fly I wouldn't worry too much. The other day I got measured at 40cm in morning then 37 cm in afternoon. Pretty sure it's not very accurate

Had my 39w apt this morning with useless doctor. Again didn't measure me or feel my tummy at all. Got midwife on Monday for 40w apt (yes I know that's ridiculous) so will hopefully get more info then. Also hoping to discuss birth plan as haven't talked about it at all

Spent the last couple of hours in ikea and now can hardly walk. And they didn't even have the brackets I need to put up shelves in baby room so ill have to come back next week

TobyLerone · 17/01/2014 12:34

I was measured in labour and I measured 34cm. Not a word was said about it.

Angelesque · 17/01/2014 12:47

Fly had MW appt this morning and growth curve has slowed a little for me - am putting it down to stopping the Christmas pigging out... Interesting to hear about outpatient inductions...

MrsVDB you are v brave doing a few hours in IKEA! I can only manage about half an hour of walking now before my back gets too sore...

BuntCadger · 17/01/2014 13:13

consultant phoned me and I'm to have scan tomorrow to male sure placenta etc all good still. He was lovely Smile

where is everyone from? would be nice to try and have a meet up when all babies here and settled x

Angelesque · 17/01/2014 13:15

Bunt I'm in Manchester... Think I am miles from most of you! Will have to join in spirit Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 17/01/2014 13:28

band yup! can't lie down! can't sit anywhere except with significant pain, walking is worst of all, feels like my pelvis is cracking.
Pains are constant then ramp up for a minute or so every three or four minutes. TENS was working and let me lie down and then go for a good long walk up and down five flights of stairs, but now not really working so well.
If this is just pessary pains then fuck me the pessary is the work of satan.

MrsGSR · 17/01/2014 13:30

Nothing happened when I stood up. (TMI) I soaked through two pantyliners this morning but the third is still dry after a few hours so not really sure what to think!

BookTart · 17/01/2014 13:49

Did you keep the pads mrsg? I took mine to the hospital where they confirmed my waters had gone (eventually, after the first midwife told me it was wee Hmm )

enormouse · 17/01/2014 14:09

bunt, blue and I are in northern Ireland. So it might take some organisation. But I'd be up for it (with a lot of notice).

Halfway through essay 2. Dp bought me a tube of pringles to keep going. Am having a few hours off to have a break before I get back to it.
Have gotten slight eye ache from using the laptop so I'll read through the thread properly and type a better response in a bit. Smile

Hi all, just quickly catching up! Thank you to everyone else who has given me bf advice last night/this morning. I've fed her expressed milk today as I'm dreading bf if it hurts again. Going to have another try on the next feed and send an email to the bf councillor lady.

Bunt I am in Leeds so probably miles from everyone else!

Sending positive vibes to the induction ladies!! Grin

BuntCadger · 17/01/2014 14:48

We are spread out! I'm. near Southampton

Felix90 · 17/01/2014 14:57

Hmmm just bf her now and it's gone back to not hurting! I'm so confused Shock

TobyLerone · 17/01/2014 15:00

That's good, felix. Maybe keep taking it one feed at a time?

flyawayblue · 17/01/2014 15:09

All fine though scan puts baby in the large side though sonographer said there's a 20% error on weight measurements taken this late. Hoping not a 9.5lb baby!

Now just need to convince her to come out...

Hope all the inductions are going well.

Felix90 · 17/01/2014 15:53

Toby I think that's the best way! I'm going to drop the formula feed she's been having tonight and see if I can manage to solely bf her through to tomorrow. One day at a time! Just need to stop getting so stressed over it all and calm down Shock

Felix90 · 17/01/2014 15:53

Flying I've read before that the estimated weights are usually way out so I wouldn't worry Smile

fryingpantoface · 17/01/2014 15:54

I'm from Bolton, so Manchester way.

humpty i felt the same, labour wasn't anything like the pessary pain. You could ask the midwife to check you?

i think we may have two Facebook groups. I'm in one Bunt made and there's five of us, is there another?

MrsVDB · 17/01/2014 16:14

I'm in a fb group humpty made, there's quite a few of us

Angelesque · 17/01/2014 16:25

I'm in the one Humpty made too - think there's about 15 of us

BuntCadger · 17/01/2014 16:32

can I join humpty fb group then please :) ill PM my RL name

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 17/01/2014 16:53

Congrats Gummi! How exciting!

Felix hope the bf works out - I found I had ups and downs but after the first few weeks we really settled. Definitely get some advice if you still find it painful and I second the advice to see a Dr straight away if you feel any lumps or hotness/fever etc. I had mild mastitis twice last time around and it was no fun feeding through it I can tell you!

Lalunya85 · 17/01/2014 17:09

Also nothing here - and hello again everyone, it's been ages!

I'm due on the 24th, and my next MW appointment is on 25th. Last time I saw her was at 38 weeks and baby was a "little bit engaged". This doesn't really mean anything though, does it? No one can tell how long this is going to take now!

I'm still working (from home though!), so at least that's keeping my mind off things. And I seem to be experiencing a strange surge of energy - I walked over an hour yesterday, and went for a long swim on Tuesday, with lots of cooking (dinner freezing) in between. I even ate a whole pineapple in two days, but still nothing at all! I don't think I've even had Braxton Hicks...

Happy weekend everybody, hope things start for some of you!

MrsGSR · 17/01/2014 17:27

I threw the pads away, book as they looked identical to the one I took to hospital on Wednesday, which was apparently just discharge. I think I'm going to have to wait and see if anything else happens.

lalunya A burst of energy might be a sign! I haven't even had that yet, it's taken a lot of effort to do the dishes and put some washing on!

BookTart · 17/01/2014 17:38

gummi I totally missed your news! Congratulations, I'm so pleased for you :)

littleraysofsunshine · 17/01/2014 17:40

I'm not on any FB page yet? Smile
