Omg I could actually cry. Confused

Got my midwife appt at 1:20, and my SPd has come back by just getting out the car. I can't walk ! Hmm

BandontheFun · 13/01/2014 13:04

That's good news Bunt

Ohh...good luck Gummi

Came to my mums today to get me out the house, plus if my waters go my mums couch is leather and she had no carpets...which would be a bonus! Probably strange how I am stressing about waters getting on my fabric sofa and carpets, may have to take to sitting on one of those massive pad things! Although at this point i would take the cleaning bill. Also will prob be the last time i'm here for dinner for a while. Which seems strange...like everything is going to change pretty soon! :) exciting times.

BuntCadger · 13/01/2014 14:16

I wouldnt worry too much about waters breaking. With both ds I had mine artificially ruptured and with dd mine didn't go until first push and then it was only 2 or 3 pushes for her to be born. X

littleraysofsunshine · 13/01/2014 14:28

My SPD/pelvic pain is unbelievable and I literally can't walk. Midwife appt just now and she said baby's head is so low now 1/5palpable, and my no muscle tone isn't helping. so it's just adding more pressure.

Braxton hicks keep coming but not regular, but I am getting lots of pressure down there & in my bum!
If it gets worse maternity will need to check me.

I had back ache with dd2 but nothing like this. Three pregnancies in 3.5yrs is taking till I think where I have muscle separation.

She said she doesn't think it'll be long but I never know what to think as my dds were 5 & 9 days over. She's told me to rest and try get family support at home.. Not sure how and also started nursery run this morning ... Don't think I'll manage it tomorrow already Hmm

Mythreeknights · 13/01/2014 14:35

Having had gentle contractions through the night which stopped this morning, I'm now feeling slightly period pain-y and a little nauseous (could be the chocolate I wolfed down at lunch)...so I'm also gunning for a 14.1.14 birthday for my little one. Feeling like I'm 'getting closer' (which is a ridiculous comment seeing as of course every day we are all getting closer). But YKWIM.

littleraysofsunshine · 13/01/2014 14:44

Do any of you have a 'funny feeling' what birthdate your baby will have? Sounds bizarre I know lol

I don't really... Just hoping to not be overdue..

Dd1 was 27th of a month and dd2 30th of a month and I'm due on 26th, so maybe then would be a cool date. Dp thinks the 16th no idea why

BuntCadger · 13/01/2014 16:55

little Sad sorry you're in pain. hopefully won't be much longer for you.

three - I'm having 'cope-able' Ctx here still. also feel 'funny' but I'm not convinced it's actually happening at all I don't think 8 be properly realised that there's gonna be another little one here.

Naturegirl82 · 13/01/2014 17:06

Sorry little that your spd is back

bunt hopefully the ctx lead somewhere

I'm still feeling rough. Been asleep most of the day but haven't managed to shift this headache. Taken some paracetamol but it isn't helping. Feeling very sorry for myself Sad

GummiBear74 · 13/01/2014 17:43

Grin bunt and band - it was only 24 hours ago that my waters went in a big gush, so it could happen to you!

bunt, my EDD is actually tomorrow, but unless I go into labour spontaneously fairly soon or the pessary works really fast tomorrow, I reckon it'll be Wednesday instead.

Sorry about the spd, little. I haven't had anything like that, but my ligaments under my bump are really sensitive to any sign that I might be overdoing it and are right now making me suffer for my walk to the park.

enormouse · 13/01/2014 17:46

little does heat/painkillers/a nice bath help? It makes a bit of a difference with my sciatica in that it relieves the stiffness. I had hoped that the baby would arrive on my granddad's birthday (5th jan) but it was a very secret, unrealistic hope. The due date is the 22nd.

bunt and mythree fx for you both.

Dp has just brought the crib stand up from his parents (weirdly stand was there, crib is here). Ds has turned the base into a den. He's sat in it with a book, a few cars, some other toys and daddy's kindle. When it was his crib he loathed it and refused to sleep in it. Now he won't get out of it.

MerryPops · 13/01/2014 18:01

Sorry to everyone feeling rough today. I am plodding along, kinda wish I had left some baby tasks to my mat leave as I've not got anything left to do. Hope baby doesn't go over, I will have really ran out of entertainment by then!

On the subject of birth dates, I don't care when he arrives, as long as it's not 26th (due 24th) aa it's mil's birthday and I know she will then want joint birthday parties for the next umpteen years. She is lovely but quite full on so def can't be doing with that. Will be frantically trying to get baby moving beforehand and if no joy crossing my legs that day!

