LH1981 · 04/02/2014 14:30

rockin I booked my 12 week scan today for 11th march. Got booking in on Sunday.

They had originally sent me a letter for 12 week scan for next week going on my last AF date but would have been too early so cancelled and was told to rebook directly after I'd had my scan today.

Still really excited after seeing the heartbeat!! Just wish this ms would bugger off now. Just scoffed a milky bar which has helped. X

Hubbythecatandme · 04/02/2014 14:33

Sickness is awful and really depressing. I was so miserable after the 3 days in bed I thought "is this is it for 9 months, I am never getting pregnant again!"
Yup bakery bag is the only thing I had time to grab, I blame their costa coffee machine! I just pray no-one I know saw me, sooo embarassing :S

rockin20s · 04/02/2014 15:15

newly i would be so annoyed. DH and I have talked and decided not to put anything at all on Facebook. When the baby is born i will post a photo , but no pregnancy related stuff on my page. i just hope people use some common sense and dont post stuff on my page.

we have a few friends that had had some bad luck in pregnancy and others having fertility problems so really don't want them to find out from facebook! Will have my close family and friends warned about facebook posts but you cant warn everyone!

Good old MS!! well mine was considerate enough to let me have my booking appt at the hospital this afternoon, just made me sick 3 times this morning instead!!

Got my 12 week scan on 21st Feb. Exciting!! Very strange being on the other side of it all

CumbrianExile · 04/02/2014 17:31

newly how annoying. We have managed to keep it quiet so far, only telling the parents.

I feel for all of you with the MS. I still havent been sick (although it was a close call on the plane to Ireland, thanks RyanAir!) but the nausea is a pita.

sittingpretty25 · 04/02/2014 18:05

MS really does just come and go - just when you think it's gone and you can walk into the kitchen again...bam!! It surprises you and you have to back away!!

Saying that though iv managed to cook a meal tonight (first time in about a month) not sure how I will go about eating it though!!

Bad news - just been told we have six months then we have to love house (renting) it's gutting as I imagined our baby here but so thankful we have such a lot of notice. Just wish these hormones would calm it and let me process the info like a normal person not a raging bag of tears and snot!

broodylicious · 04/02/2014 18:45

You know you're pregnant when.... Quite innocently clicked on the Facebook/lookback link and my video of my Facebook life brought tears to my eyes!!!

broodylicious · 04/02/2014 18:50

Oops just read newly's post re Facebook now!

Yeah we kept Poppy's birth off Facebook til all family and close friends had been told by us - we felt horrid doing it but we asked them not to say anything til they'd seen an official announcement from me first. Luckily, they all obeyed WinkSmile

IAteSomeofthePies · 04/02/2014 19:34

Hi ladies. May I join? I'm very cautiously dipping my toes in. EDD 1st Sept., 0 DC, age 41. After a m/c in October, I've been really, really anxious and so quietly lurking.

This is a big week for me. I have a dating scan for the NIPT blood test (which is £££ - ouch!) and my booking appt on Thurs, when I'll be 10+4, I reckon. I didn't make it this far last time.

BexBoo12 · 04/02/2014 20:02

Welcome IAteSome!! Sorry to hear of your previous loss, I've got everything crossed that this is your sticky bean Smile how are you feeling?

My heartbeat monitor came today, reviews suggest heartbeat could be heard as early as 9 weeks...I'm 9+1 and actually considering giving it a go!! Please talk some sense in to me...

OMG, I've forgotten the name of who was talking about the Facebook drama...my mil gives me that exact terror daily. We got married in secret on New Year's Eve, and whilst we were there, she posted a bloody photo on Facebook!!! IT WAS A SECRET!!! My family and friends didn't know, only my mum and auntie who were there. I specifically told everyone no Facebook posts until I made the official announcement. She paid no attention. I was fuming. She has been warned that if she so much as breathes a word if this pregnancy until we decide to tell people I may actually hurt her...lol

BexBoo12 · 04/02/2014 20:04

Sorry about the triple post, no idea why that happened. Blush

IAteSomeofthePies · 04/02/2014 20:29

Thanks x3, Bex! Wink I'm feeling OK. my boobs are at least sore from the incessant prodding, even if perhaps not from hormones. Hard to tell!

