tarka good journal with decent impact factor so pleased with that. Also means my supervisors will be off my back for quite a while now as that was the last paper they wanted to get published

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 16/01/2014 05:41

God I'm so bored of waking up still pregnant every day!!

Naturegirl82 · 16/01/2014 05:43

I feel your pain only. I had to get up as I was so hungry! I can see an afternoon nap being fitted into the schedule today!

Bluecarrot · 16/01/2014 06:07

No sleep at all as DP kept invading my space to cuddle me! Feeling dehydrated all if a sudden despite drinking a liter of water overnight,as well so going to have a dioralyte (sp?) now before my shower and heading to hospital.

Hoping to hear some birth news /stories this weekend ladies!

Naturegirl82 · 16/01/2014 06:18

Good luck blue hope it all goes well

littleraysofsunshine · 16/01/2014 06:43

Original due date today (from lmp) but got changed and stuck to 26.01.14 by scans. So won't expect much even though dp has a funny feeling about today.

I am feeling SO tired as this week, both dds have decided to wake up twice a night come into out bed and also wake up around 5:45-6:30. So I feel like panda eyes....

Baby has calmed down movements a small bit but not a lot. Not that that's any indication as I don't think my girls did much before birth

Good luck to everyone Smile

BuntCadger · 16/01/2014 07:59

Still here and still fairly reg ctx. been days a d nights now and I'm feeling tired. also little ones were both up last night.

who do I ask about fb group?

Percypiglet · 16/01/2014 08:25

Bunt I think Humpty is in charge of FB but she might (hopefully) be busy labouring!

Had really bad back ache in night (woke me up) and period type cramps occurring every 30 mins to 2 hours. Are these contractions? Everyone tells me "you'll know" when you are in labour.

BuntCadger · 16/01/2014 09:02

This is number 4 for me and I reckon early labour/latent phase. worried is due to baby's position or size as had this with ds1 and ds2 and they were back to back. dd progressed fast as she was cephalic with back to left side. I'm worried about being physically exhausted to manage second stage or that baby will become distressed. had pph with ds1 after labouring so long my uterus just went flacid post delivery and wouldn't contract back.

Hoping humpty is in labour or having newborn snuggles.

flyawayblue · 16/01/2014 09:32

Good luck today blue

bunt are you able to discuss with mw's on the phone as ctx have been days, or have a local check of how dilated you are and a chat? Hope things progress for you today.

Hope humpty is having baby cuddles or on her way Smile

Nothing happening here, seems to be my mantra everyday not sure what we'll do today but want to do something. Maybe cinema? Have my sweep booked for tomorrow morning, would love to go naturally first, but at least that might kick things off.

littleraysofsunshine · 16/01/2014 09:59

I had a long gear up with my girls with intense BH's. For weeks. Then the active labours where so fast. I think it's going to do the same this time. Only difference is dd1 waters were last thing, dd2 waters were first sign. What do you guys think this time?

Do you believe in baby's movements slowing before labour??

Naturegirl82 · 16/01/2014 10:38

I fell back asleep and had the most vivid dream my grandad died! Sad Woke up crying. Feel very out of sorts now.

Hope everyone else is having better days!

Angelesque · 16/01/2014 11:16

Hmmm, all the water has been cut off in the flat. No idea why. Haven't showered yet today so now feel like I can't leave the flat! Helpful.

MrsVDB · 16/01/2014 11:17

Still in bed :)

Good luck today blue and hope humpty is well on the way :)

bunt I second getting checked or having a chat, as you said you don't want to be shattered by the time it happens

I've had less movement last few days and also these tight public bone pains that take my breath away but not through the pain so I assume tightening inside?? Hoping he holds off until next Thursday when all my new appliances have arrived :)

Angelesque · 16/01/2014 11:19

Nature I hate dreams like that, they feel so real - preggo hormones make them worse I think. Get This Morning on to help you stop thinking about it!

littleray am FTM so not much exp to draw on - baby is actually moving more for me now, but it's not big hard kicks - more definite wriggles of a big, bored baby! Eek

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 16/01/2014 11:28

Not in labour, but thank you for good wishes.
Second sweep didn't work, had a few ctx, one massive one at 4am, then nothing.
Also had another weep over my body's inability to do this right.
Going in for induction tonight, you have to go in late, then stay in alone overnight for the pessaries. Oh, and visiting hours are v limited, one person 10-12.30, 2 people 2-8pm. I am totally and utterly dreading hours of early labour pains stuck in a ward with loads of strangers, with DH not allowed to be there.

