 2 weeks ago!

PunkyPod · 26/04/2014 20:46

Oh so there are a few of us suffering toilet troubles..... My stomach is just churning, I must have been to the loo about 15 times today. Urgh need this to do one because it's making me really weak. But I have just eaten a little burger and my tummy hasn't done flips yet. I just can't decide if this is a bug or baby related.

For anyone suffering constipation, eat fruit beginning with 'P'. Should help Smile

PolytheneGirl · 26/04/2014 20:49

Haha 'P' for Poo fruit! it's been a long day!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/04/2014 20:49

Oohdaddypig it's gone away now and although it felt sharp, it wasn't cripplingly painful so I guess it's just one of those stretchy things, as you say! I'm just the most paranoid woman on earth Confused

Vicky5910 · 26/04/2014 20:51

Haha I have been talking to hubby about poo fruit! It's our one year anniversary tomorrow, he is not liking my idea of dirty talk...
How bad is this, I'm actually jealous of you all having the trots!

rockstars12 · 26/04/2014 21:06

wow, there are loads of new people! Congratulations on your bfps!
I've been gone a while as I was a bit freaked out by my pregnancy. I googled too much and read too many horror stories and then we found out we were potentially having MCMA twins, which is rare and extremely high risk. I was torn between trying to be optimistic and preparing myself for the worst.
Booked an appointment at fmc and had scan yesterday. Both dh and I were relieved to hear they are diamniotic. Heart beats had increased and they're measuring ok. It was my third scan and I'm having them weekly at the moment. I'm 8 weeks 4 days and they're 8 weeks 1 day, but 12 weeks is when the best dating occurs. I've been told I will need a c section, which is fine by me. I already have a very obvious bump. Nausea all the time and trying to find food I fancy is pot luck and spur of the moment.
We have told our families now, still early days, but I don't mind them knowing.

ImBrian · 26/04/2014 22:18

That feeling that you're about to crap yourself in sainsburys is never a good feeling! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's got a dodgy belly. It's the first time in 7 pregnancies I've had this.

mopsytop · 26/04/2014 22:29

That's a relief rockstars. Glad all seems well.

Well, I had the running for the loo too but now it is the reverse which is worse I think! So it seems like along with nausea maybe the most common symptom?

Somersetgirl1990 · 26/04/2014 22:49

I feel horrendous for the whole day unless I have a nap around lunchtime - I feel like a toddler! Not really sure how people manage with being pregnant when they have young children

Rejjie · 26/04/2014 23:40

Is anyone getting alternate day sickness? It's bizarre. One day I feel pretty much normal and on the other I feel like I've been run over by a bus! Dizzy, sick (although no actual vomit) and the dodgy tummy you all seem to be having.

I'm also craving salt and vinegar crisps most of the time. They are my favourite flavour but they are usually something I have once in a while in the pub. I've also found that the thought of chocolate and sweet things in general is really unappealing. I think the sudden need for salt is probably to do with increased fluid in the body, excessive urination and the loss of electrolytes but thats just a guess.

I advise trying Bottle Green ginger and lemongrass cordial with sparkling water for the nausea.

cooperbug · 27/04/2014 00:28

Had such a fright today! Fresh red bleeding on wiping at 6pm so we went straight to A&E at hospital where there was a four hour wait! Anyway was sent to the gynae ward to be seen there sooner.

At first the nurse told me they wouldn't scan me as out of hours but when I seen the doctor she said she would do it as next appt not until Wednesday. Firstly though I had a speculum exam and although my cervix was closed they noticed a ectropion on it which bleeding could have come from.

Had to have a transvaginal scan and after a bit of looking about they were able to locate the sac with teeny tiny embryo inside and a small heartbeat. She didn't date me as could not get good measurements but thought I was nearer 5 weeks than the almost 6 Weeks I previously thought.

Got to go back in 10 days time for follow up scan so hopefully all will still be ok then and we will see a bit more. Keeping fingers crossed

Somersetgirl1990 · 27/04/2014 00:34

Oh how scary for you cooper - glad that you could see a heartbeat!

