So I got a stupidly early faint positive today at 9dpo when I should definitely know better after a chemical last month. According to the Calendar I'm due December 1st so I've decided to be massively optimistic and start this thread. Is there anybody put there?

Still no symptoms here, phoning to arrange scan on Tuesday as I bloody forgot today!

I've just done the online booking to see my GP and get the ball rolling - I couldn't get in till 1st May! Shock

Vicky5910 · 17/04/2014 21:10

So sorry AboutTime :( I hope your symptoms ease up so you can get some peace xxx

Vicky5910 · 17/04/2014 21:12

I had my booking in appointment yesterday, at 7+1, with the same midwife from 4 years ago, and a trainee. The trainee knocked the needle out while taking blood and blood spurted everywhere! Gross! They've got to learn somehow I suppose... She was horrified, I played it down as my 3yo was watching on in horror :/

Oeufman · 17/04/2014 22:40

Hi ladies. Delighted to be joining you - if a little shocked!! I am 41 years old and expecting number 6!!! I have 2 boys and 3 girls already.

This will definitely be my last pregnancy - so I plan to really enjoy.

oohdaddypig · 18/04/2014 07:29

6 kids!!! Your house must be bedlam Grin although is it possible to ever really enjoy a pregnancy?

Martie1 · 18/04/2014 07:53

Hi all! So sorry the hear abouttime news. :( I hope it's all over sooner rather than later for you.

Congrats to all newbies! oeufman your arrival will surely make iambrian feel better, she's getting a hard time over her 5th bubba. I think big families are wonderful, one of 5 myself and just love having all my siblings, there is always someone to go to for advice/support! Would love to have a big family myself but this is my first pregnancy and just query reay how possible it will be to have 5 more. I'm self employed and we're quite reliant on my income! Hopefully my ovaries are doing a good job at sending out the best possible eggs if we're only going to have 2/3!! Lol

Just wondering how everyone's sleep patterns are? No matter what I'm awake first thing in morning- 6.30/7am. I was up last night til 1.30 and now I'm awake at 7.30. And I feel well rested most times but tiredness gets me come afternoon/evening. I'm on my easter holidays now and was planning on some decent lie ins since this will hopefully be my last easter without a tiny person(mini squeal of excitement) so this sleeping thing is making me a bit cross!!

Happy easter all!!

rockstars12 · 18/04/2014 08:40

abouttime sorry to hear your news. I had brown bleeding which was fine. I'm assuming you were scanned and they had difficulties seeing the fetal pole? That can depend on how far along you are. I will keep my fingers crossed that its not all over yet. X
martie I'm exactly the same! I don't get lie ins anymore. I do have to nap once during the day for an hour or more. It really does feel like our sleep patterns are being switched to make us able to do baby feeding. Last one late evening, first one 6 am with the possibility of some night feeds which is us getting up for the toilet several times. Weird isn't it.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 18/04/2014 08:48

Welcome oeuf

I wake up @ 2 or 3 in the morning, desperate for water (4 or 5 glasses), then it takes a while to get back to sleep and @ 6 I wake up again cos I'm bursting for the loo!

Martie1 · 18/04/2014 08:51

Glad it's not just me!! Also ladies, what's your take on decaf coffee? I've been having a cup a day, maybe two and the at lest one if not two cups of regular tea. I'm afraid now though that u shouldn't be drinking the decaf. Was going to post on main board but I'm enjoying the security of our wee thread.

SassehMonsta · 18/04/2014 09:10

Coffee is foul if you ask me, and tea isnt much better! Then again, all I drink is tap water....

Stupid body clock is driving me potty as well. Today was the first time in 2 weeks that I havent been up before 5am - today it was 6:45! Im usually awake about 2-3 for a wee, but in bed by 10. At weekends I manage to get a midafternoon nap. Yay!!

We are telling the inlaws today, in about 4 hours eeeeeeek. As they live on a canal boat, we've made a card using the clip from jaws "we're going to need a bigger boat". They will love it!!

Anyone found one boob is growing and the other doesnt seem to be? I feel lopsided when usually its pretty even...

espa · 18/04/2014 09:11

Sorry to hear that abouttime.

Anyone else constipated? My SIL had told me that she was constipated pretty much from when she found out she was expecting which sends to be the same here. So annoying as I had been ill earlier in the year and had really bad constipation and was so delighted to be over it!

ImBrian · 18/04/2014 09:24

I found a pack of tests last night so decided to take one, lovely dark line that came up straight away etc. took the other one out the same pack this morning and the lines really faint like when I first tested before af was due!!!!! I'm now stressing out and hoping that it's just because I over peed on it. Doesn't help that dp asked if it ment the baby had gone Hmm. I'm off to asda to buy another pack or do I just ignore it? I've never tested this late before (8 weeks).

Mrswellyboot · 18/04/2014 09:46

aboutime hope you are ok

Penguin13 · 18/04/2014 10:21

I'mBrian step away from the pee sticks, that way madness lies. It could actually be because your fmu is more concentrated that you got a fainter result. Once hcg gets to a certain level it is too high to properly register on an hpt. This phenomenon even has a name - it's called the hook effect (thanks Dr. Google). So breathe. Hugs though as I know how anxious this time can be.

Cineraria · 18/04/2014 10:36

Hi everyone! I'm really excited to be joining you here. I did a test yesterday which was positive and then worked out it should be due on Christmas day!

This will be a first child, even though I'm quite old (39), so it's going to be big help reading about what everyone else is experiencing, especially as I'm near the end of the month so most of you are a bit further on than me.

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 18/04/2014 11:35

imbrian hpts detect the presence of HCG hormone it's a yes or no answer, it's not meant to give you an indication of the concentration level although we all wish they did. Also, even if it was to give you such indication of levels, it looks like the 2nd test was dodgy, your HCG wouldn't have dropped so drastically overnight.

Welcome to the Xmas Baby Club cineraria

espa, yes i have that problem too Easter Blush. I'm trying to eat porridge for breakfast, lots of fruit like kiwi and pineapple, and when i go, it helps if i play with my body angle, like lean backwards, elevate my feet or bring my knees to my chest.

ImBrian · 18/04/2014 11:57

I did a different brand again this morning and test line was fainter then the control. I'll test again tonight with the 2 mad one and see if there's a difference. Just seems weird it's gone from dead strong to faint. Why do we torture ourselves!
