Guys don't have the right approach to packing! Logic doesn't come into it! Hope your move has gone ok HoneyMum.

HoneyMum21 · 06/09/2012 19:41

Thanks :) It's lovely not to be living in a damp flat with a slug problem anymore!

MyDaydream · 06/09/2012 19:43

Welcome secret
spotty I did get where I was going, but forgetting my purse meant I had to walk up a big hill which I was trying to avoid. It's turned a bit into one of those days though.
WeeJo (feel rude shortening your name to wee!) hope you enjoy yoga. I'm hoping to take it up once I've moved/started getting MA.
bubbless massive happy thoughts going out to you, it sounds like you've got a crap situation at the minute. I really hope you start getting some support at work soon. Baby has probably been wriggling away you've just been too busy to notice.
honey that's so strange, I imagine he thinks they'll come in useful if the toaster ever breaks? We do still have the boxes for our tv and his computer but that's purely to keep them safe when we move.

itsMYNutella · 06/09/2012 20:02

honey I have to admit I still have the box for my toaster... it is a well loved Dualit toaster which I love and would be really peeved if it got damaged in a move so thats my excuse... DP keeps the boxes for everything! The only way to get him to throw the boxes out (for this cable, that cable, a router, some other techy gadget...etc etc) is a slow process of suggestion and comments like "do you still need this?" and then "Really?" and I suggest aiming to throw away one box a month :)

SpottyTeacakes · 06/09/2012 20:25

Cake mark 2 is out the oven!

Thank you clarella any advice is welcome and needed. I know it sounds funny but he wouldn't actually remember to look at the visual prompt, he forgot which door to come out of today to meet me after school so his teacher will be keeping him now until I'm there Smile

DH was pretty good yesterday when I had my mini meltdown yesterday he got the boys to bed and cooked tea for us and gave me cuddles so that was nice. But is now currently stood outside smoking and all I can smell is cigarette smoke as I have the windows open Angry

HoneyMum21 · 06/09/2012 21:40

keeping box to move toaster in is fine. Moving the empty boxes of long dead appliances is not!

itsMYNutella · 06/09/2012 21:46

Oh dear Cod at the meltdown but yay :) for the lovely DH :)

Thank you Honey that makes me feel normal :) ... and I reckon your DH definitely has a problem... or some sort of box obsession? Hmm

ellliebelle · 06/09/2012 23:47

Sorry not haf chance to catch up just popped on on the off chance someone might still be awake? Im laid here worrying about reduced movements :(

Secondsop · 07/09/2012 00:00

Hey ellliebelle. What's up?

ellliebelle · 07/09/2012 00:08

Hi seconds just sat down this evening and realised not really felt many movements last couple of days so have troed pridding my belly and sitting hunched up and laying flat all which usually work but nothing :( all tbe while dh was snoring next to me without a care in the world.

Any way i woke him up and he reminded me i was asleep from 8 last night +usually feel most movenents from 9 onwards) so wouldnt remember feeling anything last night. Then he got me a big cold drink and i have felt a few movements since. Not loads but obviously enough to put his mind atvrest since he is snoring again already.

Thanks for replying i was worried as to what i was supposed to do at this time of night if i still didnt feel anything

Secondsop · 07/09/2012 01:14

Glad to hear that you're more reassured. Cold drink gets my boy moving too - in fact i just had a sip of fizzy water and he's going nuts. I think movements can vary a bit from day to day (check with your midwife what "normal" variation would be) plus i find my baby moves more when im still than when i'm walking around so it depends on what ive been up to, and what ive eaten, but if you have any doubts in future look at the contact numbers in your maternity notes - there might be a 24 hour one for the maternity ward, or it might be that you have to present yourself at a&e, but if there's a change in the baby's movement pattern there will be someone who can monitor the baby's heartbeat to make sure all is well.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 06:38

ellie baby might have turned and be facing inwards. I don't think they say to start counting kicks until 28 weeks, how far along are you? Obviously if you're worried then call midwife/labour ward they would be more than happy to reassure you. Maybe give mw a call this morning?