I guess the question with the heartbeat monitor is, can you be trusted not to panic? I couldn't.

Funny - we had a secret wedding on 3rd Jan., but told absolutely no one 'til afterward, so no FB drama until the flurry after our 'announcement'.

broodylicious · 04/02/2014 21:37

Omg, bex I'd have been livid!!! You kind of think those closest to you will honour and respect your wishes, don't you? Such a let down. Fx she keeps schtum about baby xx

topmammy · 04/02/2014 21:54

That is rather outrageous of your mil Bex! I'm at the mo feeling that I don't want to put any baby related things on Facebook tbh, not sure exactly why but could change I suppose.

I had to clean up a little girl in my class who vomitted today (bleerrgh) I think I deserve a medal for not throwing up myself haha. Was washing my hands lots of times afterwards, don't want to catch anything!

Well I'm 10w+5 and I think I am starting to see a little bump appearing... it's low down and feels firm and just looks at a different angle to normal bloat. Is it too early to start to see an actual bump? Maybe it's twins Shock

I a have a little podge on top of it though which makes me wonder if it's just me getting fat from eating so much (so hungry at the mo even with mild MS!)

Newlywed2013 · 05/02/2014 00:23

Well I didn't mind too much going public, where is work in a pub and did a shift the other day, me stopping pouring a pint mid way through to dash off and be ill kinda was giving the game away! Had told family though! Inlaws are moaning we didn't phone all family members individually we don't even have their phone numbers!

Kittyrose1 · 05/02/2014 07:54

Morning lovelies,

Struggled to post on here on my phone so have gone on the mac to pop in and say hello waves I'm still around! 7wks +1 and its the exhaustion getting me. I have waves of nausea but other than that no actual sickness. I have found though of an evening after I eat I feel really dodgy also really windy -disgustingly so- Blush

Lovely to see more of you have had scans and have seen baby heartbeats, how wonderful :) re: the Facebook discussion Im not sure I won't to do an official announcement on there, I hate Facebook but Im still on it lol.
Have a great day all, and those with bad m/s I have it eases for you x

bugoven · 05/02/2014 08:28

Hi all! I am unsure about announcing on Facebook too. I may let my OH do the scan photo and tag me in it. Feel bad for all my friends ttc or struggling and know how hard those 2+years were for us when those announcements pop up. I was always happy for others but ached and hurt that it wasn't happening for me. In a way, maybe it'll give hope to those who know my story.

Sorry to get back onto the subject of dreams (it is a favourite of mine because they are so vivid during pregnancy) but last night I dreamed I had quintuplets! They were all tiny and struggling to feed so I gave them mashed up coco pops and milk! I am such a bad dream mum! Thankfully I know I'm carrying a healthy little singleton =)

bugoven · 05/02/2014 08:55

Also..... new symptom: twitching buttocks!?!?! Anyone else had this? So bizarre!

Carly6971 · 05/02/2014 10:19

Ok ladies need some hand holding. I have woken up this morning and there's bright red blood on the toilet paper :,( it seems to have gone now but does this mean the worst? I am sat here sobbing hubby is abroad on business and I have zero family close by :( x

BooSurprise · 05/02/2014 10:31

carly I can hand hold (whilst demolishing an entire packet of biscuits Blush
Red blood does not always mean the worst at all, lots of people have bleeds and still go on to have healthy pregnancies.
How many weeks are you? Any cramping? Have you seen a midwife yet, you might be able to GP/midwife/self refer to your local epu for reassurance or a early scan.

broodylicious · 05/02/2014 10:33

Lol at your dreams bug, that's so funny! Boo for your twitches though - I have a feeling that's how my sciatica started a few years back. It's quite common in pregnancy. Have you suffered before?

broodylicious · 05/02/2014 10:35

carly hand holding here, must be horrid being alone and frightened xx like boo says, might be worth calling docs for referral? Xx Thanks

isitme1 · 05/02/2014 10:56

Carly I hope all is well for you x

off to scan.... fx x
