Sorry to hear your sad news Zebra and for all the others recently with sad news too!

For all the worriers, yes it is completely normal to worry and no it doesn't get any easier with your second!! In fact I think I'm much more anxious this time around! I have hardly any symptoms (which I dont think is helping), apart from being hungry all the time and super moody! Greenstone I have very low tolerence at the moment, so my poor DD must wonder why mummy keeps shouting (its mostly at daddy), but I must try to be happier and more positive!

I feel as though I am well behind some of you, only 7 weeks today and there's no way I can wait another 5 weeks for a scan. we decided not to tell anyone until the scan, but I think I've convinced my DH that it's worth having a private early one, I'd like to wait until I'm over 8 weeks, and I've found a local clinic, so I think I'll be calling them in the morning to make an appointment.

alita dp and I have had sex throughout and have just made sure he doesn't go as deep, I had some cervical bleeding after sex at the beginning and then some bleeding in week 6 but a scan showed everything ok. No bleeding since that scan including after sex. I would say if you feel physically and mentally ok for sex then go ahead!

Just catching up on posts having been away all weekend in the middle of nowhere. Spent most of the time pretending to drink but not actually consuming any. We've haven't told anyone yet except my manager at work who wanted to extend my contract until December. I think I'm really paranoid because I have no "proof" that I'm pregnant, neither my doctor nor midwife checked for a heartbeat, I only have the pregnancy tests, so we're waiting for the scan which is on 30 April (when I'll be 12+1)

I've bought a bra extender and a bigger cupped bra which should hopefully avoid needing to buy endless numbers of bras over the next few months!

Been feeling really unwell and tired today.

Random - thanks for the info about early scans, in my scan pack from St Peters Hospital they mention they do private scans for £60.

Time for OBEM which also means it's snack time Grin

blamber · 07/04/2014 21:49

zebra, I'm so sorry.

moffit I'm 7 weeks too!

I had some morning sickness, but true to its name, it has only been in the morning so far. I'm exhausted though, so tired it makes me cry. It reminds me of the time before I found out about my underactive thyroid. Really hate being reminded of that, it was a crap time. This time all the fatigue should be worth it in the end!

HRMumness · 07/04/2014 21:57

Oh crap Zebra, sorry to hear.

I have been worried about my impending scan on the 2nd May. I'm getting a full on bump and feel quite pregnant but haven't had much in the way of MS like I did with DD. My Mum said she had none with my brothers, just the odd food aversion, apparently it was me she had all the trouble with, so am hoping I just take after her in that regard.

Tigsy · 07/04/2014 22:21

Zebra so sorry to hear your news. Take good care if yourself and hope you're back with a sticky BFP soon.

Just reading all the stuff about Peaches Geldolf and keep thinking about her poor boys, who will have no memory of her. So sad. Puts into perspective all my moaning.

Amyrose82 · 07/04/2014 22:23

ElleOhElle · 07/04/2014 22:35

oh no zebra. so sorry xxThanks Thanks Thanks Thanks

RandomInternetStranger · 08/04/2014 00:20

Sorry to hear that zebra.

Just prepared myself a small midnight snack having woken up after a nightmare and needing the loo and staring again (apparently my new nightime routine) of 2 pieces of toast, a can of spaghetti hoops, 4 eggs scrambled, a cup of tea & 6 digestives, and a can of rice pudding with a huge dollop of strawberry jam. And this is after scoffing 2 plums and an entire punnet of strawberries in bed before the agonising hunger pain subsided enough to let me get up and get some proper food. This eating is becoming a problem...! Grin

Had to start wearing my old SPD belt today as it's already got bad enough to be causing problems and got to say it seems to be helping more this time round than I remember it helping last time. Smile

RandomInternetStranger · 08/04/2014 00:20

Moffit · 08/04/2014 08:17

loaf it's weeks + days

Miskate · 08/04/2014 08:19

Loaf, it's weeks plus days in the week since the first day of your last period. So I am 9 weeks + 2 days (9+2). I only know that because I had an early scan. Also, it is only accurate up to a point as you may ahve a longer/shorter cycle than average.

Moffit · 08/04/2014 08:23

Hi Blamber (waves) just realised we're due date buddies!!

blamber · 08/04/2014 10:35

alita7 · 08/04/2014 10:39

just had a dream that I'd had baby (didn't have labour in the dream woke up just after) he was tiny like prem tiny and not pink he was normal coloured. (he because I saw a little willy) dp was carrying him and said are you sure there's only one in there, I said I don't know. DP didn't Wana go to the hospital so I took him myself and put him in a little baby bed, not incubator when I got there, they were surprised as he wasn't screaming like others. weird.
