Hi likecandy

Ive got my scan today and had awful dreams last night, I'm so terrified there's going to be something wrong Im dreading my scan this afternoon :(

Still being sick everyday here

I have an external meeting today, have put on a dress/scarf combo but my belly bump looks huge so i'm not sure how successfully i'll hide it today

Mornin, so lovely hearing all your scan stories! Can't wait for mine but still no date! MW assured me it wld b before 12 weeks tho!

Have any of u given thought to where ur goin to have the baby? Anyone opting for a HB? Dh isn't too keen on it cos he think it'll b messy and is worried if anythin 'goes wrong'. The alternative is a birth centre bout 40 mins away from home where I had 2dd's (don't want or need a hospital birth). Est labour with dd1 was bout 8 hrs n dd2 was only bout 2 and half hrs so worried dc3 will b quick! fingers crossed

Starting to feel a little less sick, tired and generally yuk last cpl of days hope the ms is easing off for all of u too!

thanks for the advice on scan - it's tommorow . i won;t get full result till next week tho.

it's the scar inside that's hurting - it's pain on a line on my uterus in the same place as the visible c-section scar.

got some mad ecwm last night - v bizarre - it somehow managed to find its way to the front of my knickers, as if it came out of my pubic hair. must be the mucus plug forming.

the paralleles between Alien and pregnancy, eh.

don't know why i'm being so flippant. it's denial i think.

re dreams I had one dream around conception that i was in a gigantic swimming pool - the size of a cathedral, with a tiny little girl, and we were swimming together.

otherwise no dreams.

i don't think dreams are premonitory - i have had some terrible dreams about all sorts of things which haven't come true.

sorry to all those with colds - i had one it's awful

kellestar the seasickness wristbands are helping me. you sound like you might be in the hyperemesis gravidarum zone though. I feel for you - this MS has been just outrageous and disabling and awful.

Morning all!

Two things happened last night:

1. I slept through the night without a loo break for the first time in WEEKS; and
2. I had a very strange dream that I gave birth to a MASSIVE baby. It was a girls and she was 16 lbs!! I was completely bewildered in the dream and me and DH were both trying to pretend that we weren't disappointed to have this massive fat baby that wouldn't fit into any of its newborn clothes.

Go figure!

somwhere - I'm with you and don't think the dreams mean much: they are just anxiety dreams with a pregnant / baby flavour which, when you think about it, is pretty natural I think!

Morning all!

I'm back at work (Eurgh) but it's not easy! Feel very flushed! My have had a cheeky look on the appointment system at work and scan is booked in for 17th October! That's forever away. I'll be about 12+5 then!

Today I'm 8+6

Hi all sorry I have been lurking but no time to post! Loving all the lovely scan news. I am off sick at the mo feeling absolutely dreadful with some d&v bug. Touch wood, ok today but that's because I've not dared to eat anything yet. Feel like I've been run over - haven't been this sick in years :(( hopefully the bean is ok in there, scan isn't for another week yet.

Great news on all the scans and good luck ratbagcatbag - am sure you will be fine I have mine tomorrow and the nerves are kicking in!

I would like to say I have a bump but honestly I just look bloated and porky ... My Mum said yesterday that I won't get away with it for much longer and I definately need to buy some bigger clothes. Trousers still fit on thighs and bum but only have a couple of pairs left that do up.... I have not felt like exercising much as so tired and nauseous so am hoping the second trimester is a bit easier and I can manage to do a bit to avoid whale like propoprtions by the end!!!!!

Back from scan! All good so I'm very happy. Also, my EDD moved forward five days to 6th April! I'll update the list.
The sonographer mentioned my placenta is low so they'll check again at 20 weeks but I'm not concerned - I think most move in time.
I'm soooo relieved - I only slept for an hour last night!

Morning all
I know what you all mean with the weird dreams, I dreamt I was back at school after the baby and it was only a few weeks old but I had to take it to the creche and they told me they didn't know how to hold such a young baby and dropped it while I was teaching so I didn't want to leave it there and just didn't turn up for the next lesson. What was really weird was I didn't know in my dream if it was a boy or girl. I remember feeling really scared to leave it alone though.

ratbag I felt exactly the same yesterday I was so on edge the whole morning, it's just such a relief to see a baby moving around in there! Sure everything will be fine for you but good luck and please let us know how it goes!!!!!

pink hope you feel better soon, put your feet up with a hot drink and enjoy your day off work.

Hi pink, I have your bug too left work Tuesday morning and am still off, everything I eat vacates fairly soon and drinking isn't much better, I'm trying to get through lemonade so my bladder is full for my scan soon, (I know they say water but I can never drink that even when haven't gt a d+v bug) on the plus side I've lost five pounds now and lighter than I've been in years and after a frantic google, because I'm a bit of a fat moo overweight apparently baby will be fine borrowing a few of my fat reserves with no ill effects.

Glad you mentioned about sneezing, because I've been doing LOTS of that too. Had only occurred to me yesterday that it had only been since I've been pregnant, but had never heard of it as a symptom before!

Hi Bona - well, the midwife looked askance when I asked if sneezing was a pregnancy symptom, but Google thinks that 'pregnancy rhinitis' is a thing. Hope yours stop soon - it can't last for 9 months, surely!

welcome Aunty I haven't read of sneezing as a symptom yet, although it wouldn't surprise me. I hope I don't get it cos when I do sneeze it is really hurting my lower abdomen, feels like something is being stretched to the point of splitting. Thankfully it only happens now & then (I'm trying not to dwell hard on exactly part of me is being stretched & how much worse it is likely to be...)

Yey, scan was amazing, baby was back flipping and rolling on tummy and waving arms and legs, I was out by one day so have an edd of 31/3/13', ooh I like how the numbers look on that, still sticking in here though if no one minds. So excited. :) :) :)

username - YES YES YES - I am also in pain when I sneeze, paritcularly if lying down. I put that down to the fact that all the muscles down there are really stretching out in preparation at the moment, so I guess everything is just less stable than usual.

ratbag - WOO HOO. Great news, it's just an amazing feeling, isn't it? You're definitely welcome to stick around.

In other news - I've just told my boss. SUCH a good feeling to be 'out'!!

Congrats ratbag and yay for your palindromic due date I love it!

Oh my it never crossed my mind that all the sneezing I'm doing could be pg related well there you go might not be a cold coming after all.

Talking of dreams I had a big meeting today and dreamt that my belly button had popped out like I was about due to give birth but with no bump but everyone knew I was pg because of it.

Funny but I remember being quite self conscious about my newly formed pg outtie last time.

I agree with the sneezy pull! I'm quite snuffly - it was bad when I got my BFP in August my hayfaver was bad and I had to cut out my antihistamines. But yes it pulls on my tummy.