I've just got home from work and taken a centrum pregnancy care tablet and promptly threw it back up... Not sure if they're making me ill? Is that a possibility? I'm thinking of going and just buying some folic acid tablets tomorrow because I don't want to keep tablets that I then throw up Confused also, I know you're not supposed to take iron tablets without recommendation from midwife, but the pregnancy tablets have 15mg in, if I bought some iron tablets of this level would that be ok to take to help with tiredness?

Ladylel · 27/04/2014 02:08

rejjie I know exactly how you feel. Altho ATM feeling worse most the time. Last Thursday was the last time I felt ok. Then I started to come down ill, hopefully on mend tho and look forward to the normal days more !

somerset first I chucked was Thursday gone think its cos I took vitamin on empty stomach first thing and by time I decided to get up for breakfast it was too late :/ Most of time I've just been nauseous but as of Thursday just gone I've hurled 3times, twice on Thursday early morning and mid afternoon and then once this Saturday evening.
Keep finding myself retching more tho especially when it comes to cooked meat. Had to make a dash to loo just jn case when sorting out chilli from the other night.

Also I went from being constipated to all I sudden being looser in the bowels. And I hadn't eaten any differently :/

I also find napping helps. I think I've been less grouchy lately OH might think differently!

oohdaddypig · 27/04/2014 06:40

cooper thank goodness you got your scan and all was ok Flowers

ladylel my preg vitamins definitely set off my m/s. I just take folic acid/vit D. Boak.

Well for all you sick girls I have worked out the days I have zero sugar I feel a million times better both in terms of energy levels and sickness. If I stick to just savoury foods I can actually function in the evening. I hope this helps someone :)

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 27/04/2014 08:33

Cooper that sounds so scary :( glad you had a wee scan and saw your bean was still there. Best of luck for your next scan. Has the bleeding stopped?

natashaarr · 27/04/2014 08:36

Hi everyone, can I join? I think I'm around 6 weeks but I'm worrying like hell as I had a miscarriage in December so I really want to make sure everything is ok ASAP Confused my boobs are sore and I'm always tired so they're the only symptoms atm!

cooperbug · 27/04/2014 09:01

Just old brown loss now but I am paranoid every time I go to the toilet now incase there is more!

StetsonsAreCool · 27/04/2014 09:48

Haven't managed to keep up with the thread at all this weekend. Dh is away so I've been on my own with dd and going to bed not long after her!

Somerset, I got really bad nausea after taking the pregnacare conception tablets! I took then back to tesco - didn't want to feel sick if it wasn't related to pg!!

Speaking of which, I pretty much feel sick all the time now. I'm off all kinds of food, especially meat. Bit of a shock to my carnivore system. I'm eating because I have to but every time I swallow I feel like it's going to come straight back out again. Haven't actually been sick yet though which is something!

Congrats to all newbies and twinnies! And hoe funny that there's a January group. I still feel like I'm only just getting my head round it!

ImBrian · 27/04/2014 10:34

Cooper that sounds so scary! Glad you got to see your little bean x

Somerset the tablets with iron in can make you feel worse, maybe try just folic acid or a different brand.

Last night was the first night in ages where I didn't feel horrible but then this morning after much wretching I wasn't sick so now I feel crap!

Is anyone else's bloat starting to change shape? I'm massively bloated due to ruined muscles but the very bottom is puffing out now which isn't bloat. Can't wait till it's a proper bump and I don't just look like I have a beer belly.

dottytablecloth · 27/04/2014 10:55

Am 7 +6 today and think I have actually lost weight due to not being able to eat chocolate in my usual large quantities.

Feeling really rough every morning now and last time it lasted until 28 weeks Sad

How are people with children to look after coping, last time I was able to just lie on the sofa and feel sorry for myself, but it's not an option this time.

We are delighted to be having #2 but it's definitely a different experience!
