This baybee has scared the bejeezuz out of me by going quiet today. I can only assume it was a. Knackered after the somersaults yesterday and b. has changed position. A hot cuppa and sit down from me has stimulated it to start moving...I was on the verge of getting MSB to take me to the hospital! It's such a monkey!

LPplusOne · 16/01/2013 17:56

Baby still inside! Only 3 more nights and then it's all systems okay to go. Saw MW today - everything looks good. Braxton Hicks becoming increasingly more intense and baby is engaged, so it's just a waiting game. (Of course, all this means that I'll probably end up giving birth way past my due date!)

Faife I've had a whole slew of weird (& sometimes disturbing) dreams, too, but those seem particularly icky. Sad

Daytime tv SUCKS Rolls...only 4 more sleeps to keep those thighs shut!

FriendofDorothy · 16/01/2013 19:15

OH man I had horrid nightmares when I was pregnant. Dreamt the The Mister was leaving me and all sorts.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 16/01/2013 19:17

I dreamt I was pregnant with Snoop Dog's baybee! Hmm

snowqueenrollo · 16/01/2013 21:54

daytime tv - I can feel my IQ dropping.

faif this baby has definitely had a pattern of being very active for a few days then throwing a quiet one in to scare me. Drinking something very cold usually did the trick to get it moving. I've had a few nights (with poorly DS for example) where i've not slept and the baby was obviously getting the adrenalin too as it moved a LOT during the night and then of course would be very still the next day - and worry me.

I want to have my baby next Weds, so it will be Aquarius.....

LPplusOne · 17/01/2013 00:52

(I'm Aquarius...and really hoping +One is, too!)

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 17/01/2013 21:44

My baybee is likely to be on the cusp...of two star signs. Um, Aries? (Not very woo).

Now could lesser food intake be making my baybee less active? Yesterday it was very quiet but I had just cereal for breakfast and then a busy morning - quiet baybee. Bit more active after lunch but I didn't have much (tight on time) But was busy after dinner. Today I had a funny day cos of shifts. Baybee has only really been active since I had tea. I need to eat more, don't I?

blonderthanred · 17/01/2013 21:46

Try a v cold drink. But get checked if you have reduced movements. Even if it means you are checking often.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 17/01/2013 22:12

Yes cold drinks and caffiene make her ? wriggle. She's not been inactive as such, just less oomph I think which I think is positional as well. She's wriggling now! (Just had hot chocolate). If things go quiet again I'll get checked out. I don't think I've actually had more than a couple of hours without any kicks to be fair. It's still gauging what's 'normal' isnt it?

blonderthanred · 17/01/2013 22:34

I know. I was constantly prodding mine. still am if he sleeps too quietly or for longer than usual

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 17/01/2013 22:37

Poor kid, I keep tapping my bump. Well I've had about 10 kicks in the last half hour so I think we're good. MSB is out tonight which doesn't help. Just a bit paranoid with my friend having a still born :(
I'll go brush my teeth and get some cold water! Then it'll probably kick so much I won't be able to sleep!

blonderthanred · 17/01/2013 22:57

Well that sounds like some good kicking. Did they reschedule your GTT? Or did I miss that?

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 17/01/2013 23:02

No I've not heard..I think I might have to ring to prompt that one as time is ticking on.

Eurgh I hate being on my own in the house. Never good (although was fine living alone in a flat, guess because I could put noise down to neighbours?!) but since the fire I get antsy!

blonderthanred · 18/01/2013 03:30

Oh sorry I abandoned you in your hour of antsiness. Totally understandable that you feel like that since the fire - I feel like that anyway and I have no reason to.

The joy of night feeding a snuffly baby - trying to breathe and drink at the same time is proving a challenge for the poor mite. At least he is no longer bunged up the other end (as he just just proved in spectacular fashion).

snowqueenrollo · 18/01/2013 07:52

awful, dreadful night.

Midwife palpated and felt the head yesterday. It set of the worst pain right low down in the front of my uterus. Baby was going mental when I went to bed. I took paracetamol and hot water bottle and told HOLB if it was still bad in an hour he'd have to take me to hospital. Well I fell asleep quite quickly, but then have been awake on and off since 3am with baby thrashing about in there.

So fed up. So close to my homebirth but still have some criteria to meet. M/w yesterday concerned baby is small as fundus measuring under. I have been bang on or slightly over all the way through so wondering if it's because I was kind of squished on my sofa rather than flat out on a GP examination bed?

I just want to cry....i just want this baby out....this discomfort and uncertainty is making me scared and anxious.

LPplusOne · 18/01/2013 17:34

Oh, Rolls I'm sorry that you're having such an anxious and painfilled time.

Well, I've basically made it to 37 weeks and if I went into labour in the middle of the night we could go to the luffly MLU. That said, I don't feel anywhere near to this baby's arrival. In fact, for some reason I have a niggling feeling that it may be quite a while to go...

Is it horrible that I'm actually impatiently contemplating a c-section?

LPplusOne · 18/01/2013 17:36

Glad you're feeling some good kicks faife! 'Tis nerve-wrecking, yes?!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 18/01/2013 22:14

Oh poor queenie :( every day must feel like a marathon. But you have made it to Friday! Two more days and you can let this baby pop out! I hope your fundus improves in time.

Yes was a scary couple of days LP. Happy to report having been counting kicks today and felt over 30 :) wriggly Pickle! I do think its important that I eat well and frequently. Long day at work. Weather grinch vile and I have trudge back in tomorrow lunchtime and do it all again Confused Roll on Sunday and a day off!

FriendofDorothy · 18/01/2013 23:02

The Mister has finally given in on the dummy issue. The Little Mister is currently happy sucking on a dummy and I feel vindicated!

bluer · 19/01/2013 08:53

Hi all! Glad to see you're still hanging in there queenie. been super busy at work and super tired at night... At the moment there are four of us in my dept who are all due in summer and I've been outed by a daft member of smt so I think the whole school now knows! We're the talk of the staffroom!
faith did you see the last episode of grand hotel? I was shouting at the TV!

snowqueenrollo · 19/01/2013 09:51

wow......i slept all night. no pains, no middle of the night wee.......

one more day to go and i will be officially on the Home Birth on call list.

FriendofDorothy · 19/01/2013 09:52

Hurray! A good night's sleep always helps!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 19/01/2013 10:00

Wonderful news queenie! Bet you feel fantastic?!

I do not want to go to work :( I don't even have a clean tunic, I've had to bung them on a quick wash. Will just get them washed and dried in time I reckon!

blonderthanred · 19/01/2013 10:35

That's great news Queenie.

Faith I had a dream about you, we were both up late breastfeeding and I said, so much for no more night shifts eh!

Very happy this morning as my friend who had a mc just when I got my BFP had a lovely healthy baby this morning.

snowqueenrollo · 19/01/2013 11:09

actually I could go back to bed for a couple if hours. wonder if my body is gearing up for something to happen? lots of pain on and off, with added back pain.

I'm really so bored but was in so much pain yesterday after walking into the GP surgery from the car park that I daren't even attempt to do more than waddle to the loo and back. Have DS here today though so I am being kept amused and busy with him.
