Thought I would start the thread.

HC Sorry that our MIL is like that. I guess theres not much you can do apart from telling DH to stick up fo you. My Mil is ok but has her odd ways. She was against me bfing and was determined with DD that she would be dressed in pink frilly dresses. Soon put a stop to all that and I just used to ignore her comments.

The kicks argetting a lot stronger now. They are still fairly low down and sometimes in my bladder.

Im glad im not the only one breaking wind like a trooper. Im almost afraid to bend over in work Blush

Im hoping to go back to work 3 1/2 possibly 4 days a week. Im going to put DD in nursery 2/3 mornings but mil will have both the rest of the time. Id love to do less but when I work out how much id lose its shocking and weve just extended our morgage for the extension. The other option ive got is to work in the call centre and do shifts but I dont fancy the weekend shifts. Im too frightened to tell my mnagaer yet.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say hope everyone has a lovely Easter.

Is anyone else concerned about the amount of weight they are putting on? I mean, TBH, I wasn't the smallest of people to start with, and now I'm 25 weeks, I've put on 20lbs!! Is that normal or am I just getting fat and how easy (or hard) is it to lose afterwards?

Also as well, I have suffered with thursh for about 3 years and nothing I take seems to treat it, but will it affect baby if I have a 'natural' delivery?

Any thoughts welcome

TTFN
xx

kayzed - Glad the cheese incident turned out ok. I know how it feels as I ate Blue cheese with DD and spent ages worrying about it.

Kay- Ive put on about 1 stone at 25 weeks so im not far behind you. With DD I gained 2 stone by the end and lost all of it plus extra 1/2 stone by the time she was 6 months. I was bf though and had such a clingy baby I couldnt put her down to eat so that may have had something to do with it.

I feel huge today. I seem to be speadning loads on maternity wear as everything I own is too small for me and im flashing my belly in work which is not a pretty sight. the problem is even though ive bought a lot it just doesnt seem enough and i run out of things to wear. Anyone else getting the same problems or if not what are you all wearing?
Have a good easter

I got a letter through about my foetal cardiac scan. The consultant is going to discuss with the specialist to see whether they think I need one.

I also had a letter about my antenatal classes! The first one is the 4th of May!, then each thursday after that for 4 weeks.

MummyToToby · 15/04/2006 15:30

Kay - i have put on 12lbs and i am 28 weeks + 1. i hate not being able to buy any nice clothes to wear don't you?

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2006 16:41

Hello girls

29 weeks today-oo-er! Grin

Bit of a moan coming up. Yesterday I took DD out in the garden for 3 hours so DH could get on with the nursery. When we finally came in it turns out he had been on EBay the whole time searching for bike bits. GGGGGRRRRRRHHHHHHH!!!!!! He is in there now though (locked in-hee hee)

MIL & FIL turned up earlier while DH was still at work. FIL took their dog for a walk and MIL was to follow later and pick him up in the car. She kept saying oh I can't leave as DD will cry and whitter when I leave. No she won't I said. She said she couldn't go until DH came home because she didn't want her to cry but luckily he was late so she had to go and guess what-DD didn't even want to be bothered to see her off. Grin Who does she think she is!!!!???!!!!

MummyToToby-when are you due and do you know what you are having? ((xx))

Girls-I have done the string test on my hairdresser with her eyes shut as she doesn't want to know what she is having and it says a boy so will see when she has the baby. Still convinced it works by the way Wink

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Byee for now.

(((xxx)))

i'm due july 7th. i'm having a boy.

Twirl · 15/04/2006 20:21

Hello. I hope you are all having a lovely Easter, i'm very much looking forward to the eggs tomorrow Grin. Kbaby, I'm really frustrated about clothes too. My maternity trousers from last time round are getting too tight already (I'm 28+ 2) although they lasted me until the end last time. I went shopping yesterday and it was a total disaster as nothing seemed to fit prperly and all the trousers seemed to fit perfectly now but had no room left for growth. I feel like a heffalump! I don't know what to do, short of spending the next 3 months with my trousers undone Grin. Where do you all get your trousers from???

Twirl · 15/04/2006 20:22

MummytoToby - I'm due the day before and am also expecting a boy!

Welcome to mumtotoby :)

Getting lots of lovely big kicks this evening, at the front istead of right at the bottom or at the side which means they are easier to feel.

I think I have put on about half a stone in the last week since my mum came home - she just loves to feed me up Grin

Just popped to do the looroll test seeing as I now have a big bump. Can't believe I am still only 7.5 sheets Shock

I do still fit into my some of my jeans, but they are ones that fit on my hips. It's my tops I'm having problems with - they now leave a gap!

kbaby · 16/04/2006 08:42

Twirl - ive been getting most of my trousers from Next but im finding they fit when your stood up, too tight when your sat down and everytime you get up you have to hoist them back up. Also the majority of stuff is under the bump so you have to get long tops to cover your bump. With DD I could wear most of my old tops until 33 weeks whereas this time ive constantly got a drafty belly.
Ive been watching the baby move this weekend as the kicks and movements are all visable from outside the problem is when it moves my belly wobbles with all the extra layers!

