Eek twins! Congrats Pickles Smile

Sorry to hear about the migraines others are experiencing. Sounds just awful.

Not in the same league I know but I'm gutted I've started to feel heyfevery ... I haven't found any safe medication that actually works.

DrewsWife · 25/04/2014 17:20

I had to go back to bravissimo today sadly. I have gone up a back size and another cup size in 2 days. The girl was amazing. Spent an hour with me just so I felt comfortable. Grin I'm now a 36j hahahah. Got 38 for night time. I'm only approx 6 weeks. Please tell me the boobs will stop.

I'm also out of my jeans totally. Maternity ones only. Am so wide there is no bump there Blush

Pickles. What fab news!

littlegreengloworm · 25/04/2014 17:22

pickles that's amazing news

Double the trouble, twice the fun... Ahh Grin

Shanels · 25/04/2014 17:54

isambardothats great! Happy for you. My spotting stopped today but keep checking- can't help it.
pickles whoop whoop that's amazing news!
mopsy I've been suffering with migraines this week too- starts after lunch then I end up in bed after work. I took paracetomols once but managed to bear for the rest of the time. Could it be dehydration?
Love to all

mopsytop · 25/04/2014 17:57

Thanks Shanels, sorry to hear you're suffering too. No defs not dehydration. I have suffered since childhood and am on long term daily medication.

espa · 25/04/2014 18:01

Wow twins! How exciting! I keep teasing husband it could be two, think he'd be v shocked if it was!

I've been off work last two days with sinusitis, felt better today but just had a two and a half hour sleep and not feeling any better! Hoping this is just a bit tougher to get over as I'm pg and not a sign of things to come!

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 25/04/2014 18:05

Ooh pickles! Great news!

Booked my scan today, am the size of a house so fingers crossed there's only one and I can blame my shite core muscles Grin

mopsy, sorry to hear about the migraines being a constant, fingers crossed you're better with them overall this time around.x

I cried at the start of Ted last night (the film about the bear), ffs. Hormones.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

ImBrian · 25/04/2014 19:14

Pickles that's lovely news Smile

I was physically sick today for the first time, I though it would start earlier as I'm 9 ish weeks. Hopefully it's a one off as feeling sick all day is bad enough without spewing as well!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 25/04/2014 19:35

Congratulations Pickles! That's lovely.

So sick today - have a dissertation seminar tomorrow where I have to sit through an entire day of people talking, on little hard chairs in a hot room :(

Plus my nipples itch like mad but are too sensitive to scratch.

Sheilathegreat · 25/04/2014 19:54

Told my dad today. He was so sweet Smile Even talking about baby sitting instead of running for the hills as the prospect of three grandchildren (two of which are very full on - so hoping this is the calm one I always envisaged having Grin) really should provoke!

Treaclepie19 · 25/04/2014 20:35

Aww that's lovely :)
My parents to at were talking about going camping (which they do a lot) and my mom (who hasn't seemed excited at all and it will be her 4th grandchild) said "we will need to get a travel cot! Oh and the baby can sleep by us!"
Really made me smile :)

SassehMonsta · 25/04/2014 20:51

Went for scan today - not twins! Hurrah! ;) Husband was going to berate his father if it was (he has twin half siblings already!). yes we know it doesn't run in the male side of the family but his dad wouldn't & neither of us get on with him!

Dated as 6+4, so 2 days behind what I'd thought originally, but I can live with that. Strong heartbeat, but baby kept wanting to hide (I blame the father, such an introvert!), so measured in at 7mm. This brings my due date to the 16th Dec - eeeek!

Told my parents, their reaction was brilliant. Mum got a massie smile and waited for dad to open his (he was being sloooowww) and his reaction was "oh, what?!" followed by a re-reading and a "seriously?!" :) Both super happy, and mum gave me a pregnancy book from pre-my-birth (over 26 years old!). Will be interesting to see what differences the reccomendations are ;)

Kidneybeansmummy · 25/04/2014 21:22

Congratulations pickles, how very exciting! lovely reading everyone's stories of telling family...to nervous to yet, despite the pregnancy tests becoming darker lines, still no symptoms at 5+1, so not like the other pregnancies at all. Will just have to wait and see!

mopsytop · 25/04/2014 21:26

I'm not telling my family until 12 week scan ... more from superstition I think, cos I'd tell them if I miscarried. Just have a stupid superstitious feeling. Idiotic really ... it is just you can't control it, if it is going to go wrong there's not much you can do, and I guess telling people is something I can control. Silly I guess but I'm feeling constant low-level anxiety so anything that helps...

threeicklepickles · 25/04/2014 21:47

Wow pickles you must be excited and scared at the same time, congratulations!

Got my booking in appt sorted for the 19th May, seems so far away atm.

Not sure when we're telling people, think we'll wait a few more weeks at least. The tiredness is kicking in now, had a training course today and I could barely keep my eyes open this afternoon.

Treaclepie19 · 25/04/2014 21:52

That's my birthday haha, it will be here before you know it :)

mopsytop · 25/04/2014 22:00

Ugh I think I'm getting carpal tunnel already ... Sad left wrist really aching and up my arm. Gah.

Ladylel · 25/04/2014 22:57

I'm already getting hip pain which I think is sciatica :/ feels like I've trapped a nerve or had my legs crossed at a funny angle. Not pain pain more discomfort than anything. Also for some reason shoulders/arm sockets are aching if I lay on my side too long which is very unusual seeing so I always sleep on myside and not had issues before grr

espa · 26/04/2014 00:49

I already have sciatica/prolapsed disc (yes at 28 - the joys!) and dreading it getting worse.

First night of insomnia despite being shattered, petting it down to hubby being out tonight. Hoping one he's in I'll be out like a light as I'm soo tired.

Sheilathegreat · 26/04/2014 08:01

Espa its the opposite for me. DH is away and it's the best nights sleep I've had in ages! 7 solid hours and the DC slept in by their standards. Feeling very refreshed and wondering how I break it to DH he's not allowed back in the bed Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/04/2014 08:27

As far as sleeping disturbances I'm going to bed very early (9pm sometimes) and waking up through the night to squirm and roll about, then waking naturally at 7 and unable to get back to sleep. Usually I'd sleep in until midday if I were allowed to! Doctor this morning, cross your fingers for me because I'm so nervous.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 26/04/2014 08:29
