afternoon! just come back from the hospital and my anti-d. had a bit of a stressy moment when they phoned to find i wasnt on the anti-d list so had to see midwife then doctor, then get it 'prescribed' then given. was worried i wasnt going to get it as they have recently stopped offering it here, but I had 'got in' before the deadline!
anyway, all done, didnt hurt at all and dh surprised me by turning up so he got to hear the heartbeat which was nice.

off to pick my dad up from the airport in a bit - last visitors before the baby arrives - house is potless for once Grin!

arabica - glad you have heard back from the hospital.

katylou - congrats on the walking!Smile

booby - how was it?

Arabica · 01/06/2006 15:29

That's right yellowf. Went around to my friend's place--she had baby on Saturday. She's in her bed with baby, recovering from stitches and urine infection and all she needs at the moment is a nursing bra, a supply of nappies, a few muslins, some cotton wool and water for cleaning baby, a changing mat, a large supply of chocolate biscuits, and some cranbery juice! Oh and a few babygros for the little one.

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 15:38

Is she recovering well?

dressedupnowheretogo · 01/06/2006 16:01

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 16:16

Someone on here is selling them or do you mean ebay?

I'd love to but I don't think I could hack it now tbh. My Sil would love to go again. We all really enjoyed it.
Baby must still be head down as it hurts like hell to walk!

BigHotMama · 01/06/2006 16:42

I am finding it hard to walk at my normal pace and when getting out my chair at work have to take it real slow and even feels like I need to pick my belly up and carry it lol!
Also behind my belly button feels really tender today..has anybody's belly button popped out? I have a really deep one normally and it' gradually getting more closer to the surface...hate belly buttons yuk!

eenywifemum · 01/06/2006 16:46

booby and olivo glad you got the anti-d's over with and they werent too bad!

BHM my belly button is still an innie - I am charting its progress though!

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 16:47

Yep, mines out Grin

Have also now aquired a fetching strech mark just above it (so much for Palmers cocoa butter cream!) but I'm not all that bothered about it as it looks like a scar so I might make up a cool over the top story about me having a bad accident whilst doing something wild and mad like sky diving or something, lol!

PinkTulips · 01/06/2006 17:08

mines gone flat, except when theres a foot sticking out of it!

dd is getting more and more attached to the bump. she normally never sits still for a minute but she quite happily lies down listening to the bump for 10-15 mins at a time, and when we're in the supermarket she keeps leaning out of the trolly to kiss and hug the bump. just hope she's half as good when babas on the outside..... wishful thinking or what?

Yellow, your lucky your dh is the tough one with dd, mines a wimp so i'm always the bitch when it comes to dicipline or routines, drives me mad!

I've got my Asda shopping being delivered tomorrow between 11-1pm and I've ordered a brand new sponge Grin

So I might declare my absence from here between those hours as I will otherwise be engaged Grin

God, I can smell the sponge as I type......

eenywifemum · 01/06/2006 18:22

what does it mean when someone on mumsnet says 'snap' and that's it on a post?

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 18:24

Me too
The same

You know the kids card game Snap, where you shout snap when you both play the same cards?

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 18:24

Hows your snotty nose btw? Grin

Arabica · 01/06/2006 21:16

hey, I just made my first baby purchase! Baby might be going home from hospital in a tesco bag due to my failure to shop, but at least he or she will be riding in style in a spanking new buggy, care of ebay!

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 21:22

Wahey! Grin

Wotcha get?

Arabica · 01/06/2006 21:29

YellowFeathers · 01/06/2006 21:30

Very nice!

and theres nothing wrong with a Tescos bag Wink

olivo · 02/06/2006 08:52

nice buggy arabica!

booby - my midwife told me i had to have my injection in my thigh or bum , wasnt allowed it in my arm Angry. mind you, was so pleased to be getting the damn thing that i'd have accepted it ( nearly!) anywhere!!

who else has a snotty nose? mine is doing my head in and dh is sick of my snoring; dont think he realises he has another 12 weeks or so to put up with it!

yellow - enjoy your sponge Grin

off to spend the last day of my holidays lying in the garden, trying to ignore the reports i should be writing....

BigHotMama · 02/06/2006 10:54

Morning girls, hope your all well.

I had a bit of a tis last night and still am unsure what caused it and what is actually was? Have tried my books but cant seem to find an explanation?
Hoping somebody here may have had similar experience and can tell me what it was??
As I mentioned yesterday my belly felt really hard and heavy and was bit of a strain to walk standing up straight..when I got home I was doubled up with sharp pains all over my bump high and low? Couldnt stand up properly and could hardly breathe and this lasted for about 2 hours non-stop, I started panicking which didnt help my breathing, couldnt get into a comfortable position when trying to stand or sit down? Felt bit like stitch, bad cramps and severe trapped wind? Really scared the s* out of me and DH nearly called a doctor, but eventually it went away and I was ok for rest of the night? Woke up feeling fine today so not sure what it could be? My mom reckons stretching pains? Or maybe baby was lying in strange position? Any ideas?? Shock

YellowFeathers · 02/06/2006 11:00

Morning BHM.
Hmmmmm,
were you aware of the baby changing postion or moving?
It can be quite painful if they change position i.e. lie across or turnaround. Also if baby changed position he/she might have been laying on your lungs casuing the breathlessness but correct me if I'm wrong alot of it will have been panic/anxiousness? Wink

If your concerned give your MW a call and talk to her over the phone about it.

Thats my guess anyway Smile

olivo · 02/06/2006 11:04

ah someone else is out there -was beginning to think everyone was busy chewing their sponges Grin or maybe doing that 'working' thing (which I shuld be!!!)

hope you're feeling better BHM - i'm afraid i cant offer any pearls of wisdom, but make sure you havent been over doing it - after i did my 5 km waddle for life I felt a bit like this but it wore off pretty quickly and the baby was still moving lots. could you phone your doc/mw just to check?
