SnowBoo · 06/06/2006 21:19

Oh and no, haven't even thought about my hosp bag! 32weeks on Friday so i guess i should....

Arabica · 06/06/2006 21:29

Hosp bags? Already? Isn't it a bit early? I suppose am just assuming I won't go into labour before C-section date and can pack bag night before.

YellowFeathers · 06/06/2006 21:48

I have bought everything for the hospital but the bag I wanted to pack, dh will be taking on a course he has to do at the begining of next month.
Grrrrr!

Sarahlou, my mat allowance has taken 3 weeks but apparently that was because of a back log. I did ring them a few times too.

Melsy, I'll check out your thread tomorrow. Having an early night tonight Smile

I've figured out why I've been feeling a bit lightheaded and funny too. I thought it was strange how it was only happening in the mornings and going off around lunchtime and its to do with my bowel movements Blush
So I don't know wether baby is laying or pushing/kicking in that area but that is certainly what is causing it!
Going to speak to the MW about it as its really peeing me off now. Every morning I feel crap.

Anyone else get this or is it just me and my weird body?

olivo · 07/06/2006 08:58

Snow boo - i can sympathise -my 'morning' sickness has come back too, although as before, not just in the morning. i hate being sick Angry!

My school are allowing me to go in late now twice a week till the end of term, which is great. As long as i am in by the time i have to actually teach, they are happy with that so can sleep in a bit on a tues and wed.makes a huge difference and should help me last till the end of term.

Am going to try to do some concerted 'baby/hospital bag shopping ' this weekend, with all this talk of bags and getting ready.

hope everyone is well. x

dressedupnowheretogo · 07/06/2006 09:50

ive had to get a friend to employ me for two weeks so i can get my mat allowance as i fell two weeks short Angry

so we are giving him 200 quid to pay me 200 quid for two weeks work it took them a week to tell me i needed more od i would only get incap benf which is 60 quid for 6 weeks

28/1 today scary how quick this last trimmester has gone am havin three weetabix every morning so no problems with my bowels but still seeing stars every now and again

melsy · 07/06/2006 10:01

Morning all 30 wks today , how scary. Havent even bought anything or washed anythign for bag to be packed , may be I need to start getting it sorted this weekend. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKK

Yellow , could you just be dizzy from getting up ? May be it is bowell related, sounds yuck though. It seems may be you are suffering low blood sugar 1st thing, may be have some digestives by the bed to munch before you get up. Would a flask of something sugary stay hot all night ???

Booby What a palarva about allowance , glad you have it sort of sorted though !

Ive got the jitters and Im not sure what it is, I feel all out of sorts. May be its due to having my 3rd session with phsyche today. I dont know , but I just couldnt sleep last night and feel quite teary today. 3rd day more or less alone with dd and if not Ive been alone during nursury hrs too. Feel a bit lonely. Just cant seem to sort my head out and make arrangments with other mummies.

Arabica · 07/06/2006 10:26

Don't worry Melsy. You should see how unsorted I am. My flat is completely upside down, with builders on the roof and in the attic, painters in the kitchen and DS' room and our belongings covered in dust and squeezed into living room. Items purchased for baby: 1 buggy. Other items ready for baby: 0!!! I think there might be an old babygro in a cupboard somewhere. Mine is definitely not allowed to be early!

dressedupnowheretogo · 07/06/2006 10:40

melsy im only sorted due to not working and first baby craziness we bought nearly everything in the sales at xmas i wasnt even 6 weeks at the time

i get exactly the same when seeing doctors and will definatley be like this when i have to go to my pyche appt in july as ive got another consultant to see so should be interesting can you ring your mw when you feel low or your mum my mil has been really good just listening to me and going mmmmm ahhh ohh right its been very helpful

sending you big hugs >>>

PinkTulips · 07/06/2006 11:01

31 weeks and had my hospital appointment this morning. apparently baby is 4/5 engaged which would explain why he feels like he's about to fall out! odd though as dd was only 3/5 engaged at my doctors appointment 2 days before giving birth and i thought second babies weren't supposed to drop down til labour?

Arabica · 07/06/2006 11:36

I think they change position a lot at this stage, don't they? So it might disengage itself.

PinkTulips · 07/06/2006 11:43

he seems to be well settled where he is! doctor semed a bit surprised too. o well, at least he's in the right position if he is planning on making a break for it Wink

OP posts:
Salamander · 07/06/2006 11:47

How can you tell if the baby is in position?
Eeny has been trying to work out what the heck little Alex is doing?!?!

purpleturtle · 07/06/2006 11:50

sarahlou - are you free Friday lunchtime? Meet up in the Botanical Gardens...

YellowFeathers · 07/06/2006 12:07

Hi everyone.

Not feeling good today. Had to get my SIL round at 7am this morning to stay with me as I felt so crap and then managed to get dh who had only just arrived at work, so he had to turn round and come home!
Dr is coming out to see me between 12-3 so I hope he can tell me why I feel so shit (sorry).
Baby isn't moving very much and wasn't yesterday so I have a feeling hes going to send me in for monitoring.
So if I'm not here for a while you know where I am!

Just thought I'd come on here and try and take my mind off it.

Sorry for ranting.

PinkTulips · 07/06/2006 12:17

oh poor Feathers Sad hope everythings ok. babies probably not moving much coz your feeling sick, i know mine always seems to go to sleep when i'm sick. hope he comes soon and puts your mind at rest.

feel better babe {{{hugs}}}

Salamander · 07/06/2006 12:18

Hi Yellow,

sorry to hear how bad you feel.
I'm sure everything will be ok with baby.
They have quiet days - Eeny has had periods of inactivity on and off throughout.

Hopefully they can doppler you to put your mind at ease.

Salamander · 07/06/2006 12:21

Oh yes that's the other thing I should have said.

That's right - every time Eeny has been sick, Alex has been 'silent'.

But in actual fact it's probably that the mumy's sensitivity to the feeling is dampened by the ickiness... Sad

olivo · 07/06/2006 12:30

sorry to hear that yellow. hope they are able to reassure you.
My baby has had a couple of quiet days too and i'm starting to get a bit worried - even my early mornign kit kat didnt stir him or her. did i read some where that a sugery drink might do the job? shold i try a carton of ribena? anoyone know of any other way i can try and get a reaction?

Salamander · 07/06/2006 12:44

Olivo

there's allsorts you can try
rolling around
eating something freezing cold/hot
drinking something freezing cold/hot
walking
lying on your side, then flipping
playing music to your bump

but we've found that soemtimes if he doesn't want to move, he doesn't move!

obstinate little fellas aren't they?

Salamander · 07/06/2006 12:47

Saw Jersey on Location Location Location last night.

Looked lovely!!!!!

melsy · 07/06/2006 12:52

ah yellow , Im sorry your having a difficult morning. Hope they find all is well when Dr comes. x

YellowFeathers · 07/06/2006 12:52

I find if I rest my cuppa on my bump that sparks a kick or two.

Either that or just having a good poke about Grin

SnowBoo · 07/06/2006 12:53

I'm 32weeks on Fri and baby has definately dropped! When i look down my bump looks small til i get a glimpse in a shop window! Its swinging about on my knees....

Yellow, hope all goes well with dr. My bump has quiet times and also sometimes you can't always feel them playing.

YellowFeathers · 07/06/2006 12:54

Well I've just been kicked that hard that my boobs have almost hit me in the face

soooo I think he is ok Grin

melsy · 07/06/2006 13:02
