3rd baby for me, my last appointment was 16 weeks and my next is 28 weeks. Then 34 weeks with mw, 36 with doc, 38 with mw then nothing unless I get to 41 weeks.

I'm quite glad I've been left to my own devises tbh but only because tadpole is a little fidget arse and I'm confident he/she's fine! If it were my first I'd want a bit more contact tbh!

Well saw SIL and she's either 15 or 16 weeks (she's had 2 scans around 12 weeks and they can't agree) and seems rather scared about the whole thing. I tried to be helpful and reassuring but I'm not sure it worked Confused.

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. Me and DH walked to our nearest big tesco (3-4 miles away) and walked home again. It was lively but massively hot!

SpottyTeacakes · 08/09/2012 20:22

Only one of my ankles/feet is really swollen Confused

CODwidow · 08/09/2012 21:29

5th baby for me and I'm quite happy with my appts but must admit if this were first time round I'd want a little more contact Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 08/09/2012 21:31

Dp is getting kicked in the face Grin

EggsMichelle · 08/09/2012 22:10

The cat just jumped on and off my belly like a trampoline and now Shrimpy is protesting by tossing around and kicking me, it's not my fault the cat is fickle!

Secondsop · 08/09/2012 22:44

spotty that happened to my husband the other day!

eggsmichelle our cat went right off me when I became pregnant, but seems to have forgiven me now. Although I'm sure it'll be a different story when the baby actually arrives...

knottyhair · 09/09/2012 06:35

Ellie, hope the ABs do their job and you feel better soon, and a belated Happy Birthday to your DD for Friday! Spotty, hope you get good news on Monday, and that your leg pain gets better. Emily, ouch! Hope you're OK. WillYou, I can definitely see from here that the chair looked very dodgy before you went anywhere near it! Mwah, couldn't help but Grin at your DS but glad he's OK! They can be little monkeys when they get a new skill!
Spent the day at the beach yesterday, wore sunglasses and did apply sun protection but have still woken up looking like a panda in negative Blush. Not a good look for the school run tomorrow. Appt wise, I saw the MW at 24 weeks, have next scan & consultant appt at 28 weeks, MW again at 29 weeks for bloods, then another scan & consultant appt at 34 wks when I should get my ELCS date (more contact due to "geriatric" status and thyroid problem).

pmgkt · 09/09/2012 07:53

Cod I have ordered from Joe browns. Never had any problems. Sounds lovely

PurplePidjin · 09/09/2012 08:22

Morning all Brew

SpottyTeacakes · 09/09/2012 08:24

Dp was all like 'Let's go to Peppa Pig World today' and I got all excited, then he said, 'Oh, let's just stay at home'. Humph.

Hope everyone enjoys the sunshine today, not going to last!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 09/09/2012 08:44

I was awake from 1.30 till 6.30!!! I just want sleeeeeeep!

emilyeggs · 09/09/2012 09:12

Morning ladies, what a lovely weekend Smile we had a BBQ with all the family to celebrate d step d 6 birthday, got a few midgey bights now but never mind.

EggsMichelle · 09/09/2012 09:30

Good morning! I'm getting my iPad today, so excited (and very spoilt) so im fidgiting waiting for DH to wake up and for Tesco to open.

emilyeggs · 09/09/2012 12:31

eggs Envy of iPad

HoneyMum21 · 09/09/2012 12:32

i'm so annoyed. DH has gone out to work so i did a bit more unpacking and just sat down with a cup of tea to watch casualty from last night only to find that it wasn't on because of the proms. Angry

Bubbless · 09/09/2012 12:52

im 23 weeks this week, so id better book my appt for 25! thank you guys! my notes are so confusing!
whats the difference between seeing the mw and seeing the doctor for the appt? i think id rather see the mw tbh.... although not sure why!

had an awful nights sleep last night, went to the toilet 4 times!! but dp made me scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast so all wasnt lost!

making mocha muffins now... they smell yummy!

thats a shame about peppa pig land, this seems to be the perfect weather to do it in spotty!
when does the sunshine go? i hate working when its this hot!!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/09/2012 12:59

Tomorrow going to be cloudy and 19 here in the south. I do love the sun but not when I have fat ankles, nothing to wear and no energy to chase dd around! Also it sucks when dp is working as I feel I can't enjoy it as much.

