It is the epu, theyve been really good, I'm thankful I know just to ring them rather then do the advised go to a &e which is definatly not what id do! They are going to scan me thank god but I'm so anxious < fx and hand holding please>

Jojoba1986 · 01/12/2012 10:01

Fx everything's ok! Let us know when you've had the scan!

peardrop2 · 01/12/2012 10:26

Oh what a relief for you that you'll getting a scan. Thinking of you!

Blending · 01/12/2012 10:37

I'm glad they are looking after you. A scan is probably the only thing that will put your mind at rest.

I think the epu staff at the Womens Hospital in Liverpool are wonderful. Just knowing they are there helps me relax, as I know they won't treat me as if I am a neurotic pregnant lady!

Blending · 01/12/2012 10:48

Oops! Just realised that could sound bad... I meant dismissing genuine concerns, of which they have no specialist knowledge of, thereby putting every random symptom down to the fact you are pregnant, and you just need to go away and rest. Yes I too have had poor experience of A&E.

Any news?

Blending · 01/12/2012 10:50

I need to stop digging...the above coment was about my local A&E not the epu...

Lol at blending, I didn't think anything of the first post!
well breathes again, all looked ok, babys heart still beating away and waving hello, it was in a totally different place this time and upside down, I'm just so relieved!! Don't know what the spotting is about but they couldn't see any sign of something wrong or going wrong so I just have to think positively, it was just such a shock and I'm going to see all my friends today since they found out so I know itl be brought up alot, they are so lovely there! I know what you ment blending, at a&e during my first mc I was left waiting for 3 hours then as I couldn't say how far along I was as had been bf not had periods return she said well are you sure you are pregnant!?horrendous

peardrop2 · 01/12/2012 12:21

Yay kitten very happy for you Grin

MrsBri · 01/12/2012 12:43

Such good news, Kitten :-)

I've got my worst ms so far today, which is typical when we are off to Manchester for the Christmas market and a gig!

Lorelei353 · 01/12/2012 12:56

Hi kitten. Only saw all this now but glad it's all ok and you got it checked out.

Jojoba1986 · 01/12/2012 13:42

Yay kitty! So pleased everything's ok! You had me worried for just a moment! We've lost quite enough people off our bus. All other beans are to stay put! Wink

Blending · 01/12/2012 13:55

Great news kitten! Enjoy the wedding.

Oooh Mrs Bri, is it still the German Market in Manchester? I loved that when I worked in the centre, all wrapped up warm, with mulled wine and a good food, buying hand crafted tatt decorations. Hopefully if you've ms now it will have passed by time you get there.

I meant to say trumpets I would most definately take it as a complement! You are obviously doing something right! As for being young, I'd love to be told that alert! old codger knocking on 40

bringonthetrumpets · 01/12/2012 21:59

Well at least I appeared calm on the outside...which was so NOT how I was feeling that day. Moody, irritable, and a very grumpy mum in general. Ok. I'll take it as a compliment then :)

So, so happy that everything is okay, Kitty! At least you have your peace of mind and know that baby is doing well. Blending is right, it can be hormones or irritation on the cervix that can cause spotting. You could have your progesterone levels checked by your midwife too, sometimes if there is a dip in progesterone it can cause spotting in pregnancy. If it's low they will have you supplement with progesterone cream or injections.

kittenskittenskittens · 02/12/2012 08:32

Thank you for all the hand holding!!!
Much apreciated and thanks for the info on progesterone, that's never been mentioned but good to know if I need to ask for it, luckily I've had no more since yesterday morning although I dont think I'll be advancing from the white knickers for a while just as I'd started to relax
Anyway was lovely to see bean again and could enjoy wedding after! My mum was naughty and asked could they see what it was yet but the doctor checking obviously didn't do it often had a look and said well I cant see anything ( neither could I) so possibly girlie but it was abit early to say for sure and they all start off looking that way so still not sure but at 141/2 wks do you think you would see a little pee pee by then?!
The whole saga made me apreciate how much it didn't matter but that I just want to keep it so much x

MrsBri · 02/12/2012 11:27

Hi Blending :-)

Yes, it is still there. Was far, FAR too busy to enjoy it though :-/ We ended up going back to our friends' hotel room for drinks and snacks as the centre was hell on earth.

