Good morning. Libra congrats on good scan news. I did check for updates last night but was too tired to post (having been to a gig).
I definitely feel different about my little bean having seen it. One of my scan pics is a close up on head and shoulders in side profile and you can just see this perfect little face. I keep thinking about lying there and watching it flip about on screen. It just makes me giggle.

My manager did send me a nice email yesterday afternoon. I think he's just a bit useless in person. I actually reckon he's been planning for this since I got married last year so I don't think it was a shock.

blundercatsHO · 30/11/2012 13:00

My cow came today. Damnit :(

(ps new name)

Loving all the healthy scan news x x

peardrop2 · 30/11/2012 15:32

I?m enjoying hearing about all your wrigglers. Mine was so chilled?not surprising really as DH is not the active gym bunny (still thinking it is a boy). It?s cute that our bumps are all showing their characters already.

Lorelei how did your dad and bro take your happy news? Bless you about your boss but glad to hear he emailed you in the end, some men find it tricky don't they! I feel like I might do the same (tears that is) on Monday just because it?s such a build up?dreading any emotions coming across even though I don?t care and just want the news out. It?s lovely that you have the support of your head of dept.

Trumpets thanks for the doppler tip! I haven?t noticed little thumps or static sounds yet but I?ll keep an ear out! Hilarious about your sons playing with model fetus...train them young I say! I think you?re right about the heartburn. It?s happening again today and is especially bad when and after eating so it must be heartburn. Thanks for your reassurance and advice. I will check out papaya enzymes because Gaviscon did nothing for me yesterday anyway. Holland and Barratt will know my name soon! Sipping tea seems to help a bit.

Jojo I hope you?re feeling less icky today?

Lib I haven?t told my boss yet. Plan to do that on Monday?eek! Congrats on your happy scan news and another cute baby pic! I?m guessing a girl ☺ Are you going to find out at 20 weeks?

Frus I thought I felt movement but I think it was in my head :-/ I?m envious that you and Jojo can feel something but they do say it?s quicker when you?ve had previous children so I know I have to be patient on this one.

Mrsb savor every wink in bed Wink

OK large update over!

peardrop2 · 30/11/2012 15:33

blunder Sad but keep it safe as it won't be long Wink

Lorelei353 · 30/11/2012 15:37

Sorry your cow came blunder. Love the new name Wink

pear my dad got all choked up which was so cute. My brother was really cool about it. I mentioned before (probably another thread or two ago) but he and his wife got married a year before us and have been trying for a good while. She had a mc at 6 weeks about a year and a half ago and had to have some cysts removed but since then nothing's happening. I hope she was okay but I left my brother to tell her himself. She did text me to say congrats later. My brother just said he was really happy for us and we have to go ahead with our plans, and not worry about them as their time would come.

Jojoba1986 · 30/11/2012 17:35

My hips hurt. Other than that I've been feeling pretty good today! I seem to have developed a habit of getting a migraine in the evenings though so there's still time for it to all go downhill! Wow, I'm a barrel of laughs!

I'm glad your brother is being supportive Lor, it's always a worry when you have to tell someone who might not be thrilled! It's nice that he can actually be happy for you! Smile

blundercatsHO · 30/11/2012 17:37

Thanks ladies, it's ok really, he's super cute and he's a happy thought for when my time comes.

Love all these tales of happy families learnibg yoyr news Smile

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/11/2012 17:56

Hey blund I got my cow yesterday.

pear I thought it was in my head with dd1. Until the day before my 20wk scan and I got a hefty boot.
Dd2 wasn't a kicker, and I rarely felt anything with her, even late on.

kittenskittenskittens · 30/11/2012 17:58

Sad for thunder, silly cows only good for burgers in my opinion anyway Wink
Maybe he is your lucky cow though?!
Jojo you do make me laugh, your like my dsis, she hated every second of pregnancy!
Pear can't believe you've not told your boss yet, are you abit afraid? I hated doing it too
Good news with your bro lor, I definatly think you did it the right way leaving him to pass on to SIL he sounded like he was chuffed for you and they will love your new bean when it arrives

peardrop2 · 30/11/2012 18:25

He's very soft isn't he blunder and if you turn him round the other way he's just a cow which is very handy :-)

Lor I do remember you saying that about your brother and SIL. It's so tricky from both sides but I'm glad for your sake that you and your brother have dealt with it in a mature and nicest way possible. Hopefully it won't be long before they share their happy news and then you can have close cousins!

Happy Friday everyone! Apart from the heartburn and ligment pains on the right side I'm feeling cheery and festive tonight.

peardrop2 · 30/11/2012 18:29

Kitten I was considering leaving it until January when I'm back after the hols as I only have 2 weeks left now but the chat would go like this (which I don't think is my grandest idea)...'Happy new year, oh and btw I'm buggering off in 12 weeks Blush'

Jojoba1986 · 30/11/2012 18:34

I don't hate every second, honest! Just every other! I guess I'm struggling because my last pregnancy was so easy & I was assuming this would be the same but I'm rapidly ticking off everything that usually appears on a 'pregnancy symptoms' list! I'm very pleased to be pregnant & I know it's going to be worth it in the end! Smile

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/11/2012 19:21

Don't feel bad jojo I hated my last two, because I was so sick all the time didnt know you could have anti-sickness meds I'm not feeling too bad this time round thanks to meds

kittenskittenskittens · 30/11/2012 20:33

Ah Jojo I didn't mean it was a bad thing, don't know if you've seen what to expect but the lady who takes ages to get pregnant has a horrible pregnancy at the same time as her mum in law who has twins and is blooming etc she has a massive rant about how shit it is and by the sounds of yours it's not been great, we all know the end is worth it but doesn't make it pleasent in the meantime if your ill etc!
It bugged my dsis I had an easy time of it though, as much as she loves me I know she wished I could experience abit of her misery! Lol
Pear I think pre new year is better to give them warning even if it was just before you went off, you may have quite a bump by jan lol

bringonthetrumpets · 30/11/2012 21:32

Right, so not exactly sure if I should be feeling flattered or really offended:

