So I got a stupidly early faint positive today at 9dpo when I should definitely know better after a chemical last month. According to the Calendar I'm due December 1st so I've decided to be massively optimistic and start this thread. Is there anybody put there?

Folks, I am starving all the time and if I don't eat I feel sickly.

I am going to start walking a lot from tomorrow. Also constipated.l the glamour. Luckily I have lots of tops that are loose and lost a good bit of weight after baby (just turned seven months) so people might jut think I've not lost belly up yet

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/04/2014 18:29

Hello! So happy I've found you all. I got my long-awaited BFP on 19th April and am supposedly due 25th December, waah! I haven't told anyone besides DH and a couple of online friends, so I'm bursting to talk about it! Spending the weekend at my ILs and have already had to make weak excuses to avoid heavy lifting, and champagne with our dinner Confused I'm now having a sneaky nap upstairs because I'm freezing and exhausted.
Symptoms wise I've got the hugest, sorest boobs ever, bloating, bad back (boobs?) and tiredness. And a pretty much constant grin on my face Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/04/2014 18:36

Ah should have said 18th April, although 19th was my Clear Blue Smile

Cineraria · 20/04/2014 19:59

Good idea, Vicky, but it would be a bit mean of me as he's really very good on that score.

Congratulations Peaceloveandbiscuits! That's the same date as me. I know there's only a slim chance of them arriving on the expected date but it still makes me wonder what Christmas will be like this year. I know lots of people try to avoid having Christmas babies but I am really happy. I have a brother, a niece and two friends with birthdays Christmas week and they all seem quite happy with it.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/04/2014 20:05

Cineraria my birthday is Christmas week and I didn't like it at all growing up!! But I'm just happy to be expecting at all :)

Ladylel · 20/04/2014 21:02

chipsndspuds I know how you feel. Just had my hen wkend away in Brighton was amazing even sober. But now I'm home I'm feeling run down. Major sore throat, shivers, phelgmy and all round tired exhaustedness. Not sure if it's the come down from being so busy, common cold or after a google (I know I shouldn't have) toxomopolidis (can't spell) but my common sense logical head says I'm just tired and paranoid as it's very unlikely!
Also my moodswings are terrible. I can be fiery at the best of times but OH is getting the brunt! :( this makes me feel bad and emotional as I know I'm hurting his feelings... I'm 8 weeks tomorrow had a plethora of emotions and 'symptoms' in just under a week. God help me!

Kidneybeansmummy · 20/04/2014 21:13

Hey ladies, can I join you? Albeit still a bit tentative, 2 x clearblue positive tests but all hospital grade ones still negative! Due date 25th December as well! Lots of Abdo pain and back pain today, so hoping all is well in there and that I get 2 proper blue lines tomorrow!

StetsonsAreCool · 20/04/2014 21:29

Lady, I was a grumpy sod during the early weeks of my first pg. Not so bad this time, that I can tell Wink

Congrats newbies - loads of Christmas day EDDs now! Ideally, we wouldn't have been expecting a Christmas baby - this was meant to be a practice month! I have mixed feelings about it tbh. Poor child will always have its birthday overshadowed by Christmas, it will always be school holidays so birthday parties will be a bit underattended, and how on earth do you separate the two events when Christmas starts in October??? I'm almost hoping I won't be on time!

DD was born at 40+3, so if this one is too, that's the 25th... If I went a week over, I really wouldn't mind a NYE baby Smile

I'm not feeling as crampy today, which has been mildly comforting. So, so bloated though. Urgh.

DrewsWife · 20/04/2014 21:40

Ok am I normal??? I can't get my jeans fastened, I just tried to eat yoghurt and fruit and nearly threw up, my legs are aching. My lower back is twingy. I'm utterly exhausted and keep bursting into tears or laughter.

I don't think I have my head around this yet! My side is a wee bit achey. And my boobs well they are bruised feeling.

