WELCOME! Thanks This thread is for all Mums-to-be expecting Maybies babies in (and around) May 2014! Please come and join the fun.

Put your feet up, get yourself a (decaf?) cuppa Brew and settle in to hear the aches and pains, trials and tribulations, shopping excitement and hospital bag woes of those in their third trimester.

Hopefully you'll find a listening ear and a wealth of knowledge. Everyone welcome, especially if you're new to MN and are just peeking in as you start your maternity leave.

Our group Stats Page

If you'd like to know how big your baby is this week the check out The Bump

If you'd like to mark your place perhaps you could tell us who you are and how long you've got to go!

Happy chatting Maybies!

Hello everyone! I just caught up with about a weeks worth of posts while waiting for my 34 wk check up, phew!

This was my first week of annual leave/maternity leave, and I've kept myself surprisingly busy just pottering about and doing little jobs. Don't know how I'll stay sane for the next 3-8 weeks though!

Would someone be able to pm me about the Facebook group? Would love to join now that I have more time to chat!

Chip86 · 28/03/2014 15:45

mrsmummytobe · 28/03/2014 17:04

So exciting to hear that we are well on the way to the next birth on the maybies thread! :)

Interesting to hear everyone's views on travelling close to due dates. We're supposed to be going to see my family for my sister's birthday when I'm 37 weeks - they are about 3 hours drive away. I haven't confirmed one way or the other yet, but going to see how I feel nearer the time.

Only 5 & a half more teaching days for me then I'll be on mat leave too!! I really can't wait! DH keeps reminding me it's not a holiday!

MoominIsWaitingToMeetHerMiniMe · 28/03/2014 17:17

Sorry I can't namecheck everyone and sorry for disappearing! Spent most of the past few days sound asleep on cocodamol, I'm knackered and my scar is getting worse. OH wants me to go to hospital but I don't see the point when I'll be kept in to wait to see a doctor who'll tell me I'm in the wrong place and need to see a surgeon, butbi have to just grin and bear it till 40 weeks :(

I feel pathetic, baby is totally healthy but i I cant handle being pregnant. on top of it all my heart is still having times where it beats so fast I can't keep up, and taking cocodamol so often has turned me into a zombie. I'm scared about what its doing to my baby :(

Got growth scan on Monday and consultant on Tuesday. I just want someone to tell me my baby is safe and ready and can come out but I know its not ready yet and baby's health has to come first.

Sorry for whiny rant. I'm tired and sore and stretched and swollen and generally fed up!!

Isean hope you're ok! Glad they're looking after you x

Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time moomin. Hopefully the consultant will be able to help you next week. Thanks

Right. That's this work week finished. I've enjoyed it so much because I've been the boss and my manager has been off. We've made more money this week than we have since the last time she went away for a week and I've won back a contract she lost us a year ago because she pissed off the client. I dread to think who is going to do all the work when I'm on maternity leave, but I guess that won't be my problem anymore! Grin

Now I have to go and pick up ds and then dh and then we're going to watch ds in a play at the theatre. I hope I manage to keep awake! I'm dead on my feet. Tomorrow I need a lie in!

Bornin1984 · 28/03/2014 17:27

Moomin your baby can come whenever you want! If ure getting to the stage when u need baby out then ask!!! No pain is worth this :-(

ClearlyMoo · 28/03/2014 17:31

Anyone else it's here Next Maybies Thread I'm pretty sure we've lost count but the new one has "drop zone" in the title