We had told them I was pregnant, as they'd have seen the bump / noticed I wasn't drinking anyway. Which meant that I also got a little nap in before the gig :-) One of our friends is a nurse, and she was making sure I was ok and that I rested before the gig. We have good friends :-)

And the gig was awesome. It was the first time I'd heard One Day Like This since the first dance at our wedding 7 weeks ago. I cried! It was beautiful and epic. I bloody love Elbow!

Just lounging in the hotel til check out at 12. Nice lazy morning. Then we are doing the tree when we get home. Perfect weekend.

Librarina · 02/12/2012 17:16

I'm so glad everything's well Kitty, has everyone else has a good weekend?

MrsBri yours sounds lovely, I saw Elbow in 2007 when they played with the Halle and it was one of the most wonderful gigs of my life. They are also dear to my heart because when my Library was threatened with closure, GG stepped in and wrote a searing letter to the papers defending us.

We had a special day yesterday, invited my parents and Mum in law round for dinner, ostensibly because we wouldn't all be together at Christmas, and we gave them each a little book which said 'Grandma (or Granddad) from you to me' and its for each of them to share their family history memories with the little Bean. Cue much tears and hugs and Champagne and it was all rather wonderful! Im so happy it went well as I really wasn't sure, and sometimes you cant tell with my Mum. Exhausted now, all that cooking has broken me, I'm glad there's leftovers for tonight.

Ha! Train victory to me. I'd opened the window on the train for air as it is just too warm.

A girl got on and just slammed it shut. So I reopened it. She went to shut it again til I bollocked her. As soon as I mentioned pregnant she dropped the arsiness though :-)

Can't cope with hot trains.

First time I've used the pregnant card!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 03/12/2012 07:20

Good for you mrs I love the way patience for arseholes goes out the window with pregnancy. Xmas Grin

MrsBri · 03/12/2012 07:32

It's bloody rude to get on and do that anyway!

I haven't even got my coat on. So warm!

peardrop2 · 03/12/2012 09:50

Go MrsBri Wink

Blending · 03/12/2012 15:15

Woohoo Mrs Bri! You go! Your weekend sounds amazing too.

Liberina that sounds a lovely way to tell them. Mine have known from the start as they knew we were going through IVF, so I could hardly say we'll let you know in 8 weeks!

As for me a chilled out weekend with just the dogs, and I'm looking forward to DD & DH coming home tomorrow night.

A silly driver rolled into the back of my car earlier, whilst I was stationary at the lights. She burst into hysterical tears when I got out and saw my obvious pregnancy, and I spent 5 minutes calming her down. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the car. She had a toddler in the back screaming, and looked completely harrased. I took her details in case I found any problems later...she said I could have sent you into labour, so I told her I only look that big as its twins...Cue hysterical crying again! I promised to call her later to let her know I'm ok.

It wasn't a really big knock to the car, in fact I thought I'd stalled and bunny hopped, but now I'm paranoid about the slight lower back pain I'm having and wondering if I should get it checked out? There wouldn't be anything they could do anyway is there? I've no cramps, just a few strange niggles in my tummy.

peardrop2 · 03/12/2012 15:26

Blending in a way it is kind of nice to hear that someone was so sorry and caring for you but obviously very rubbish that it happened to you! If I was you I would get checked out. The medical advice is to get checked out if you've been involved in any type of accident so for peace of mind it would be a good thing to do.

Lib I'm super envious of your lovely sharing story with your grandparents Smile They sound really sweet. Lovely for you to have that support.

I woke up with tummy pains this morning Hmm I think it's because I was sleeping on my front. They've been niggling me all day which is super annoying. Probably just bowel issues again but it does make me feel terribly paranoid! I didn't use the Doppler last night but I made DH check this morning before we left for work. I really wish I could just relax a little bit more!

peardrop2 · 03/12/2012 15:31

Lib obviously I meant grandparents to be Wink
