Olivo - meant to say I dont know what our baby's heart rate has been any of the times its been checked, they've never mentioned it.

melsy · 14/06/2006 09:27

morning all

Not sure were the days have gone, really suffered over the weekend with the heat, couldnt even bare to sit in the sun at all. Im very pale and get heat rash at the best of times.

Im not sure if some of you will want to read my thread on my whacky therapy , but I had the 1st session of it yesterday and feeling quite zonked from it today, cant rest today , as have to get dd to nursury and then have another appt for soomething else. It would be good to talk to people about it , but I dont think many people have experienced it.

Micku5 , sorry to hear about the GD xx
eeny , lets hope baby turns hey, have you read about women giving birth naturally using hypnobirthing with breach babies?

Bhm , we looked at the prammette in M&P at the weekend, isnt it an amazing product. I love how its like a flat pram and then a buggy. It was around £300, plus £150 for the car seat , plus £50 for muff , raincovers etc , so came out at £500+ as you need all the gear really . How does that compare to kiddisave??? We just dont know what to do , as spent £500 on our Jane matrix carrera system 3 yrs ago, but its getting a bad rap on here , as its a carry cot that goes in the car.

dressedupnowheretogo · 14/06/2006 11:23

eenywifemum · 14/06/2006 12:33

Here, have a look at \link{http://www.wprc.org/image/photos/32weeks433x368.jpg\this} everyone – thought you’d like it!

eenywifemum · 14/06/2006 12:50

Melsy I'll check out your other thread - glad the process has started for you. The heat has been bothering me as well, even though I like it in theory, I've been feeling really faint if I cant cool down. Salamander got me one of those hand held handbag sized fans - it's AWESOME!!! get one!! This one was from Sainsburys, for Sport Relief.

I havent read about hypnobirthing & breech births, but I will look it up! I know he has plenty of time to move so while I am not overly worried I am just researching it a little, just in case, because I have had a strong feeling he would be breech for a while. Hoping I am very wrong though! We'll see in 3 weeks where he is!! July 4th is our next appointment.

Booby your MIL sounds annoying saying all that to you! What's the point? Does it do any good? No! I'm sure you wont have any problems feeding.

I am JUST managing to keep the house looking alright (Salamander does housework too by the way) but the last few days I just cant be bothered to do anything. I just feel PREGNANT and HOT. Today I will get some stuff done though, I have to!

Sorry about your pool booby!

Salamander · 14/06/2006 12:54

Don't tell them I do housework!!!

I never lift a finger!

I'm far too busy down the pub, watching football, whistling at girls, blah blah blah....

olivo · 14/06/2006 13:24

eeny , that picture is so cool!

having a puky day today - came into work late but still feeling very nauseous - still, only two hours to go!

glad I'm not the only one who is boycotting housework - i do the majority in our house but just cant be bothered at the momen, and as dh isnt there, it isnt being done!!

more comments about my size, how many in there this morning - grrrrrr!

booby - grrr to mother-in-laws! actually mine is really nice but dh tells me she's scared of me Grin - she thinks i'm 'strong-willed' - she hasnt seen anything yet Wink

pucca · 14/06/2006 13:33

Hi everyone Smile

Chin up everybody, not long to go now...she says being totally fed up lol Grin

I am 30 + 4 today, feel like a big fat heifer! and full of a summer cold, yuck! I went to MW yesterday and i am now measuring 3 weeks more, i.e measuring 33 weeks instead of 30 Shock.

I am having a 4D scan on Friday, so excited!! and i can't wait.

Is anyone else feeling sickly? i feel like i did at the beginning, like morning sickness all over again, not nice! Have been feeling quite faint too, i seriously cannot wait to get my body back to feeling kind of normal again.

eenywifemum · 14/06/2006 13:53

Olivo & Pucca sorry you are feeling sick!! It's awful isnt it. Glad you liked the pic Olivo, I cant stop looking at it thinking 'I've got one of those in there!'

Pucca I am Envy over your 4D scan but really happy for you!!! WOW!! I bet you are counting the minutes! What does it mean that you are measuring so big? Big baby? Early birth?

BigHotMama · 14/06/2006 14:20

Afternoon girls, hope your all well. Smile

Micku/Booby the chairs are worth every penny, not as good-looking as the Duraglide but they do the same thing for a 3rd of the price.

Melsy, had a right bargain the pramette and car seat cost around £370 so definatley cheaper and the car seat is the new design with extra head support. have only heard good stuff about them as know a few mums who already have one.

DH is spoiling me at the moment, I allowed him to have 2 weeks holiday off work so he can watch the world cup games but he is also doing the housework and cooking, even cooked my breakfast and prepared my lunchbox the last 2 days so its like I'm been waited on. Dont your sarnies taste nicer when somebody else does them?

I never even see my MIL, apart from when we bump into her at Asda - How sad is that? She has never rang us since I've been PG to see how things are going or if we need anything? She is a strange one! Shock

Snowboo, midwife said mine's gonna be a big'un too, but that dont necessarily mean C section. I know people who have had 8-9 lber's naturally. Just hope mine hasnt got a pumpkin head like me, then there could be a problem! I think I'd rather have an episiotomy tbh.

Olivo, ignore all the comments, I suppose we all get them everyday. I get 'are you sure its not twins?' How original! Its the one stage in my life where I havent got to breath my belly in all the time so am gonna enjoy it while I can! Grin

BigHotMama · 14/06/2006 14:23

Oh Pucca are you finding out the sex at your scan? Can only describe it as one of the most amazing things you'll ever see. You'll have to get your piccy put on here for us to see. How exciting! I look at mine everyday and smile Smile

purpleturtle · 14/06/2006 15:17

MW has been this afternoon, and reassured me that baby has loads of time to turn round, and plenty of space to do it in Grin. (On account of being 3rd baby)

There's big babies, and big babies, I reckon. Mine were both over 8 and a half pounds, and I didn't even use gas and air for the 2nd one. Surely you'd want to be expecting at least a 10 pounder before you resigned yourself to a C-section?

