MM I have terrible SM anyway, from puberty, then DS, then yoyoing weight over the years! My worst ones are on my hips, but I have a gorgeous (!) 'ring of fire' above my belly button which I got from DS, but faded pretty well to silvery wrinkles marks. However seeing as I am a lot heavier now, it has appeared again! And there are the added 2 SM above this which have annoyed me! I don't want new ones!

Dixiebell · 16/10/2012 18:11

I had an isolated incident of leaking waters at 40+3 last time round...MW said to wear pad but no more leaking so thought at time just bladder even tho had had no weakness thought pregnancy. But my waters went properly about 2 days later so now I know it was waters.

MissMummy1 · 16/10/2012 18:14

Suddenly having a low pre-pregnancy weight and high fitness level is a HUGE disadvantage. Torn stomach muscles, anger at one's complete inability to do anything remotely exhuberent and ugly stretchmarks - it is all worth it in the end right?!? Only plus side so far is the free boob job!! (Pregnancy gods, I'd like to keep my new 34DDs please!) Grin

horseylady · 16/10/2012 18:16

Ah yes no-good for actual food shops (though the fresh veg and yogurts are good!!) but if you want specific stuff go to bigger supermarkets ESP vege.

I just used to call in as I was walking to my car. Dh buys loads of flapjacks at work so it was always cheaper to buy in bulk from there!! And get a cheap lunch for work if I was being lazy the night before/forgot to food shop!!

TheDetective · 16/10/2012 18:17

Having done it as a size 8-10, 9 stone (dropping to 7 stone!) and as a 13.5 stone size 16-18, I can't say it has made much difference to the damage!

If it is gonna happen, there ain't nothing you can do to stop it!

I knew I was prone to stretch marks as I got them on my inner thighs when I was 9. Kids are cruel bastards, and I spent my pre-puberty, and puberty desperately hiding my legs! Now, they are nothing compared to my hips! Some of my stretch marks are over 1cm wide :(

horseylady · 16/10/2012 18:20

Mm what were you doing pre pregnancy? Fitness wise? I just ask as apart from getting out breath because of lack of lung room, I don't think my fitness has dipped too much. Dreading my stomach post baby. Def need to get back doing lots of planks and core work!! Oh and I do want my boobs to get bigger than a d (which they currently are!!) they've gone very round too?!

Must get measured up, really don't want to give up by underwired bras :(

TheDetective · 16/10/2012 18:22

I went to the shop with my now E cups in no bra today Blush

I just threw a hoodie on over a vest top! The bump held them up Grin

I gave up the underwired 3 weeks ago, and it was the best thing I did. They were very uncomfy in the end. I've got padded ones now which give support. vertbaudet do underwired maternity ones, but if you get padded ones you will find them supportive enough I've found!

applepieinthesky · 16/10/2012 18:25

My mum never got stretch marks with me or my brother so I thought genetics would be on my side. I didn't have any until about 30 weeks and now I have loads. My stomach looks ghastly Sad

horseylady · 16/10/2012 18:27

Do they? I want to try on ideally before I buy but padded might work? I just like the support of underwired. Or sports bras!! But I understand why you should avoid wires.....I just like them!!

TheDetective · 16/10/2012 18:27

I don't think my mum has them either Apple :( I got the shit end of the gene pool clearly!

ShellyBobbs · 16/10/2012 18:27

Oh I love Aldi and do all my shops there, have to occasionally nip in Asda or Morrisons for Quorn but really hate having to do so.

So sorry you are so bad, hopefully you can get loads of rest now.

TheDetective · 16/10/2012 18:30

I got these ones, but you do need to try them, as the sizings are out, I had to go down a cup size, but wish I'd gone up a back size as they are a little tight at the minute due to increase in bump size! Am going to get those bra extender things that VQ mentioned!

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/10/2012 18:31

If I lean forward and let my bump 'hang' I can feel pain on my cervix and lots of pressure down below.