Met up with a friend and her two DDs (her eldest is in my eldests preschool class). We played a bit and then went to eat. We had the 4 kids on one side of the booth and us two mums on the other. A woman comes up to us and says "Oh my gosh! Are you two nannies? We are looking for a nanny for my three kids and you two look like great nannies! I was going to ask which agency you are from." We both look at her and each other and were like Hmm "Nooooo....these are out kids and we don't have nannies". She says "Oh! You look so young, you could be nannies". Confused For the record, she looked younger than ME and I'm only 27, and my kids look like little clones of me as do my friend's children look exactly like her! Still shaking my head and just feel so weirded out about the whole thing!

Blending · 30/11/2012 21:47

Hi ladies

Jojo your not the only one not enjoying it this time (In fact thats encouraged me to start posting again, as I didnt want to be moaning)

I'm feeling a bit fed up an scared at the moment. I'm roughly the size I was at 5-6 months last time, and I keep worrying about becoming bed bound, I realised that I probably wont be able to drive past 6 months, and I hate the thought of losing my independence. Then I feel guily after everything we've gone through to bloody get here.

I had a an appointment with my haematolgist obstetrican yesterday, and brought up the fact I been breathless when going up the stairs or carrying DD (to the point I had to sit down) and she said" No wonder look at the the size of you! It's probably just the heft!" Hmm She then said if I have any problems breathing once I stopped physical activity to go to A&E.

I am completely wiped out.

On the up side I got them to book me another scan for next week Grin so I get to see my shrimps for a third time.

Oh and I have 4 whole days to myself now! DH & DD have gone to Holland for his family stuff and I opted out! He's taken her on his own before, and they had a great time, all the in-laws spoilt her rotten. So I can take it easy, just me and the dogs.

Sat here with cheese and crackers...would love a glass of something cold!

bringonthetrumpets · 30/11/2012 23:22

Oh Blending I'm so sorry you're having a rough time atm. Being breathless going up the stairs is a normal part of this time of pregnancy! Your blood volume is beginning to build and your blood pressure is beginning to drop as well. Are you able to take regular walks at all? Do you think that continuing to do small bouts of activity will keep you going for the next few months? Even stuff like light prenatal yoga works wonders for building stamina. I'm sorry your OB said that, that's really rude and bad bedside manner!

For what it's worth, I look like I'm 5 months pregnant as well (and I only have ONE in there!) and I'm beginning to be breathless when I carry a child or walk up the stairs (not to mention extremely dizzy when I stand up).

peardrop2 · 01/12/2012 06:12

kitten I don't have much of a baby bump Hmm its growing though so hopefully by January I'll look less fat and more pregnant Smile

trumpets you should be flattered! A bit odd though I agree Wink

Ooooo this is my first time using the MN app! Anyone else got it? My first moan is there are not many smiley options! More options please MN!

peardrop2 · 01/12/2012 06:15

Urgh why am I awake at this unsociable hour!

I've arranged a festive curry meet up with friends this week (before the heartburn began). What am I going to eat now that won't irritate my heart burn :-( A peppery sausage roll set me off badly yesterday so I don't want to imagine what curry will do. Does anyone know if Korma is safe it to eat? That has to be the safest option right?

kittenskittenskittens · 01/12/2012 06:47

Bringon- I'd be flattered, you both obviously looked calm and unflustered like mums and believe me as someone over 30 never object to being told you look young!! Wink
Pear I only use the mn app, your right about smileys but so much quicker!!
Korma is fine, I've had it allready and would probably be helpful as has yoghurt or cream in it which is soothing
Blending- thought we hadn't seen you much, there's nothing wrong with feeling abit low at how fast your bodies changing, yours will at double speed but agree I've been getting breathless carrying dd up stairs etc and it's not heft! I've only put on 3lb so he's talking rubish, dont worry about what may happen later down the line driving etc as you may not have to, my friend had twins and I met her at 30 odd wks and she was still driving plus you will have them earlier so it's not the full 9 months, think how envious we all are with our final days when you are cuddling 2 lovely babies allready Smile
Well can I have a moan/ panic?! Tmi but went to toilet last night and on wiping there was abit of pinky tinged cm, if I was later I'd say a show, definatly pink although a tiny amount was there when I wiped again but no more through the night or this morning, should I phone mw do you think or just wait and see? I have a wedding today and I'm worrying what if alls not well now all and sundry know I'm pregnant!! Didn't have it with dd till the day I had her and my last 2 pregnancys I've mc? Sad

Jojoba1986 · 01/12/2012 08:39

I'd give them a quick ring. At least they can reassure you that it's not unusual & you won't spend the whole day worrying!

kittenskittenskittens · 01/12/2012 09:03

It's got worse Sad ii am worrying
I'm going in to see them now but not sure if there's anyone in who can scan so not sure if it'll ease my mind much, still feel like I'm doing something

peardrop2 · 01/12/2012 09:13

Kitten you're doing the right thing. I was going to say call before I read your second post. Deep breaths [hug]

Jojoba1986 · 01/12/2012 09:20

Try not to stress too much! Ha! Do keep us updated if you can. They will at least be able to look for a heartbeat, even if they can't give you a proper scan. Thinking of you.

Blending · 01/12/2012 09:22

Kittens is it the epu? you can self refer at ours, so get straight down there. I completely understand your worry with your history (same boat here)

FWIW I had this a few weeks ago and they said my cervix had become irritated by the hormones but everything was fine.