HabitualHobbyist · 13/01/2014 18:25

Well, today is my revised EDD but still no signs of baby making an appearance. Would very much like things to speed up as I've had a trapped nerve behind my hip for the last few days, on top of general hip/pelvis/back pains and carpal tunnel syndrome. Sad

Managed a short walk this morning and thought I was having a show, but it turned out to be just increased discharge. Really really don't want to go too far over as I've already been put back by 10 days from my dates and this is starting to feel like a 10 months pregnancy. Shock

Great to see more babies arriving and others going from strength to strength.

MrsGSR · 13/01/2014 19:16

Haven't caught up properly as struggling a bit emotionally atm! Hope everyone is doing ok Flowers

Re birth dates, I have a feeling baby will turn up on the 19th, the first anniversary of mums death (due 15th).

Bluecarrot · 13/01/2014 19:43

MrsGSR we are all here to listen if you want to get stuff off your chest x

Had v active afternoon today -walking local shopping center for 4 hours ( too cold and wet to go outside as I don't have maternity coat!) then 45 lengths of the local pool. Belly feels heavier but now I can't feel baby move at all so lying down a wee while. Oh! Just got a big movement as I finished typing that!

BuntCadger · 13/01/2014 19:58

in a way that would be v special mrsg, like a ray of light.

regular Ctx here getting closer and stronger but still in denial as hate to rock up to ward to be told I'm ages away. about every 5-8 min apart now. worried how ds2 and dd will manage if I'm not here. Also can't talk direct to ward as some stupid automated central call line now Hmm

Shroomboom · 13/01/2014 20:04

Sorry to join so late - I have been lurking since getting a BFP but didn't want to join for fear of jinxing things Blush

I'm 38+2 so due on the 25th, and I feel like I know you all already! Your chatting has been keeping me sane over the last 34 weeks Grin This is an IVF baby after over five years of trying for number 2. Have had lots of miscarriages/losses so it's been a pretty rocky road.

MrsGSR so sorry to hear about your mum Sad Your post prompted me to finally post, as the 19th is the anniversary of my mums death too (4 years ago though) and I feel a bit funny about the baby possibly arriving on that date. Her birthday would've been yesterday so I was secretly hoping that that would be the day.

Good luck to everyone with ctx and waters gone, this time does seem to drag doesn't it! On Thurs I was 3cm dilated and plug had gone but have only had painless contractions since then so feel like it'll never happen!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 13/01/2014 20:59

shroom welcome! Sorry to hear about your sad anniversary coming up, and you, MrsG.

little sorry you're in pain.

Well, long walk today has put me back into intermittent ctx, but more painful than last time, and anywhere from 7 to 20 mins apart. Have decided on a walk after dinner goes down, as I am not letting these ctx go to waste! I'll get this baby out by hook or by crook!

Mythreeknights · 13/01/2014 21:14

Ohhumpty I really thought you would have your bouncing baby by now! Hope the walk goes well and gets things moving.

mrsgsr and shroom sorry to hear of forthcoming anniversaries, I hope your bear up and manage to keep smiling.

bunt no pressure but sounds like you might well be next...! I am back onto irregular BHs no period pains, meh.

blue am seriously impressed by your sporting endeavours. I'd be worried about leaking amniotic fluid into the pool and being trailed with purple dye...!

littlealien01 · 13/01/2014 21:41

so due date is tomorrow and so far...nothing.

not a single bh or contraction. no plug, no waters, nothing to suggest baby intends on moving.

no big issues so cant complain but im getting more paranoid by the day and just want baby to be here now.

Bluecarrot · 13/01/2014 22:13

Mythree* I considered the possibility of leakage but I was careful with my hips and was v gentle overall. Was prob more at risk while attempting to wrestle clothes back on afterwards... Besides, pretty sure I'm going to be pregnant forever. I am enjoying the bump though. Even though my tanking top can no longer contain it!

shroom I've been having BH so strong that other people can notice them through tight clothes for the last few weeks. For the last 10ish days they have been regular at 5-6 minutes apart. I'm 41 weeks today!

Angelesque · 13/01/2014 22:35

Completely random but has anyone seen the adverts for some film called "Devils Due"?! WTF?!! Not what I want to see at 38 weeks preggo! Channel 5 seem to want to run the ad every 10 seconds this evening... Horrible, horrible, horrible!

No signs of baby arrival here either ladies... Just a huge rippling stomach; feel like I'm getting bruised from the inside!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 13/01/2014 22:41

nature if your headache hasn't cleared soon! I think you should,d ring the mw. It can be a sign of BP problems. Poor you, hugs.

shroom I just re read your post! this baby must be so special for you.

mythree so did I! Oh well, it will come. Walk just now has kicked me back to 10 min apart ctx, so fx for overnight! Feeling v positive all of a sudden, even if this is more latent phase and doesn't go anywhere.

angel I saw that ad, it's vile. Angry

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 13/01/2014 22:41

blue we can be pregnant forever together! I was also v impressed with the walking and swimming. V active!

sarahleanne · 13/01/2014 23:07
