Congrats to all!

No sign of mine yet :( And yes, I'm still being sick every damn day and night at 40 + 6 :( Really thought my morning sickness days would be over by now... Oh well, surely it can't be much longer! Thanks Mrs B, will pop over to the June thread to say 'hi' - thank you especially for the sympathy - sometimes I start feeling like a bit of a wuss to be whinging about it all the time, so your kind thoughts make me feel much better :)

hockeymum · 05/06/2006 14:50

thebecster - so sorry you are still so sick. I know what it is like and it's so horrible, the heat doesnt make it any better does it? Good luck for the next few days, I look forward to reading your birth announcement. I expect that you'll stop being sick a day after the birth and feel so much better afterwards. And remember what I said about it sometimes being easier after the birth than when you are pregnant, don't listen to what people tell you over the next few days. It'll all be worthwhile when you have your little one!

hockeymum, you're always so kind - thank you! Hope Theo is behaving & all's well with you. Really just can't wait to join you on the postnatal thread!

hockeymum · 06/06/2006 18:04

thebecster - here i am with my daily message so that you and anyone else lurking who hasn't had their baby yet are not on your own!

Soon you will be pushing your little one around the park and letting all the old ladies admire him/her (they do love to stop and chat with mums of little ones).

Thinking of you bumpy ones!

Hello all, sorry it has taken me so long to get bcak in touch but been spending as much time getting to know baby Cameron as possible and seem to have lost all ability to log on since he was born!

Needless to say we think he is perfect but I have to be honest and say I think we have really fallen on our feet with him - he is sooo good! He is breast feeding well (with the help of nipple sheilds to help him latch on) and sleeping in three hour blocks through the night. He hardly ever cries and is now becoming more and more alert as the days go on. Plus he is super-cute!!!!!!!!! What more could we ask for?

The labour was all a bit rushed as I went from nothing to contrations 4 mins apart within 2 hours and was 4 cms dilated by the time we got to the hospital. Went striaght into the labour room where they decided he had turned back to back.............a decsion they changed their minds on approx 4 times during the labour and finally agreed he had turned round half way through! All meant I had to be examined over and over again (ouch!)and finally he got stuck and had to be helped out with a suction cup, which was soooo painfull I can't even begin to write about it. All well worth it though and already i am beginning to forget the true pain and only remember vague feelings about it all. Not that I would do it again today though!

Best be off, his highness is starting towake up for his second breakfast...........hope you are all well and I'll try to catch up again soon.

HandbagAddiction · 07/06/2006 11:20

I'm still here with you Becster! I'm now 10 days overdue with no signs of anything happening at all! I had a sweep yesterday which has amounted to nothing apart from some bleeding - although that's tailed off now too! Booked in for an induction on Saturday morning so desparately hoping something happens before then!

hockeymum · 07/06/2006 15:41

The Becster and Handbag Addiction - keep on going (it must be horrible in this warm weather) keep those baby baths filled with cold water and sit and read magazines and watch rubbish telly. Enjoy your icelollies (Theo used to kick loads if I ate a cold ice lolly - kind of miss that feeling of him moving around in me now he's out! - don't miss the sickness one jot though).

Theo and I are going on a swimming course tomorrow (espcially for newborns in a hydrotherapy pool) and I can't wait! He's 6 weeks now (see how quick it goes!) Your babies will be here very soon indeed.

Thinking of you both hugs

Hello

How is everyone doing?

I think I've not been on here since I announced the birth of my little May...

Thats because I have not had a chance to do anything else!

I have to admit I have been finding it really hard juggling a toddler and baby and the lack of sleep? Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I totally forgot what that was like... its like torture bit I think I have finally adjusted and got use to it.

May has really settled into our little family and we all adore her, her personality is really showing this week which is fantastic to see.

The breastfeeding is going really well almost too well that I wonder if she is getting all she needs. She feeds for only 10 mins and during the night only feeds for a few minutes and is back off!!! With dd1 I was up for about an hour!

I have not expressed any milk yet and dread doing it to be honest.

I am fed up feeling fat in this heat - I know I should give myself a break seeing as I only gave birth less than two months ago, but its so hot and my chubb is on show, everytime I catch a glimpse of myself in a window I cringe and to make matters worse I just cant stop eating! I am hungry all the time.

Anyone else have this problem?

Rodeo · 01/07/2006 22:37

Lovecloud, sorry to be nosey (I'm bored and nostalgicly reading the antenatal posts) but think the May lot have moved to their post-natal group thread

Rodeo · 01/07/2006 22:41

Think this is your lot, Love, here HTH

lovecloud · 02/07/2006 17:52