BigHotMama · 14/06/2006 15:21

PT I'm intrigued?? How did you cope without any pain relief on your 2nd? Was it a short labour then? Wow! Shock

purpleturtle · 14/06/2006 15:23

Birthing pool.

Labour was about 6 hours. I spent most of it sitting on a ball, with my head down, attempting to relax through contractions. Only got into pool about 15 mins before delivery, due to hot water 'issues' (boiler broke Shock).

Presumably, I have a high pain threshold. And nice wide hips. Grin

BigHotMama · 14/06/2006 15:34

You make it sound so easy? I'm hoping for waterbirth too and may go get me a birthing ball. Did you take your own?
I've always knew my child bearing hips would come in handy one day, here's hoping! Grin

eenywifemum · 14/06/2006 15:50

PT I love hearing birth stories like that - gives me hope I will get the water birth I want!

BHM glad you're getting spoiled!

purpleturtle · 14/06/2006 17:03

The midwife provided the birthing ball on each occasion. All part of the fantastic service in this bit of Sheffield. Smile They aren't particularly expensive though, if you do have to get your own.

I confess to having planned an epidural for the first birth, and then discovering that it wasn't as horrific as I'd expected. In fact, when dd was born, my first words were something like 'I hesitate to say that was easy, but I'd do it again'!

Of course, we all know plenty of women for whom childbirth isn't straightforward, so please don't think I'm being glib, or boastful. It's just that sometimes I think we concentrate on loads of negative stuff at the expense of the positive, and for me, giving birth has only been a positive experience (so far...).

aprilgirl1 · 14/06/2006 19:54

havent been on ina while , been off on 2 weeks hoilday ( nit anywhere nce just not at work)
well all is fine here, baby is breech but got few weeks before they start worrying 31+3 and its really starting to hit home that im going to have a baby!! bedroom is all done and dusted... looks gorgeous.. just my little babs missing!!
getting relly bad pains in the left hip so im off to see physio at the hospital for some sort of belt to lift my bump?????
im still REALLY small i just dont look nearly 8 months gone ( probs about 5 ) and im sick of people saing your really small for how far on you are.... ive checked with midwife and baby is perfect size just im not carrying very big.... but gutted as i wanted a massive massive bump..... but suppose less to shed once the little one is here...... anyway going to try and make my way through this new thread and see how everyone is.... take care xx

SnowBoo · 14/06/2006 20:25

Just thinkng about C-section if baby is breech. If not then i'm happy to push. Just had g&a with ds as hate needles and rather the pain. Will have episiotomy again if it speeds things up. (Ds's head got a bit stuck!)

Dh was 9lb 8oz at birth but his mumis 5'10", i'm only 5'4" so its a myth big mum big baby, small mum small baby!!!! Bloody old wives tales....

Opps, baby has just moved and i can feel and see the outline of his head between my ribs!! Weird and painful....

Misty10 · 14/06/2006 21:20

Hi everyone,
1st time on this week, have been so tired. Am 32 weeks today. Saw midwife, babes heart beat 143 per min, which is average, babes size is average and my blood pressure remains low ... this is all extremely good progress for me and my 1st babes, me bein diabetic an all !

I have another scan next week, so the growth may indicate if I will be allowed to go to 39 weeks as planned.

I finish work on the 30th June, hooray !

Got a baby tens machine on Saturday from a brilliant hire company, ordered it the friday afternoon, and it was here Sat morning .... I have had it on a couple of times and seems to do the job for the aches I have due to a pulled ligament in my left side. Community midwife says you are not supposed to have em before 37 weeks in case it starts off labour, but she also said if it helps the pain to have it on for an hour on an hour off ....

I have booked a massage for next week so see if that helps the aches and pains, if not it will be a nice pamper session !!

Continuing with the aqua areobics for as long as I can, but bump getting extrememly big and sometimes a bit uncomfy walking the dog I must say... gotta try and stay fit tho I guess.

I have terrible heat rash all over by belly last week and although it seems to have gone it is still there under the surface and it wakes me up at night ... slept in spare room last night, but didnt much like being away from lovely hubby !

See's ya
Misty

eenywifemum · 14/06/2006 22:32

Aprilgirl - here is a little hope for you (if you want to get really big) I have a friend who was 'normal' size and then her bump got HUGE in the last few weeks - so you never know you might get your big bump yet!

SnowBoo - I have looked into it and decided I want a c-section if baby is breech. I know some women are fine with delivering breech babies vaginally but it is just not for me. I DO NOT want a c-section - I want my lovely waterbirth with all the trimmings... but I just can not face the idea of a breech vaginal delivery. I think it is too dangerous for me and the baby not to mention asking too much pain-wise.

Misty - glad everything is ok with you & your baby in relation to your diabetes! Hope it stays that way!

pucca · 14/06/2006 22:47

Eeny...Think it will be a biggish baby anyway as dd was almost 9lb, they have done a customised growth chart going off what dd weighed and if i carry on measuring what i am now, this baby will prob be a 10lb'er Shock but not too worried because i don't have to push this one out Wink having a elective c-section because i had a 3rd degree tear with dd and still have a few outstanding probs with toilet issues 2.5 years on Blush which i have been told i will have to be "repaired" once i have this one.

BHM...Yes i am very excited about the scan on Friday Grin i already know the sex, having a boy this time but will get them to double check lol Smile

muminaquandary · 15/06/2006 10:25