I sit on my birthing ball every day, bobbing up and down. Also the top of my bump hurts soooo much. It just feels immensely bruised all the time but esp late afternoon/ eve.

TheDetective · 16/10/2012 18:32

To be honest, I'd go for whatever is comfortable for you Horsey I just got too uncomfy in underwired! I'm not fully comfortable unless they are hanging free to be quite honest at the minute!

Which is the opposite to when I had DS, when I didn't remove my bra for about 2 years! Wore one day and night! Now I only wear one when leaving the house if I really have to

MissMummy1 · 16/10/2012 18:33

Horsey I used to walk miles with the dog every day and run or swim every morning (depending on what my dodgy knee could hack!) I also do lots of sailing and always spend my whole summers out on ribs - perfect workout for ALL your muscles although an absolute no-no for preggo ladies! I was so ill with ms and general exhaustion for the first 3/4 months, in between a stressful final uni placement, a house move and writing my car off that I didn't do anything and now I can't walk for more than half an hour with the dog without paying for it later in the day. Nothing compared to the SPD sufferers on here - my heart really goes out to you all! Horsey however you have put me to absolute shame keeping up all your exercise!

I'm still swimming and doing yoga so haven't completely resigned myself to a couch potato today is an exception! I think moving to this village hasn't helped either as I used to walk everywhere before and now you can't do anything without a car.

MissMummy1 · 16/10/2012 18:35

Oh and I've gone from a pathetic B to a very lovely DD - verging on E! Very pleased (as is DH who claims he "never had a problem with my small boobs" Hmm)

ValiumQueen · 16/10/2012 19:03

At one point I remember going bra shopping and tried a 34AA on. Did not even touch the sides! I was mega fit and not eating enough. I quite like my E cups but know they will shrink to spaniel ears once milk has stopped.

DH wow for Friday. Quite envious, but at the same time sympathise for the stress. It sounds as if they are really looking after you.

I have a new stretch mark above my belly button. It is funny how each kid has stretched me in a different place.

TheDetective · 16/10/2012 19:05

They like to leave you a souvenir VQ!

horseylady · 16/10/2012 19:06

Detective I'm planning on going to m&s so will look at those!! Might look on verbadent as well.

Mm the first trimester was horrific!! I had to stop running and my fitness classes!! Thankfully managed to continue riding and walked as much as possible!! Second trimester was wonderful though!! Sounds fab though how you used to spend your summers!!

Titsalinabumsquash · 16/10/2012 19:07

Pizza ordered. Grin

On the topic of boobs, I was a pre pregnancy 32F I'm now in a 36H and growing. Sad

I got soapy stretch marks with DS1 my stomach was unrecognisable but I was very underweight when I fell preg with him.

DS2 I got less but the ones I did get eventually tore the skin into sores, my bump was 3x bigger than this one (thank goodness he was early!)

This time I have 1 lone (new) one on my inner thigh bordering on vagine although I have no big mirror in my house so could have millions under the bump for all I know!

ValiumQueen · 16/10/2012 19:15

Souvenirs. Hmm. Got plenty of them. With DD1 I had a skin tag that grew and grew. It shrunk back, then grew again with DD2, then shrunk back. Now like a testicle in my groin. I will have it removed as soon as I can. I also have my episiotomy scar which remains sore 6 years on. DD2 gave me a pile. And the section scar. wondering what this boy will do to me. Not to mention the mental scars Grin

horseylady · 16/10/2012 19:42

Mmmm the aubergine and onion not quite what I imagined but anyway they tasted fine!!! The roast potatoes were very good!! Dh seemed happy!!

Looks like the football is going to be off!! Great British bake off it is then!!!

horseylady · 16/10/2012 19:44

Piles don't go???!!!!

ValiumQueen · 16/10/2012 20:05

When baby is not pushing down they do go back, but can pop out any time. Mine popped out again a matter of days ago. Not suprising really.
