May I join? EDD 15th Aug. I've been lurking Grin but I haven't posted in case it all goes wrong. 10+2 today.

ItsSoFluffyImGonnaDie · 20/01/2014 19:08

Marking place Grin

HungryHorace · 20/01/2014 19:10

Marking my place too. :-)

2beornot · 20/01/2014 19:15

Phoned ultrasound dept today who said it was fine to change my mind re nuchal scan. So I am having it done after all. And if it comes back as high risk then we'll decide what to do then. And if it's low risk, then that's one less thing to worry about!

FizzyPinkWine · 20/01/2014 19:33

Marking my place. Thanks for the new thread.
12 week scan tomorrow at exactly 12 weeks. Excited and terrified at the same time.

RosesOnTheWane · 20/01/2014 19:43

Checking in!

PinaColadas · 20/01/2014 19:49

lucyfluff · 20/01/2014 20:00

Thankyou :)

travispickles · 20/01/2014 20:04

What a long day. 8-6 at work, the last two hours of meetings. Any of you other teachers finding it tough? Was having an off day today and the kids really playing it. One of my work colleagues who is one of the few that knows said I was totally showing today. Hopefully only because she knows. Surely no one else would say anything? One if the big social faux-pas?

2beornot · 20/01/2014 20:10

Good luck fizzy! Let us know how it goes - I'm starting to get excited with the 12 week scans starting!!

Tc80 · 20/01/2014 20:10

Is everyone else experiencing what I assume as stretching pains? Closest I can describe are like trapped wind kind of pain but lower? Feeling a bit more human today although constantly feel like if anyone even touches my throat I'll hurl, if anyone talks about food I'll hurl and if I think about actually being sick I will just hurl. :) scan next thurs I'll be 12 + 4, starting to feel the panic again now

2beornot · 20/01/2014 20:11

Travis - lots of times people think it's really obvious, but people just don't pay that much attention to others!! I'm starting to show, but I'm quite tubby so I don't think it's obvious to anyone (even DH!)

Jenbee1 · 20/01/2014 20:38

Just been reading up on nuchal fold. I think I'm running a week behind the dates my last period gives which means I'll be 10+4 when they scan, which I think is too early for the fold measuring. Will they just call me back at a later date or measure anyway?

WeeJo08 · 20/01/2014 20:43

Thanks for the thread Bunny!

Travis If anyone was rude stupid brave enough to say anything you should just give the big eyes and say "I know I've put on a bit of weight over Christmas but I'm really trying to shift it..." and then rush off with a barely concealed sob. Grin

CountdownBegins · 20/01/2014 20:46

Thank you for the new thread :)

Sorry to hear that some people have has bad experiences telling people but lovely to know that we are starting to get the 12 week scans!

Did anyone else have their nuchal bloods taken at booking in? They did mine then when I was 10+5 and then she said they will do the measurement part at the 12 week scan which is next Monday... Hoping that's ok!

Feelingfatty · 20/01/2014 20:46

I honestly don't think anyone would say anything! Surely no one is that rude!! Smile

Sorry for the double post...

OveranxiousUnderated · 20/01/2014 20:50

Marking place...just realised I'm not on the stats list. Would someone mind adding me when they get chance as I can't do it on my iPad please Grin

OveranxiousUnderated, 25, DC2 EDD 4th August

I am 12 weeks today although on countdown to my scan on Friday. So nervous.

X

mssleepyhead · 20/01/2014 20:50

So sorry to hear about the sad news today...

Had a tiny bit of brown discharge today - one of those smudges where in some lights it's not even there. I've decided not to worry, and see... Nothing going on now, but I wish it wasn't there at all...

So so jealous of all these 12 week scans! Mine is 4 weeks today. Wishing my life away at the moment! Good luck to you all x

Tc80 · 20/01/2014 20:52

They took blood at my booking in (10+4) but I assumed it was for other tests they run at that stage? Midwife gave me thing to take to take with me for blood tests for when I have my scan - might be the thalassemia one though, I've lost track!

NameToBeDecided · 20/01/2014 20:52

I started my new job today and I love it! I think I'm going to get on really well and they seem like a lovely group of people. I am absolutely dreading telling them though, it's going to be even harder because they're so lovely. I think I'm going to wait until after my scan a week tomorrow when I'll be 12+4 but I don't know how long after!

Can one of you tell him for me please? Grin

Secretlypregnant · 20/01/2014 20:54

Checking in!

I had a separate appointment for my bloods to be done between booking in and the 12 week scan, so hopefully they will be able to tell me on the day.

I had chips and mushy peas for tea! Lashings of salt and vinegar!

And please don't take this as boasting, but I just feel really happy because I had some good news today - I have a bit of a post-Christmas bonus coming my way Smile. If you have a book published then you get paid a small amount every time someone borrows your book from the library. The figures have been sent out today and I get paid in February. Such a lovely feeling to see how many people have borrowed your books!