TMI here I think I'm leaking wee Blush after I've been to the loo it just carries on a bit. I'm only 24 weeks! Sad

MyDaydream · 07/09/2012 08:26

ellie hope you managed to get some sleep. Over the last few weeks I've felt less movement, which has picked up again over the last few days. If your really worried then you should have an emergency number in your notes, mine goes to the labour ward so if you don't have a number might be worth a google.
spotty I've found my wee has turned into more of a dribble when I go to the loo and if I don't sit there for a few seconds after I think I've finished I have dribble when I stand.
I slept on the sofa last night because I got so sick of telling DP to shut up and move his arse back onto his side. When I went upstairs to get dressed he said "oh I thought you'd left already" ans just went back to sleep saying nothing when I said I'd slept downstairs. Angry

FriendofDorothy · 07/09/2012 09:17

Oh thank God! I thought I was the only person who has started dribbling!

emilyeggs · 07/09/2012 09:22

24 weeks today and as of 6pm I'm off for ten days Grin happy Friday everyone Grin

emilyeggs · 07/09/2012 09:25

Ps, anyone else feel like there insides hurt in the morning?

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 09:30

My bump was really hurting yesterday emily

Wink
Secondsop · 07/09/2012 09:57

I've got a really upset stomach/bowel this morning (sorry for the detail...)

MyDaydream · 07/09/2012 11:02

Is anyone else nauseous still? I felt really bad in the early days but it went away. This week I've felt awful with it. I've just done my theory and the hazard perception part with the videos made me travel sick! I never get travel sick now I'm too worried to get the bus home in case the twisty roads make me vom.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/09/2012 11:02

Hello all, I've been neglecting the thread for a week or so - I promise to catch up! Just been for my midwife appt and am measuring 25cm exactly at 24+6 so all good there Grin . The heart rate sounded exactly like a galloping horse biut that's supposed to be girls old wives tales are a load of crap

I am very impressed that I managed to snore DP awake last night, he thought it was himself as it was so loud, revenge is sweet!

I tend to lean forward after I've finished weeing to allow the last bit out, seems to stop the dribbles for now.

Has anyone else found that songs with bass make the baby wiggle about? The "Bom bom" song is the worst! When it comes on the radio he kicks the crap out of me!

Clarella · 07/09/2012 12:57

Hi willyou!

I'm aware that I'm a little further on than some peeps (hovered between Nov and Dec thread initially, then told Dec, then they redid date to 26th Nov but by then was firmly ensconced on here!) And I just wanted to say I really noticed peculiar and unreliable movement patterns until just this last week, some times a couple of days where I either hadn't noticed or he was in the wrong place. Earlier at around 22 weeks DH could feel him lots but even that seemed less. Is it 28 weeks we start properly counting? I can definately feel him more consistently and/or get him going if I'm worried (tea, dark Choc and a lie down!) so I would certainly find it easier to count now, up to 27 weeks it was certainly erratic. Just wanted to post that incase it eases anyone's worry a little, though of course if its worrying too much definately contact mw. Also had painful morning bump frequently too, comes and goes.

Also - I went through the dribble thing a few weeks ago just to offer a little more hope, but it has (touch wood) stopped to be replaced with just more needing to wee and more frequent trips! It was always after a wee when I was walking out of the toilet. It has been replaced however with A LOT more discharge so I've taken to using thin liners! Could just be me however! I was worried that was it though: dribbling till the end!

What I have really noticed though is that there's suddenly a lot more pressure 'down there' and its getting very uncomfortable. And sorry, tmi, but I've decided its wise to use the you-know-what cream religiously all the time :(

JoJoB77 · 07/09/2012 13:09

Hi all Smile

Ive just had my 25 week check & all is well. She reckons it could be a boy after listening to the hb. Not relying on that tho Grin

Im starting to feel heavy now & know this is just the beginning!

Re dribbling. I havent had the joy of that yet but i have also taken to wearing pantyliners as discharge is getting a bit much Blush

Lovely aint it! Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2012 13:12

Clarella have you thought about getting the pessaries?

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/09/2012 13:52

Clarella I had you-know-what for about 3 weeks. I got the super-strength industrial cream, have cut right down on the baths and have taken to sleeping in just a t-shirt let the air circulate it's not a sexy look, but touch wood it's cleared up now!
