Thought I would start the thread.

HC Sorry that our MIL is like that. I guess theres not much you can do apart from telling DH to stick up fo you. My Mil is ok but has her odd ways. She was against me bfing and was determined with DD that she would be dressed in pink frilly dresses. Soon put a stop to all that and I just used to ignore her comments.

The kicks argetting a lot stronger now. They are still fairly low down and sometimes in my bladder.

Im glad im not the only one breaking wind like a trooper. Im almost afraid to bend over in work Blush

Im hoping to go back to work 3 1/2 possibly 4 days a week. Im going to put DD in nursery 2/3 mornings but mil will have both the rest of the time. Id love to do less but when I work out how much id lose its shocking and weve just extended our morgage for the extension. The other option ive got is to work in the call centre and do shifts but I dont fancy the weekend shifts. Im too frightened to tell my mnagaer yet.

ladies i don't think any of us should feel bad about giving up 'work', i'm sure like me you've all worked blooming hard all your lives and we're still doing it .... its hard work this pregnancy lark - i'd like to see men do it, it sure would be a hell of a different world if they did ....

saying that i'm enjoying every minute of it (well almost) had my m/w check up today but with the consultant - everything looks great and i'm on track to have a home birth (which is very exciting on one hand but v nerve wracking on t'other, being my first and and unknown!)
night night all

Morning. Things started up again yesterday and was sent home to rest. Luckly they stopped last night as midwife thought it was early labour (AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!).

This could be TMI but this morning had a large amount of jelly like discharge. Had a lot of discharge early on in pregnancy but not much for a while. Fingers crossed its nothing I should be worried about.

Lilianna when you had your contractions did you get anything afterwards?

I can't wait until I stop work, although I have to go back part time. Although as you say being at home full time with a toddler and a baby is going to be tough.

Morning ladeez.

No Kayzed, he will only be staying at nuraesry till end of August to let me have the first 4 weeks of newborn at home alone to get into some sort of routine. Then DS1 will be home too. he will only be 22 month by then so will not have started pre-school or anything, and if i am at home full time we can't justify pyaing to send him to nursery, not even part time, it is not cheap!

At what age do the Govt start contributing to nursery/preschool places, isn't it 3?

Feel shattered today - really want to go for a swim at lunchtime but am knackered climbing the stairs....ache all over too, moan moan..

IamBlossom · 20/04/2006 09:19

Jersey god that sounds unnerving! You had better take things reeeeeeally slow.........

Morning ladies

jersey-deffo get this checked out and GET OFF YOUR FEET ! I get small amounts of jelly like discharge every now and again usually when I have done too much. You can ring the materity ward at this stage if you can't get hold of your midwife. Let us know how you get on hun. ((xx))

dangirl-97th centile Shock-and I was worried about my measurement last week being just above the 50th centile! ((xx))

Can't wait to finish work. DD will still be going to nursery 2 mornings a week then when she is 3 she should get some financial assistance so can maybe do more mornings. Even if a was a SAHM I would still send DD to nursery as it does her the world of good and I just can't keep her entertained to the level she requires. Hoping her baby sister will occupy her sometimes.

IamBlossom-always wake up with a crusty mouth as due to PG congestion I must sleep with my mouth open (well, when I get to sleep that is). Can't turn over in bed so have to sit up then lay back down again-what a whale! Also, if I lay on my left side I feel like I am going to squash my heart so try and settle on my right side. ((xx))

Anyway, have a good day ladies. Shall continue my attempt to find out from Mothercare what has happened to the Jungle vinyl border online. It is in the catalogue but has disappeared online. 2nd E-Mail sent to them yesterday as they replied last time that they should be getting more wallpaper in soon. Yes, but what about the border ?????!!!!!!????? aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Have a good day all.

xxx

Hi HC. Yeah agree about nurery being good for them - i will be attending Mumbaba (singing) on Fridays with both kids, and toddler groups and library reading time etc so i reckon he will get the stimulation he needs from those, plus I have a huge support network of mums and kids his age around me so i don't think he will miss it that much. I am really pleased at the things they have taught him so far anyway, like eating at a table in a chair, and feeding himself, and all his words they have done a great job.

I've just read your other thread too Jersey, please keep us informed won't you???

Annie29 · 20/04/2006 12:12

Hello Everyone,

Jersey, I hope you're ok, having things checked over just to be sure. We're all thinking of you here.

I've had a very hectic Easter, in a nutshell: Sold our flat, DS had his first birthday, got better offers on flat so sold it for more (to the same buyer though), kitchen ceiling sprung a leak, where upstairs had removed their washing machine, so had to be refilled, and repainted (lucky after the buyer had agreed new price!), found a new flat, put an offer in, accepted offer, sister and two kids visiting all weekend, lots of chocolate to eat, can't stop eating it...

Phew! MW appt tomorrow. Hope everyone else is ok, Jersey, let us know how its all going there,

Annie (28 weeks today)

deblaca · 20/04/2006 12:24

jersey - thinking of you, agree with the others 'get it checked out' for peace of mind if nothing else

dangirl - blimey (said swallowing hard) - i was happy with 66th percile for my lo and thought that's big enough for me thankyou!
annie you sound like you've been busy
off to ireland this afternoon for 5 day break - no builders dust, bliss
take care all x

HumphreysCorner · 20/04/2006 12:29

Enjoy your break.

Annie29 · 20/04/2006 13:23

Deblaca say hello to everyone for me!! They'll know who you mean, the wan living over in London with the English fella...
Where in Ireland are you going to?

jersey · 20/04/2006 13:41

Still here girls. Rang hospital and spoke to a midwife. She said sounded like a show but as I wasn't getting any pains at that time I didn't need to go in. If pains start I must ring and go in straight away. So much for my midwife saying well if it starts go in at 10 minutes Angry.

Feels a bit heavy and achy this morning but not sure if its in my head!!

jersey - just wanted to add best wishes, hope things are going ok for you.

Wallace · 20/04/2006 18:52

Fingers crossed for you jersey xxxx

Wallace · 20/04/2006 20:17

I've just realised - I'm the only pregnant woman in the village Grin The 3 ladies who were due before me (March and April) have now all had their babies (all boys too!) leaving just me. As far as I know there is no-one due after me yet - you might have guessed we live in a very mall village!

I think this baby has to be a girl - the last girl born in the village was back in about September/October, and there have been for boys since then.

Me next Grin

Wallace · 20/04/2006 20:18

That's small not mall and four not for :)

puddytat99 · 20/04/2006 20:33

Jersey - Hope you're taking things easy and everything has quiet down for you. Thinking of you, so take care of yourself.

Off to hospital tomorrow to see consultant/doctor to take over birth fears, home birth, etc. I can't believe I'm 29 + 1 tomorrow. Going way too fast.

Set up baby part of the bedroom today, which makes it feel even more real. Not that being woken every 2 hours last night by someone kicking, isn't real Wink

maewest · 20/04/2006 20:38

know what you mean puddytat, wriggling seems to have really increased in the last week. I'm 26 wks tomorrow & have mw appt in the morning.

dangirl · 20/04/2006 20:38

Fingers crossed for you Jersey!!!

jom · 20/04/2006 21:43

Thinking of you jersey. I think you should go and get checked out, to put your mind at ease if nothing else. Good luck, and keep us informed.

Twirl · 20/04/2006 22:16

Jersey, best wishes and big hugs. Please keep off your feet and look after yourself. xxx