My appointments are completely different, I've only met my community mw once and she said she didn't really need to see me but I knew she would be doing post natal visits so wanted to put a face to the name.

This appointment is when you get your Matb1 form if you haven't already got it.

I'm sitting out in the sun whilst dp gets dd down for her nap, she's always bad at going down when he's here. I'm loving having a lay down in the garden on my own all I can hear is birds Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/09/2012 13:34

Oh shite, I knew there was something I should've got on Friday. I had a dozy older midwife doing holiday cover and I haven't got my Mat1b. Now I'll have to request it from the doctor and the receptionist was really arsey when I asked before Angry

What a little monkey Mwah you'll have to grow eyes in the back of your head now!

The sun's already gone in here, directly correlated with my pegging out my bedding!

I've bid on a Quinny on ebay that finishes tonight so really excited to see if I get it!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/09/2012 13:43

WillYou you could text your mw and ask her to post it to you? I forgot to ask for mine last week so will just wait until I go back at 28 weeks. Good luck on your bidding Smile

WillYouDoTheFandango · 09/09/2012 14:03

Ha, I have an office phone no. for the midwife that is manned Tuesday-Friday 9-10am. Anything else is doctors or delivery suite depending on how far along you are. You weren't kidding about being lucky with your care!

MyDaydream · 09/09/2012 14:04

eggs have fun getting sucked into iPad. They're so much fun.
bubbless I consider 4 wees to be a good night! Although I've figured out its the tossing and turning that makes me need to wee since when I sleep alone I don't go at all. Can you call your MW for clarification on the appointments. At 28 weeks you should have a blood test it could just be in your area the Dr does it. Or it could be something totally different.
willyou I imagine the same is going to happen here in about an hour when my bedding finishes its cycle.
DP told me he was going to make me breakfast. I'm still waiting for it. We woke up at 12 (lazy!), it took him an hour to get motivated and half an hour to get dressed, he's wearing shorts and a top, no underwear. It's taken him another half hour to go to the shop, make a cup of tea and put breakfast under. I really want to undo the years of uselessness MIL drilled into him, but seriously if it was me doing breakfast we'd have been eating at 12.30. I'm hungry.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/09/2012 14:13

MyDaydream dp is currently talking about firing up the BBQ for dinner! We've had breakfast and lunch Grin dd had us up at five though!

WillYou that's rubbish I definitely forget how lucky we are round here!

Bubbless · 09/09/2012 14:18

ahh, okay! i forgot about the mat1b form!
when does that have to be in by? eurgh, so complex!!

ohhh, all of this talk of bbqs is making me hungry.. no idea what im doing for dinner yet :/

SpottyTeacakes · 09/09/2012 14:25

It's up to your employer Bubbless legally they only have to see proof of due date which could be anything (purple notes, hospital letter) I think it's just easier for them to ask for the matb1

Bubbless · 09/09/2012 14:29

that implies my employers care / pay attention to the fact im pregnant! my 'risk assessment' was done by a member of staff who joined the company in a role lower than me a month ago, with no idea as to what a risk assessement was.. aparently, my manager sent her an internet link and said that i shouldnt lift anything heavy and to sign the forms... i work for an amazing company Hmm
i only signed a contract during the summer hols, been working for them for 4 years!!!

trying to keep legally on the right side of them, they are evil and would probs not pay mat leave if they could possibly wriggle out of it, but doesnt help that none of them know what 'they' as a company want / need!!

[rant over]

will get mw to sign mat1b form at 25week appt, is that, legally, in my time frame? :/
