I have rang epu who won't see me till docs refer me, docs just said to wait for a call back (3 hours later still no call) and midwives were useless...just told me to ring the docs. Tmi but it's more pink than red and now there doesn't seem to be anything on toilet paper? I am 9+5 and have no cramping at all :( hoping it's all ok x

Hand holding Carly it's an awful worry this pregnancy thing. Have the doctors called back? Ring them again and get stroppy if you're feeling strong enough?

Doctors have called back and were very reassuring. I can't face going for a scan alone so am waiting until Friday when DH is back, she is going to ring me with a time around lunch time(ish). Doctors said if it's stopping and no pain then that's very reassuring :) so just going to hole up under my duvet today and try to not panic anymore :) thanks ladies and fingers crossed for Friday x

Had my booking in appointment with my Homebirth midwife this morning, it went really well and i like her.

she made a few comments about my BMI which is getting very close to 30, i think that is the irish cut off for homebirth. No more carbs for me and alot more fish, cant gain any more weight!!!!

Bleeding has got a lot worse :,( think I am out x

rockin my bmi is higher than that (not by much) and my mw said she would have no issue with me or other ladies with a similar bmi having a home birth if I wanted. If it was in the 40s, she said it'd be a total no no but low 30s is fine. Like you, I've chosen to go very healthy this pregnancy because I don't want to pack on loads of extra weight on top of my existing wobbles - it'll only be harder to get it off again! I put on just over two stones last time but most of it went in the first six weeks thanks to breastfeeding and just being good.

Oh carly, please hang in there xx Have you not got a trustworthy friend you could ask to go with you for a scan today, if it's an option? Xx

carly all could be ok although bleeding is frightening it cam be normal in pregnancy. Hope you can get some reassurance soon.

broody it isn't painful at all just strange. I had a sore back when I was a lot heavier but am usually active and pain free.

Hang in there, Carly. As the others have said, even red blood can be OK. Take care of yourself.

baby is fine, nice strong heartbeat just been a pain with getting to see the dr. We waited over2 hours, some mmiscommunication somewhere and as ds1 is fed via tube they said go home and we will see you next week rather than waiting longer.

Just had my first scan

All normal heartbeat looked pretty cool!

Only got to have it this early because the appointments people screwed up! So got to have another scan in about three weeks so they can do the nuchal testing.

Glad the scans went well rocking and isitme :)

My parents have come down from Birmingham so am being well looked after by mummy :) the bleeding is weird was heavy for a few mins a couple of hours ago no just there when I wipe :/ I don't know what's going on but I guess I won't until tomorrow, this is the longest day ever :( x

Sorry you're having such a scare Carly. I know women who have bled quite heavily and still been fine. The fact that it is just blood is a good sign too.

I think September must be an extra busy month. Do you think that's all the Xmas 'celebrating' or planned for the school year thing?
I have been a stereotypical pregnant lady today. Not only was I craving pickles but adding them to my pizza! I have never had weird cravings in any previous pregnancy but actually fancied a piece of cake earlier and picture it on a plate with a pickle

I'm liking pickles at the mo too Fairy in fact I'm into anything vinegary/sharp. I have just demolished a bag of those Kettle sea salt and balsamic vinegar crisps while my tea is cooking (totally addicted to these!)

Sickness so bad today, not vomiting but nauseous all day. I'm only 6+4. I just want to be in bed the whole time.

I'm on a well timed holiday so just spending most of the day in bed while DP looks after the baby. It's such a waste of a holiday but also so so grateful.

Working 56 hours next week, on my feet. A bit scared.

Booking appointment tomorrow I am really really nervous. Im 7 weeks today and it feels really scary thinking about it.

Carly it might be ok. I've had red blood twice so far in this pregnancy, most recent incident was yesterday. I totally panicked and went for a private scan. The Dr told me that sometimes when the placenta is attaching it can absorb smaller blood vessels and cause bleeding. He said that out of every 10 pregnant women, 4 will experience bleeding like this and it is usually nothing to worry about, unless there is also pain. You're doing the right thing getting checked out. I've got my fingers crossed for you that everything is ok xx