Not been on for a few days(tried yesterday and shock horror site down Shock.Been getting organised for my hols.
Kbaby i have had to stop wearing my next jeans as i have the same problem with them.I always have a builders bum i think too Blush
I have bought a fab skirt and pair of three quarter lengths from H&M's and they are sooo comfy.Well worth the money at 15 quid each.
Spub glad your docs appt went well and you know whats going to happen now.
I have also been busy chasing a parent for fees she owes meAngry.Due 4 weeks notice and has done a runner so am pursuing her through legal channels.Money was for my hols on Tuesday so i am really pissed off at her.
Not getting my kids easter eggs this year.Ds2 has wanted a guitar for yonks so giving him money towards it and Ds1 wanted a new hoody to impress his girlfriend lol.First real one he's had and it's sweet but scary too.he can't eat his dinner as no appetite and spends 4 hrs a night on msn chatting etc.Spoke to him about sex (again) and said he could end up with a baby of his own etc and he said if they are wanting to be together he will use condoms so dont worry mum!!!
I know it's sensible but i hope he doesn't do anything for ages yet.
Anyway have a great easter everyone and i'll see you all when i get back from my hols.
take care xxx

hi girls, hope everyone had a lovely easter. dp has just brought me a boxer puppy-8months old for my birthday- shes lovely.
ds2 has just started pulling himself up to standing and climbing the stairs (his also 8months) and due to start potty training ds1 and dd tomorrow.
Also have my growth scan tomorrow.
My craving is chocolate and ice.
Hope everyone is ok and your pgs are going fine.

Wallace · 17/04/2006 13:57

Good time of year to have a chocolate craving lilianna Grin Happy birthday too, and good luck for your scan :) Your puppy sounds sweet!

Grumble about inlaws all you like, maewest - I'm sure a few of us could join you!

spub · 17/04/2006 17:48

Hi gals,
Happy Easter and welcome to Mumtotoby. We're due around the same time Bumpybel and me and Twirl and you! I'm also having a boy.
Spent the weekend painting the nursery a lovely blue and white and am off to look for fabric on weds.
It's all getting very real, isn't it?
Have heard that I may get my elective a wee bit early which woud be great 'cos my pelvis is titally knackered with this big boy and my back is constantly sore. I get my sexy elastic support belt this week!
Hope you all had a great Easter and have been scoffing chocolate with impunity. There's got to be a benefit to looking like a barn already!!

Twirl · 17/04/2006 19:53

Evening ladies
Thanks for the tip re H&M - I'll definitely try there for trousers. I have had a frustrating Easter trying to potty train DD (24 months) and have spent 2 days doing nothing but mopping up wee from the floor and washing her entire wardrobe at least twice a day. Potty training ahs now been abandoned as she doesn't seem to have enough bladder control to know when she is weeing. Am now pee'd off that I have wasted 2 days of sunshine on a fruitless task! Sad
Maewest, your inlaws sound like mine - they are just about to retire and are moving to London to be closer to us so they can 'pop in' whenever they want. Unfortunately, their definition of 'pop in' means stay for entire day including all meals, not lift a finger, then eventually go when we pretty much throw them out! I sympathise with you.

dangirl · 17/04/2006 21:47

Evening ladiesSmile

And a very happy easter to you all!
I have been away visiting my parents for the holidays (last time allowed to fly) and have not been checking in for a few days. Hope all are well!

Trousers: I have bit the bullet and paid £69 for a pair of Seraphine jeans. But I LOVE them!!! And have worn them every single day since. So they will turn out to be quite cheap pr wear in the end... that is my excuse and I am sticking to itGrin

I think I have gained aprox 7 kg. Doesn't sound too bad. But I have been eating way to much bad stuff lately though. Have got to stop it!!

Sleep well all.

Hugs from
DangirlSmile

Twirl

Forget potty training for another month or so then try again. Started DD at 2 1/2-no luck-again a month later-no luck then a month after that she just got it. Still have a few accidents though. She was no way ready at 2.

Re potty training - our dd is 3 years and 3 months. We had some set backs with her because she was hospitalised in Jan with chronic constipation and impaction and it left her with some "issues" around going to the toilet. We decided to bite the bullet so to speak last week and she has been totally acccident free of poo and pee since Thursday! Star chart and Wallace and Gromit video bribe worked a treat.
She did have medical problems but I also think that she wasn't ready to train much sooner than now. I was really wound up about it til a friend told me she hadn't really even tried to potty train til her kids were 3 and at that time it was much less stressful because they were bigger and had better control.
We were lucky last week cos the 2 days (Tues and Weds) where she needed changed 8 times were those when she was in nursery!!Wink. Made the exorbitant fees less painful!
Good luck to all the other toilet trainers!