Kidneybeansmummy · 20/04/2014 21:42

Ha ha, this was our 'practice month' as well! I feel the same about being due at Christmas, but I guess they will just have to have an extra party in the summer! :)

espa · 20/04/2014 21:46

Ugh after a day outdoors I have ended up with hayfever, sneezy, sniffly and very sinusy. Suppose it could just be a cold (though typically I get full blown sinusitis and rarely if ever hayfever) but just typical - can't take antihistamines when pregnant without consulting doctor! Ughhh, rubbish.

ffallada · 20/04/2014 21:54

Hi drewswife - I'm not having a problem with my jeans but the throwing up, leg aching, exhaustion and random emotion all seem pretty par for the course so far. I actually cried at the sound of music this afternoon Easter Blush, and I'd only watched 5 mins cause I was so tired after the morning dog walk I haven't moved from the sofa since. It wasn't even the right version of the sound of music - it was some American remake (ok - I know the original was American but this version was really really American) The fact I even have an opinion on the sound of music has taken me a little by surprise!

stestons My sister has two children born in late November / early December, like the queen, they have two birthdays. Their real birthday celebrated by the family and their birthday party which is held in June / July respectively. She holds them around the same date each year so their friends know when to expect it. I always thought it was a bit silly and have had a complete change of heart now my bean will be in the same situation.

Does that sound like something you will do?

I heard that hospitals really try to avoid NYE babies and will induce expectant mothers to avoid having anyone in hospital that week?

StetsonsAreCool · 20/04/2014 22:00

My jeans are currently undone (must get me some jogging bottoms), I have restless legs, I've had two naps today, and my boobs just want a break Grin

Maybe that's something to consider Ffallada. DD's birthday is end of May, so as long as I avoid clashes there I don't see why it couldn't work. I've heard of people who do that, but now it's something to consider, it just feels a bit weird celebrating a birthday so far away from the actual event. We'll have to work something out though!

Interesting to know about them keeping the hospitals quiet too.

DrewsWife · 20/04/2014 22:04

Yeah emotional wreck at random stuff that's me too ;).

I cried in church today. Over something piddly can't remember what it was. Took a walk around a car boot sale. Bought a high chair and a travel cot. GrinGrinGrin

Went out to a local castle and spent a lovely afternoon out. Walked for ages. And then drive back home. Been in bed since 6 and too tired to get out

I'm not wanting to be a lazy moo I'm just tired.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/04/2014 22:06

My dad offered a summer birthday to me when I was little, but it didn't feel "right" (obviously I wasn't aware that the queen has two birthdays Grin). My parties were always discos in freezing halls with Christmas crackers and leftover food. When I was a teenager my friends were always visiting family or too Christmassed out to go out for my birthday. So I am a bit gutted to have a Christmas EDD, but we have been trying since August 2013, so I do feel thankful that it's finally happened Smile and hey, I was at least one of the eldest in my school year.
I've got the aching legs too! Thought I was imagining it! Feels like I've pulled muscles in my thighs. And I'm starving, but not at home so I have to wait to be offered food Hmm

Cineraria · 20/04/2014 23:35

Sorry to hear your birthdays weren't as much fun as you'd liked Peaceloveandbiscuits. We always held my brother's parties on the Saturday just after the schools broke up for Christmas and I think most of the parents were glad to have their overexcited children go out for a few hours and have time to prepare for Christmas or pack ready to go away to family, so luckily most of his friends came.

You must have been glad to get the good news this month after trying for a while. We weren't trying for that long but I found it really exhausting wondering each month if I'd done everything possible to maximise my chances and planning around everything we had in our diaries. The first thing I thought when I saw the positive result was that at least we weren't going to have to try again quietly at the critical time next month when we're travelling and staying with my mum!

I hope everyone's aches and pains feel better soon.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 20/04/2014 23:43

I didn't mean to sound so negative in my comments about December birthdays!! It wasn't all that bad really :P

Hi all,
Due 10th dec, daring to hope a bit now after multiple miscarriages.
Dizzy, achy and heartburn, and bizarrely filled with hyperactive energy. Soon Fed up of feeling half starved, then not all hungry as soon as there is food in front of me.

CallingAllEngels · 03/05/2014 15:04

Hi cup - come on over to the new dec 14 thread (link above). There's also a dec 14 pg after mc thread. x