TobyLerone · 16/01/2014 11:41

Good luck, humpty! It'll all be over soon, one way or another Flowers

BandontheFun · 16/01/2014 11:52

Hello! Hope everyone is good.

Good luck blue

Bunt maybe you should call and see, u must be knackerd.

Humpty snap, I have to go in tonight at 6, DH can stay until 10. Then if anything happens they will call him to come back in. Also Not looking forward to sharing a room with strangers.

See you guys on the other side. :)

MrsVDB · 16/01/2014 11:54

humpty as your mum said you must be too comfy. Try not to stress. I agree those visiting hours are awful. Our hospital is the same that you can't have 24 hr visitors until your in proper labour. Just try and get some sleep tonight maybe and take a good book/ films? As toby said at least it won't be long now until you meet your brand new baby

MrsVDB · 16/01/2014 11:55

Good luck also band we've been a bit slow on babies the last week or so so another 2 will be good :)

Felix90 · 16/01/2014 11:56

Good luck Humpty and Bandon. It will all be worth it in the end!

DP has gone back to work today after almost 4 weeks off Confused all going ok so far. It's pretty boring... Watching Jeremy Kyle and eating left over Christmas chocolates!

TobyLerone · 16/01/2014 11:58

Good luck, band!

Don't forget, ladies -- epidurals are not the devil! And that from me, who vowed never to have another one :o

Shroomboom · 16/01/2014 12:47

Good luck Humpty and Band, hope it all goes smoothly, and I can't wait to read the new baby news when they've arrived! Sounds like it won't be much fun in with a load of strangers, but hope that things progress quickly and that your dh's will be able to be with you Smile

Bunt you must be exhausted Sad I had two nights of contractions last week one of which was in hospital and by the time I came out I was like a zombie just from those two nights. Can't imagine how tired you must be feeling. Hope the baby makes an appearance soon.

Felix I watched JK too! It's my guilty pleasure at the moment, makes me get up in the mornings Grin

I'm now off to my health insurance office to fight for my maternity pay. I'm in Belgium so it's a bit different here and so far they are refusing to pay it Angry. DH said I should show up with my enormous tummy so they can't really refuse me again - I think they don't believe that I'm pregnant!

Looking forward to more baby news soon Smile

MrsVDB · 16/01/2014 12:48

Probably too late for most people but this website has stats on intervention, induction etc rates at your local hospital link

Quite interesting I think. My hospital is pretty average

AnotherStitchInTime · 16/01/2014 12:58

Good luck humpty and bandon, sure you will be fine. My DH couldn't really do much to help me in early labour anyway, I found it much easier to concentrate on my own.

nature that must have been an awful dream to experience. My lovely MIL always said dreams of death mean the opposite, new life xx

blue hope all those contractions have been doing something, good luck at the hospital today.

felix hope all goes well on your first day without DP. Try to get out once a day for a walk or a baby group when it is fine, you can go a bit stir crazy on your own with a baby all day.

Tarka hope the mastitis is getting better, it is truly horrible, you poor thing x

Hope everyone else is ok and coping with pregnancy aches and pains or hungry newborns x

So took Mason to jaundice clinic on Tuesday, a lovely midwife who looked after me on the antenatal ward was there. She was not worried about him as he is alert and feeding, but as the white of his eyes is still a tinge yellow she took some blood for testing. She also weighed him, he has put on over 300g in the last week, guzzler!
